When AJ and Williams fought over it everyone was bitching that AJ was so far down the card that he was competing for a meaningless title. The belt has had no credibility since Booker T held it, and has no value as a television prop outside of "providing you with something to complain about". It has not enriched a feud since Booker/AJ and with TNA's current set up they simply don't have the time, nor the need, for the title to be a regular part of the television show.

You will note that they have already successfully built a loaded PPV card in which every match has heat going into it. At that point why the fuck would you need the title?


They do love that fake sign spot in TNA.

As Norcal said, if you threw it in now then yeah it would be worthless. If we hadn't had a month and a half of Young in Hollywood, it could have been added as a way to give Crimson his first gold or Morgan saying it's a replacement for not winning the world title and Joe saying it was the only thing he's never gotten. BUt instead we have Chachi vs. Eric Young in his underwear.

But it wouldn't have done anything. The feud already had a justification, it already had a build and it already had heat and intrigue. You think it was going to draw more to have an enhancement title on the line? You think it was magically going to make the match more entertaining?

At least Eric Young's segments serve and accomplish a purpose.
