Aside from the fact that it would be far better than Aries/Hardy for the belt, a match this long in the making (with the feud having a lot to do with the title) should have been the last match of the night and been for the title. They built it like that for nearly a year, then bailed 3/4ths of the way so that Aries could get his reign in.

This match doesn't need the belt for a few reasons.
1.) Austin Aries is better than both Roode and Storm and Hardy is a bigger draw than all those three, even when he does nothing.
2.) The feud started off about the belt but transitioned into pure hate, which is fine because if it were for the belt it would be taking up two high profile spots instead of one like it is now.
3.) Storm is average and Roode is a typical heel, he's good at what he does but he's nothing special. A couple of months from now nobody is going to remember Roode's reign and people already barely remember Storm's.

Hardy's definitely the biggest draw, buuuuuuuuuuuuut Aries isn't quite THAT good. I like him, but people need to get off his dick. His title reign's been a bit of a let down, especially since he had to follow Roode (one of the best champions in TNA's history).
Everybody knows the deal, they hate each other. Would it have been better with the belt involved? You're damn right it would have. What better way for Storm to grab the brass ring and finally have a real title reign than to win it over Storm?
How the fuck is he average? He consistently gets some of the loudest reactions in TNA, if not THE loudest. Roode's also one of the best heels in the business. These guys are the cream of the crop in TNA's main event scene.
The last part's straight-up laughable, dude. Roode's title reign will be one of the greatest in the company's history, in the long run. He had a fucking awesome reign. Sure, Storm's was mediocre (which was kind of the point, I hope you get that), but Roode's reign was great.
How God damn memorable did you expect it to be? It was the building of an angle. Stop being an idiot and over analyzing everything about Roode and Storm.
