NFL Week 6 LD

Pretty good. He is Tom fucking Brady afterall. Bad Titans defense or not, he made great throw after great throw today. Not a single bad throw all game.

He still has 6 TD's and the record is still 7 and he should be allowed to get it. So put him back in and let him get the record.................Well they should have let him get it and put him back in. To late now.

Guess they figured letting him set the record for most TDs in one qtr. was good enough:shrug:

I'm pretty sure they could have put him back in if they wanted, I remember games where Favre came out after a big hit and would run back out on the field and pick his back-up QB off the field cause he wanted one more shot, I sure they just figured why risk him getting hurt if he doesn't need to be in there, and Brady does seem like the type a guy who's worried about individual records, so I'm sure it doesn't bother him that much

They don't really want to risk an injury.. He isn't protected like he was in years past, and the weather is another factor. Pulling him was the right move, he could step up and slip and there goes the season...

I'm pretty sure X is thinking of baseball.

In football, if someone takes time because of an injury that occurred on the field, then the person injured has to sit out the next play, no matter what. But other than that... there are no other rules to my knowledge for players who get taken out of the game that they can't return.

And WTF happened to the Jets? Not only is Sanchez playing terrible, but what a ******ed call on the fake FG.

Oh, and yay Oakland!!! Haha... I fucking hate the Eagles so much. It's always good to see them get beat by anyone outside the NFC South Division.

Yeah but you can always put the pitcher back in if you put him in the field for an out or hit or something.. lol

Jesus, this Jets game is unbelievable, man. If the Jets lose, then Mark Sanchez very well may need to be put on suicide watch.

What a sweet catch by Lee Evans. Hopefully it stands. I betted on Buffalo making a wild card this season.

Oh but I thought Sanchez was the next Joe Namath?!

:lmao: :lmao:

Well, to be fair... Troy Aikman had some of the worst numbers in the history of the game his rookie season, and look how he turned out.

Sanchez definitely has potential. If whether or not he lives up to it, however, will take a couple of more years to figure out.

Bills win in what has to be the second worst game of all time behind the Cleveland Buffalo game that happened last week.

Nice, that puts the Pats at first place in the AFC East. Great day.

Bills win.

If the Jets end up not making the playoffs... they very well may point to this game as to why they didn't. Pathetic showing, all around from that team. Glad I'm not a fan of them. Looking forward to Greeny rip them a new asshole in the morning, or continue to have blind faith in them.

BTW, Mike & Mike in the Morning = Best Sports Show on Television.

Fuck Sanchez on suicide watch. I'm a Jet fan, and I need to be on suicide watch. That was the biggest embarrassment ever. And to think I went to my sports bar so I can watch the game with the fairly large Bills contingent there.

The D was good until Jenkins got hurt (he may be done for the year too, mammoth loss if that happens, figuratively and literally). If the D didn't play a short field all game because of the picks, they would have been better.

Sanchez was shit, and he cost us 2 games so far this year. Why is everybody acting like he is the shittiest QB of all time? HE'S A FUCKING ROOKIE! Rookie QBs (apparently ones not named Flacco and Ryan) make mistakes, and cost teams games occasionally. What are the Jets to do, bench him for Kellen Clemens, who lost QB battles in 3 training camps? That's smart :icon_rolleyes:. Sanchez gives this team a better chance to win now, and in the future, so these games are just GROWING PAINS. Give him a couple years, and he'll be fine.

Oh but I thought Sanchez was the next Joe Namath?!

:lmao: :lmao:

Joe Namath didn't have a winning record til his third year (and led the league in picks his 2nd and 3rd year). Peyton Manning was 3-13 his rookie year, Troy Aikman was 0-11 as a starter his rookie year, John Elway was 4-6 in his rookie starts, and Fran Tarkenton didn't have a winning record til his 4th year. All of those guys are (or will be, in Manning's case) in the Hall of Fame. I'm not saying he IS going to be as good as any of the aforementioned Hall of Famers, but he CAN be. Rookie QBs typically do not have success their first year (Ryan and Flacco are the exception, not the rule), so Sanchez having a couple shit game isn't surprising. I would rather him get them out of his system early, then play shit late in the year, when we could be in a playoff hunt.

I highly, highly, highly doubt Sanchez will even be able to be mentioned next to those names you just mentioned. I really don't think he's going to be successful as an NFL QB, I never thought he would be.

And don't worry, your Jets weren't the most embarrassed team this weekend. That definitely belongs to the Titans. They were crushed so badly it was just pathetic.

No, that would be the Eagles. How do you get shut out by Oakland?

By scoring 9 points............ They should be embarrassed about losing, but they did score 9 points, so it wasn't a shutout.

I can hope, can't I? And the key work in that statement I made about the QB was he CAN be. I am not saying he will, but he has a CHANCE to be.

That is true. The Jet game was more embarrassing for me personally because I had to sit next to a horde of Bills fans (who were talking about how they suck and who predicted 42-0 Jets before kickoff).

The Tennessee Titans just suck this year, and made Brady think it was 2007 again (it isn't). It's Vince Young time again (I know he came in once the score got out of hand, but he needs to start for the rest of the year, so they can decide what to do with him).

Great day of Football, all around. New Orleans and Indy could honestly both go to the Superbowl - undefeated.

I truthfully don't see New Orleans going undefeated because whether anyone wants to hear it or not.. Sean Payton doesn't know how to play Carolina. :lmao: Kidding, while Payton's record against Carolina isn't exactly great.. our team this year just isn't the same team thats owned him in the past. I see New Orleans winning our division.. but possibly losing to New England. 15-1 by the end of the year. With Indy possibly being 16-0, or 15-1 as well.

Also, I purely hope Carolina learns from our last drive from today. When we put it in Delhomme's hands.. the game gets tied and possibly lost. When we hand off and run EVERY SINGLE PLAY OF A DRIVE.. we eat up 6-8 minutes and score a TD. Lesson of the drive? RUN THE FUCKING BALL!

And then there's this..

While that hit was fucking amazing.. even as a Panthers fan, it was uncalled for and completely illegal. The ball was still in mid-air when Wesley launched himself and there is truly no reason or understanding on what he was thinking.. except maybe he thought he could get another call similar to last week, where Carolina was shoved into the returner and recovered the ball which lead to us winning that game.

Regardless.. Wesley likely doesn't even MAKE the amount of money the league will slap on his ass in fines. And I'm willing to bet a suspension comes down from this as well. I'd be shocked if the fine is anything less than $75,000 and a 1 game, or more, suspension. No reason for this what so ever.

But still a fucking great hit. Lesson learned? Don't fuck with our Special Teams unit.. we have enough 3rd and 4th string players to spare by taking out your star returners.. bitches. :lmao:
