NFL Week 3 LD

Ok, says the Panthers fan :). How's Clauson working out for you?

:lmao: Oh noes, Panthers suck jokes.

I'm fine with understanding we can't win games right now for various reasons. We're just now beginning our long run to rebuilding things.

Atlanta's been rebuilding things since.. when, now? And how'd you guys fair in the playoffs last year? Wait. Well, that's okay I'm sure they dominated the year Ryan took them to the Playof.. oh, uh, nevermind. I'm sure they'll continue to "improve" as they claim to always do every year. Because it's clearly winning them Championships.

Hey, now don't bring this up when you're basically in the same boat as us. How many playoff games have the Panthers won lately? But yeah our chances are improving this year as we seemed to have our act together in the Ryan/Smith regime (hopefully). Although I wish the Panthers luck in there endeavors to rebuild once again.

The game only went to OT due to that lucky punt that bounced off one of a our player's foot and a mind lapse on our safety that allowed Moore to score that 72 yard TD. If those two things doesn't happen then Falcons win without OT.

:lmao: Moore had 2 scores. One was an 80 yd TD catch. He also returned a punt 72 yds - which set-up Shockey's score; which is what you're going on about.

If Atlanta is so good, then answer two things.

(1.) Why'd they have to hope for New Orleans to miss a FG in OT.

(2.) Why'd the game even go to OT? Good teams don't win in OT, or play for OT. They win by double scores in regulation.

The only boat we're in together, is the one where part of our team sucks.

For Carolina - it's the Offense.
For Atlanta - it's the Defense.

Well to be fair the Panthers do suck Will. ;)

:lmao: Who's arguing that point right now? We're 0-3, going to face a (now) pissed off New Orleans club.. only to host the returning Peppers and Bears before an 0-5 start heading into our bye.

Eh, I fucked up (don't we all?) but the point is that TD doesn't happen if DeCoud knew his position on the play at the time. I believe if you read my post that replied to jtm then I fully explained why the game went into OT. Two fuck up plays on our part that help NO score two TD's. Also, good luck in trying to do the same thing next week :).

Also, you count OT I seem to count the first 4 quarters were Ryan was completing passes

I'm not going to lie, Tony Gonzalez was killing us, I admit it, and I was really pissed about it, but the fact remains... Atlanta had no answer for the Saints offense. The only time you stopped us was when Devery dropped the ball, and when Drew made two bone-headed plays. That wasn't Atlanta outplaying the Saints; that was the Saints fucking over themselves.

When it really counted though, our defense stepped up and got us the ball. Unfortunately the kicker choked.

and Turner was running the ball right down the defense throat (The TOP doesn't lie).

No, he wasn't. He had one really good run, but that was it until that last possession, and by that time the Saints defense was tired. Regardless, Turner averaged 3.3 yards per carry... that's nothing to really brag about, especially when he had like a 50 yard run on top of that.

And that happened right after Devery dropped a wide opened pass on third down.

and a mind lapse on our safety that allowed Moore to score that 72 yard TD.

Lance Moore out ran him, plain and simple. And even if that play doesn't happen, the Saints still march right down the field and score.

If those two things doesn't happen then Falcons win without OT.

No, the Falcons didn't have one clean stop for the Saints offense that ENTIRE game. Brees had 2 inceptions, and there were two instances where Devery dropped the ball, but that was it. Saints offense destroyed Atlanta's defense today, and they were very fortunate Hartley missed that field goal.

When a team gives up "two fuck up plays", you kinda need to step back and wonder if it's not the luck of the opposing Offense - or the shit of the favored Defense.

And I don't expect Carolina to be able to match New Orleans. Somehow we always play them close, but that was when we had a half-way mediocre passing game. We now have NO passing game, and a running game that's being shut down before the half.

I'll repeat from earlier.. I'm starting as many Saints players as I can get my hands on, because next week - NO, at home, is going to be pissed and wanting to prove Atlanta's win was a fluke and nothing more.

Man, I could not care less for this Indy/Denver game.

I'm so ready to watch Miami lay down an ass whoopin' on New York. That game cannot come any sooner.

Will, good teams find ways to win by any means neccessary. You aren't gonna blow out every single team 35-0. Especially against a good team like NO. A good team wins games that are down to the wire and they need to make plays.

1. I started Lee Evans over Shonn Grenne at my flex position because New Englands secondary isn't good. Evans got me 10 points (PPR league). If Buffalo had a half-way decent QB, they would have won that game. Don't know if Greene would get 10, so good move there.
2. Vick damn well better throw to Maclin.
3. LT or Shonn Greene tonight for my Fantasy team? leaning towards LT, thinking he'll get to do one of those LT ball flips after scoring a TD. I've been waiting to see one of those in Jets Green.
4. I had 10 bucks on my picks this week, and I think I got 3 of the 1:00 games right. Shit
5. Other Fantasy Team: Brandon Jackson, Shonn Green, or Ricky Williams?

That's all that really needed to be said. You can't be both raped, and consider it to be a fluke. Rape is not a fluke my friend, it's indeed serious business.

:lmao:

You stopped a passing team's rushing offense.. and.. you.. want.. congratulated.. why?
Because the Falcons won a game against a better team? And I want congratulations for drafting and starting Matty Ice, when a lot of people said it was a bad pick. He was good again this week. Hells to the yes.

You'll be waiting a REALLY long time for that one, man. The Sanchize is gonna throw all over that Miami secondary, and Marshall ain't escaping AlCROtraz, much like Randy Moss couldn't last week. Plus LT gonna get in the End Zone finally.

How the fuck is that not Defensive holding on the Redskins?! Apparently Orakpo can get flagged for touching him with a finger, but the other guy gets nothing for flatout hugging the shit outta him?!

ST, Sanchez did good b/c NE's D is shit. I told you that last week. When Ryan Fitzpatrick can put up 30 points on you and look good, you know you suck.

And Miami for the win. Sanchez will blow dick on the road, for realz.

EDIT: And shit, this Oakland/Arizona game is a turnover fest. :lmao:

So we agree on the passing then? I do admit that Greer (I think that's who it is) did a good job stopping White except for that TD. You say the Saints fucked themselves but I can flip and say that was the Falcons making great plays. Owens had to leap far for the first INT and a pass rush can be so helpful when it works which led to Brees second INT. The fact remains though that when called for the Falcons delivered whether it was TDs, turnovers, or running down the clock.

When it really counted though, our defense stepped up and got us the ball. Unfortunately the kicker choked.

I give you that but still where was that for the whole game? Could have used it to stop a couple of 4th downs. Our offense basically raped them.

No, he wasn't. He had one really good run, but that was it until that last possession, and by that time the Saints defense was tired. Regardless, Turner averaged 3.3 yards per carry... that's nothing to really brag about, especially when he had like a 50 yard run on top of that.

Well there was Snelling too who gave us a couple of big first downs and the defense was tired from our running game. Unlike the Saints, we actually stuck to it.

And that happened right after Devery dropped a wide opened pass on third down.

That still doesn't give you a TD or even good field position as I believe they were back deep in their own territory. It still doesn't change that the Falcons mess up gave the Saints a chance to score.

Lance Moore out ran him, plain and simple. And even if that play doesn't happen, the Saints still march right down the field and score.

Nope, DeCoud simply didn't know what his position was on the play they even replayed it and showed that's what happen in the game and that's pure speculation on your part. I could say that may be we get a stop or another turnover.

Again that's what you say but I say the defense stepped up and made some great plays such as the two INT's and the forced fumble on the 4th and 1. (Did you forget that?) The Falcons' offense destroyed the Saints' defense today and the Saints were very fortunate for two bone headed plays on our part to have even taken it to OT.

Is it just me, or have the AFC West possibly have been underrated. KC looks like the surprise team of the year, SD should still be good, and Oakland may be good enough for 7-8 wins, especially with BRUCE GRADKOWSKI. Denver will probably suck, but you can't be 4-4.

NFC East I still think will be down, and the NFC West, as predicted, will be horrible. First one to 8 wins wins the division.

When a team gives up "two fuck up plays", you kinda need to step back and wonder if it's not the luck of the opposing Offense - or the shit of the favored Defense.

One of those plays were on Special Teams. Our defense were pretty much raped against the pass (they stopped the run though) but made a couple of spectacular plays to give our offense the ball who didn't need fuck ups to score.

And I don't expect Carolina to be able to match New Orleans. Somehow we always play them close, but that was when we had a half-way mediocre passing game. We now have NO passing game, and a running game that's being shut down before the half.

I'm being serious when I do wish you luck. They are a very tough team to beat especially at home and I'm glad that we did.

I'll repeat from earlier.. I'm starting as many Saints players as I can get my hands on, because next week - NO, at home, is going to be pissed and wanting to prove Atlanta's win was a fluke and nothing more.

You call it a fluke, I call it a great effort by Atlanta to get a much needed statement on the road (thankfully).
