NFL Draft 2010

SSC is viewing :)

but he isn't talking :(

I would love for the Vikings to take a flyer on Jevan Snead. He was a 1st round talent two years ago and seemed to lose all confidence in his abilities.

EDIT: There goes Becker's boy to Houston. Good value pick by the Texans.

Trey Wingo oozes awesomeness. The perfect crew for ESPN would be Wingo, Gruden, McShay, Kiper, and Young. Definitely the most entertaining of the bunches that have done the draft.

Agree about the first 2, but I really am starting to hate Kiper. I would rather have Wingo, Gruden, and maybe McShay. I am indifferent with Steve Young.

I kept Kiper there for his arguments with McShay and his awesomely bad hair.

good point (about the Hair). Even with the arguements, I would rather have a "I know something about football" vs. McShay just watching a lot of film and guessing. Plus, can't ESPN just throw 8 trillion dollars at Mike Mayock, who is better then both of them?

Good draft. Got our LT and RT of the future and our potential new Center. Not to mention an eventually replacement of Sellers.

The only questionable pick was the receiver, but he may come in as a return man or maybe even replace Randle El as our slot guy. Either way I thought this was a great draft, I hope we can get Snead and Blount in the UDFA period.

I honestly can't stand Mike Mayock. To me draft analysts know just a little bit more than we do. It is really just guessing and seeing where you think a guy pans out and what not. Just watching a lot of film and critique players.

I'm watching the Jets post day-3 presser, and apparently Rex is expecting Vernon Gholston to play end with Shaun Ellis. Madden NFL 10 likes him at D-End, so maybe we will get lucky.

Oh, and it seems like the Jets are the only team to NOT draft a Tight End, everyone and their mother are doing it.

Johnson would be a damn good pick up, I feel bad for his accident but he's gonna be a monstrous pick up. Blount needs to work on his anger issues, but he'll be a steal too.

But the motha fuckin' Jets traded for the Terminator?! Fuckin' badass, man.

I have had very limited Mayock experience, thanks to not having the NFL network. I just figured is isn't hard to be better then Mel Kiper (whose fake twitter page is rather funny). I do think they know some, but when they act like they know more about football then the former players/coaches, they piss me off.

Whoever the Vikes just picked got a decent pop from the 10 people at the draft :lmao:

Ryan D'Imperio is a Rutgers guy, Rutgers is the local D1A school for NYC, The Draft is in NYC, . Therefore, Draft atendees like Rutgers.

Mayock knows WAY more then anyone here. He literally spends the entire year watching tape, tape, and more tape. He can probably tell you information on EVERY draft prospect and the dude always seems to pick some random guy who will just shoot up the board. This year it was Earl Thomas.

Mayock is the one guy I always make sure to listen too.

Maybe he was the guy they were chanting for earlier. I remember Wash was up and they were chanting some dudes name and they didn't take him and got booed lol.

I heard that Mayock just has people hand him his material and he does very little work. Never really looked into or bought into, it was just an interesting point. I pay little attention to any of the guys. I find Kiper and McShay entertaining and I usually turn off the TV because I can't stand the NFLN guys (or ESPN's for that matter). I do enjoy Mayock when he does the Vikes preseason games though.

So we're almost to Mr. Irrelevant. What position do you all (Theo) expect the player to play? I would ask names, but that's a little hard.

I am gonna guess it will be a Tight End.

TE would be an excellent guess. Last year I had Succop slotted in at Mr. I because the Chiefs had a need for a K. This year will be tough. The Lions have the luxury of Mr. I, so it could go anywhere. I'm going with a LB.

I went TE because there have been 362879433422348743 Tight Ends taken so far, so why not one more. How about Legarrett Blount? That would be funny as hell.
