You better watch out with this criticizing Cena thing. You're libel to get a bunch of people to tell you that you're just longing for the attitude era and to get over it. Seriously though, I totally agree. I don't know how they didn't put Nexus over in the end there. They could beat up the entire roster tomorrow night and I still don't care...their story is over. Cena's been saying all along that Nexus is just a couple of thugs whom without each other would be nothing...well he was right apparently. What's next for Nexus? Hopefully we get a SummerSlam 7 on 7 rematch and this time something actually happens.

wrestling is getting so predictable now it really sucks. nexus could of been the next nwo seriously. they completely ruined it tonight on the pay per view. you knew cena wasnt gonna turn heel because he came out with a new tshirt and hat with different colors making it obvious hes gonna still be the superhero. the only time i thought maybe just maybe cena is gonna turn on his team was when it took him so long to get into the match and when edge knocked him off the ring and he was on the ground. i was praying just praying that he was gonna turn...but of course theres NEVER any surprises in the wwe anymore. also thought triple h was gonna come out and declare himself as the head of nexus or something but of course not. the whole storyline is shot now and its back to the same boring monday night raws. it was actually interesting for a little while when nexus was taking over everything it actually made me wanna watch the show every monday. big deal daniel bryan came back wow another guy thats 150lbs thats like evan bourne thats just gonna be jobbed anyways. just my 2 thoughts. i come on this site and read articles and posts all the time but i just felt like i had to register and reply to this post. nexus had it all...all the guys were young, built, in shape made it interesting. just imagine cena turning heel and being their leader just imagine how interesting it would be if they just kept getting member after member and really did take over raw like nwo did in wcw back in the day. that was wrestling...i was actually impressed with bret hart though, definitely looked a lot better then he did back at wrestlemania

are you kidding me! for fucking months eveyone has said they want Daniel Bryan back. Then he comes back and your unhappy? just because cena never turned heel your saying its same old WWE. CENA AS HEEL WOULD RUIN IT BECAUSE HE QOULD STEAL THE NEXUS AND THEIR LIMELIGHT!!! By attacking Cena they get booed by kids while also impressing adults with aggresiveness. Nexus needed to lose at some point to progress the story or it would seem like a losing battle and everyone would give up. The only problem i had with the show was Nexus attacking Dolf and Kofi because it was a good match. STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT WHAT WAS NEVER GUNNA HAPPEN (Cena turn) AND WHAT YOU ALL WANTED TO HAPPEN (Bryan's return)
and start enjoying wrestling for what it is....oh and if you park of the IWC and want suprises stop reading the reports because you asking for suprises when your ruining them for yourself.

The Nexus isn't over yet, relax. Wade Barrett has yet to reveal what the "bigger picture" is that he was talking about so much. Count on something to happen that will pick up the Nexus' momentum once more.

Whats next? Revenge? Essentially Cena and Danielson embarrassed Nexus and Nexus will now seek revenge on Cena (Maybe even Danielson if his feud with Miz doesn't got anywhere). The other members of Nexus (Not named Wade Barret) can move onto feuds with other members of Raw. Don't forget the bigger picture thats yet to be revealed. Theres plenty of options for Nexus.

For people hating Summerslam. Nexus did not get buried. They pinned 2 former world champions. Two solid mid carders. Remember last year when Cena beat Miz over and over cleanly and everyone was saying Miz was getting buried. Well look where he is now? Just being apart of the main event of the second biggest event of the year and barely losing means your on the rise, not falling drastically.

I think it kinda made sense...I mean with a returning Daniel Bryan, why would he come back and be on the losing side..wouldn't make sense..I expect this to continue and why not!! Nexus thought Bryan was gone for good and now they will be wanting revenge on him!!

I expect them to win the next ppv and then it can continue!!

Man look - I am glad that NEXUS LOST!

FINALLY!, Nexus has gone BACK, to the locker room!:lmao:

Now, I agree with the previous poster's - one of the things that I did NOT like about this paperview NEXUS deal was the INTERUPTIONS from Nexus.

Paperviews are meant for the Classic true matches! NOT some crummy Interferrence from some JOE BLOW! That was Garbage on the Creative Team's part in my opinion! Kofi and Zigger are shining and Kofi & Zigger do NOT need some dark joe blo Nexus crap interferring with that - plain and simple, UNLESS not Kofi and Zigger get involved in Nexus' business and ruin their lives for many week's onwards.

One of the things I love about the Paperviews is that MOST of the time, I do not have to look at Interferring blow pop's getting in the way of a good match.

Nexus needed to lose and the fact that Daniel O'Bryan is back only makes it better! - I just hope THE MIZ still wins the WWE Title!

I'm not really sure what to think..

For the record, let it be known I am actually a Cena fan.. I love the promo's and i love watching him in the ring. And i actually like his character. The ultimate good guy. just like Hogan was..

That said.. I don't think Cena should of won last night. But I don't blame Cena or hate Cena for it like some do, i blame the writing. Cena is nothing more than an employee/actor doing what he is told to do by the higher powers. I think some actually forget that.

Anyways Just because i don't think Cena should of won, at least cleanly, I don't think this ruins Nexus. All they have to do is seriously beat down someone tonight and it will be back. Attack the raw announcers, attack wrestlers in almost every match.. Do something disturbing like the NWO would do after they had a rough night at a PPV.. Still plenty of room to work here. Lets see what happens.

i think they need to get their momentum back with something. EVEN though i didnt mind how things went last night, i still think it took the wind out of their sails a bit. And they can't just rechallange as last time they had intergroup fighting, and the miz interference. THEY wont have that next time. THEY need something big. OR they could just end it.

My first post so be very honest in what you think about the post, don't hold anything back in your comments, but also give me some smart tips for me to improve my post in the future:

Wow...you know i really hate how they are booking super cena and this whole nexus angle, it makes no sense...What i think should've happen was that Wade barret should've completely destroyed cena after the ddt on the concrete, drag him to the ring, do two or three wade barret finishers, and then have gabriel to the 450 splash on cena for the win. And then after that, have nexus come out again and complely finish off cena, destroy the ring, knock out any superstar that gets i their way, and leave it like that.

The next night, WWE will report that Cena will be out for a few months (before survivor series time, i'll tell you why in a min) Meinwhile, nexus continues their dominance wreaking havoc all over raw while daniel bryan and a few others try to stop the nexus as the weeks go. Then, surprisingly, on the first episode of smackdown on syfi, Nexus wreak havoc there, beating up rey mysterio, kofi kingstson, hardy and others. By that time, some of the 2nd NXT guys may join Nexus as well, all seem lost until we get a message from cena from the titantron saying that he is coming back and this time he will end the nexus once and for all...even if it kills him. Cena will come back on raw (wearing a new red and black cenanation shirt) and just viciously attacking the nexus, jumping them from behind, hitting them in the back with steel chairs...just still face cena with a much meaner streak.

anyway...the final battle between Nexus and WWE takes place in survivor series in a War Games match. the first team to win gains complete control of the WWE (at around that time, stephanie machmon will reveal that she was the secret GM, along with Triple H, and Vince and Bret would set an alliance together having to form this special team of WWE superstars against the Nexus.

for Team WWE: Cena, Bryan, Rey Mysterio, Kingston, Big Show, Orton Y2J (as Face) and Jo Mo

for Team WWE: the same original members, but add HHH as the 8th guy.

fight comes down to Cena vs. HHH, but have a great match with near falls, and cena finally taps HHH out and wins, big celebration, kids happy, adults happy, vince happy

I think Nexus is not done and them attacking Kofi and Dolph is a foreshadowing of them going to Smackdown soon. Whether they go when Smackdown goes to syfi or in a few months it'll be part of the bigger picture.

Nexus going to smackdown would be a smart move if it coincides with the move to syfi, it would help boost ratings for sure.

Despite the fact that they lost at summerslam, Nexus were booked to look very strong in their match up and we got to see a returning Daniel Bryan being booked well in this match up.

The way in which Nexus can recover from their summerslam defeat is firstly by completly destroying raw tommorow night. Have theme smash up the titantron, hospitalise several members of the raw roster, heck even plant a decoy fan in the audience and have them beat down too. I also think darren young needs to either change his look or leave nexus all togethter, his hair makes him look like a goofball and he does not convince me that he is as badass as the other nexus members. All of the members need to develop recognisable personnas or gimmicks as other than Wade Barrett, they still appear to be abit too bland. The reason the NWO worked is because you had a mixture of characters such as savage, hogan, hall, nash, bischoff etc who all managed to stand out from the crowd whilst wearing the same colours. Skip Sheffield to me is really intriguing and i think with abit more character tweaking he could certainly be main event potential in the future. Heath Slater needs a gimmick tweak as his mannerisms and voice still scream Owen Wilson (at least to me anyway :icon_neutral:), his work and look back in fcw was much more interesting to me and had that slight early hardy boyz/brood feel to it. Michael Tarver is fine as he is (although his ring work could improve) and i love Justin Gabriel as the cold calculating high flyer, that face he pulls everytime before the 450 splash is menacing.

I think if there is a mastermind to this it should be revealed at the next PPV with the right build up to do this possible twist justice

First timer here.

I have read all the previous comments about Nexus on this thread and heres what many of you do not realize. Nexus should have won last night at Summerslam. The Nexus angle (if they had won) could have carried over to next year's Wrestlemania. But since they lost, the WWE has to make them viable all over again. One thing they can do is at some point between now and Wrestlemania have Wade Barrett win the world title or have Bryan Danielson turn heel and rejoin Nexus.

Guys. It's not over for Nexus. Think about it. Even though after all the beat downs they gave and all the hype going into summerslam. You gotta realize that there still learning and were rookies not too long ago. IMO this loss gives Nexus more motivation to come out and get stronger and better. In the next few weeks I see Nexus being more brutal than ever and still targeting cena. Btw do you guys think maybe cena was suppose to go heel at SS but creative writers changed it at the last minute? I feel there was a last minute decision to make cena stay face and become that ****** supercena. fuck i hate cena.

I also think darren young needs to either change his look or leave nexus all togethter

Wow... good call dude!

But back on point... I can't agree with this-
I have read all the previous comments about Nexus on this thread and heres what many of you do not realize. Nexus should have won last night at Summerslam.

I think Raw tonight definitely proved that Nexus is NOT "over" just because they lost at SS. I still can see this carrying through for quite awhile longer. Win or lose at SS, I don't see how the current Nexus storyline could have carried all the way to WM. I think that before WM Barrett will have already had a world title match, and a Nexus tag team will have held the tag titles. But the exact same sequence of Nexus beatdowns could not have been carried all the way to Mania.

Poor Darren Young. It's bullshit that even though he pretty much dominated Cena he's getting kicked out, and guys like Tarver and Gabriel got the shit beat out of them and got a win because of some crap like an interference. Nexus looked weak as fuck tonight, aside from when they attacked Darren Young, and even then something seemed lacking. I think Nexus is done within two months at the most. I see Gabriel being gone next, seeing as he seemed hesitant to hit the 450 on Darren Young. Then I see Otunga/Tarver being gone. They both looked very weak tonight, and that'll kill them. Slater will be gone after them, probably being jumped out by the remaining two. Then that leaves just Barrett and Sheffield, who will either just split because there's only two of them left, or get jumped by all the formers. I see a Nexus fall on the horizon, and it's a shame, because had they won last night, I think they'd be around for a while longer, maybe even a year.

Good bye Young! I always felt Young was the weakest link in The Nexus, and it's nice to see them finally "trimming the fat".

Today was a step forward for Nexus after last night's loss. I knew that Nexus wasn't going to end, but I didn't know if they would come back stronger or slowly be beaten down until the group dispersed. Thankfully, the former happened. The Nexus story has tons of life in it, and it's only going to get better from here. I predict Barrett may get a shot at the championship fairly soon, possibly even at NoC, and we may see another WWE vs. Nexus match at Survivor Series. I can't wait to see how things go in the coming weeks.

Bring it on.

Doesn't Gabriel look hesitant to hit EVERY 450 ?
Yes but that one he looked especially hesitant. He had this look on his face like he really didn't want to do it, and kinda just stood there for a few seconds before actually doing it. I have a feeling he'll be gone within a few weeks. He might do the whole "I'm sick of being the bad guy, what we did to Darren Young was messed up, I don't want to do this anymore" routine. Or he might piss off Barrett. Either way, once Nexus is all said and done, which I expect to be very, very soon, I think Gabriel will blossom into a solid upper midcarder, which is much better than I can say for guys like Young and Tarver.

I think Nexus is stronger after the past two nights. First of all, they looked very good against Team Raw last night at Summerslam. They took out a lot of talented guys, including a Hall of Famer, and just came up short of winning. Tonight they go 6-1 against those same guys, with the exception of Orton subbing for Hart. Sure, the wins weren't clean, but in all honesty, most of the Nexus guys aren't at a level to beat guys like Edge or Orton cleanly 1-on-1. They used smart heel tactics to gain victories over some of the biggest stars on Raw.

As for Young, he was the weak link for Nexus. He isn't anything special in the ring and even less on the mic. The 6 members of Nexus that are left will go on to continue the excellent run they've had on Raw, this time with the added rubs they have gotten over the past 2 days.

I thought that Nexus was booked perfectly tonight. They have looked strong two nights in a row and I also liked how they had Gabriel, Tarver, and Slater picked up their wins, Otunga and Sheffield dominated Morrison and Truth for the most part Barrett looked strong against Jericho and they also got also got stronger by getting rid of the weakest link in the group Darren Young. I think the WWE did a good job of making Nexus look strong tonight

about Gabriel being hesitant... I know he was a FACE in the NXT Season 1.. I still feel he'll ultimately be a face.. I just think he makes a horrible bad guy *shrug* just me maybe?

I still think this ultimately leads to a Wade/Cena feud... i don't see NEXUS lasting as long as the NWO did.. NWO got stupid because of stupid writing.. Wolf pack and the Black and White? give me a break haha... We'll see how it goes.. but a Cena Heel turn would be blah right now if you ask me.. he seems to be the thorn in NEXUS side so to speak!!

I can't wait for next week already

If you pay attention to all the times he has done the 450 splash he hesitates before pulling it off only to be left without remorse afterward, the guy does scream face due to his high impact hardyesque style but he has proven that he can without a doubt be a believable heel. Tonight I believe was the first time that I'd ever had the chance to hear him talk and personally I didn't think that he sounded all that bad trying to be a heel, he was a hell of a lot better than Slater and Young.

It may not last as long as the NWO did but it would be hard to do that in this day and age because hardly anything lasts for years anymore. It may ultimately end up being about Wade and Cena but along the way Sheffield, Gabriel, Tarver, and Otunga (if he ups his game and works on his in ring ability) will definitely get a great rub and be cemented in the midcard/uppermidcard as soon as Nexus ends. Slater on the other hand will have a harder time getting over even from this great angle because with all honesty he simply has not worked as a heel even though he finally seems to be getting the hang of things with his heelish attack on Edge tonight and attempt to bargain his way into a win. Nexus has the ability to make it to at least Survivor Series with the momentum they have now even with the loss they obtained last night.

I think some in IWC are making to mush of this angle by trying to fit there personal believes of what should happen to this story line. People here want to cena turn and I think it would be the coolest but it really doesn't make since to anybody but us. Cena has a brand new movie coming out he is the face of the company and vince makes millions off of him why would vince change that. I wan't him to but he won't vince doesn't tamper with cash cows period. As far as the rest of Nexus I think it is also silly to assume that this Nexus thing was about making stars out of all these guys. I don't believe vince thinks there is this incredible need for new main event guys. I believe he wants to begin to replinish the mid card with young talent that is the whole point of NXT to find the ocassional star (Barett) and re stock the shelves. Most of the NXT and Nexus guys are years away from being relevant at a main event level on there own. So I think the logical conclusion is that every couple weeks until Survivor series someone will get weeded out of Nexus untill at survivor series you are left with Nexus 1 (Barett, Shefield. Otunga, Tarver) vs Nexus 2 (Daniel, Young, Gabriel, Slater) at survivor series and the sole survivor is Barett and they go there seperate ways from there.

We obviously know that Wade Barrett is the main man in Nexus.

But after RAW last night, the question is, who out of Nexus impressed you the most.

Not that we can just simply go on one performance, but as an overall analysis, I would say that Skip Sheffield seems the most over as the monster. He looks the part, and has those bloody scary eyes.

I also think that Justin Gabriel is a very good high flyer, and will do well around the likes of Evan Bourne.

Who do you think is the most over member of Nexus bar Wade Barrett?

I would say the most over member is Justin Gabriel. I mean look at him. He has a great look, Is very athletic and with a bit of work could be good on the mic. He obviously plays a better face character but out of the group aside from Wade he would be the most over.

I think it's got to be Sheffield. He is the BIG GUY of the team, and he backs it up with that monstrous clothesline and spear. He is Goldberg and Batista rolled into one, and I think he stands out the most to the crowd.
Gabriel is great in the ring, and obviously he is defined by his 450 splash, but how far will that take him? I haven't heard a decent promo from him yet, and I think even the kids in the crowd can pick up on that.

The other guys haven't made as big an impact yet, so they were easy to dismiss.
