Simple answer. No. WWE has to stop selling Hardy merchandise which is going to cost them a truckload of money. Also I don't think the majority of wrestling fans know about Hardy's legal problems. There's a week and a half for all these little girls to tell each other that Jeff Hardy will be on TNA next week. Every viewer counts and Hardy will certainly bring a few more.
Now TNA can sell Hardy merchandise even if he goes to jail. More money which the company needs. Along with Hogan they're about to triple their merchandise sales. TNA isn't in the spotlight enough to get heat over signing a possible felon. If it does draw heat and get on CNN or something then that gets TNA's name mentioned. Also if WWE tries to use it as ammo then WWE will be promoting TNA which they won't do. There isn't any losing with this situation.
