Jeff Hardy is NOTHING in TNA

How is it up to Jeff Hardy to attract new talent? That is a job for Hogan, Bischoff, Russo and Dixie Carter (okay, just her money). I think people are doing far too much digging back into Jeff's past on this one. Yeah, his first stint in TNA wasn't as successful as his last stint in WWE, but who cares? Last summer, he was probably, along with the Undertaker, WWE's most over face. I know a lot of you will say that Cena is their top face, but I am not talking about selling merchandise. I am talking about credibility with the fans who are looking for a good show to watch. Jeff has a terrible reputation outside of the ring, but inside, he is dynamite. TNA can easily capitalize on Hardy's current popularity, which is much higher than the first time he left WWE for TNA. I think this is a great aquisition for TNA, the guy is a former WWE Champion. But I also think there could be a downside. If his legal troubles keep him sidelined too long (possible jail sentence), people may lose interest. But don't forget, wrestling fans are suckers for big comebacks. If Jeff Hardy can return from his legal troubles in a somewhat timely fashion, say no more than six months to a year, he can easily be one of the tops guys over there. He and AJ Styles can have some epic matches. He will also have the oppurtunity to work with guys like Kennedy (Anderson, whatever), Angle, The Pope, Wolfe, Daniels, etc. I think this is the first big steal of the new wrestling wars, let's hope it works out (competition always makes both promotions better).

I am a huge Jeff Hardy fan as you can see and have been watching him since he debuted with WWE in the 90's. I think in TNA he will be no more than a has been who has left the WWE and will prob not have much for him in TNA. But in the WWE he can headline Wrestlemania by appearing in MITB or in a match with CM Punk at Wrestlemania. Hell he can even go back to the tag team division with Matt and have 1 last good run with his bro. TNA is very weak rite now and i dont see jeff or anyone making it stronger until the quality and story lines improve.

Wait, what? Are you saying he's mega-over in the WWE but TNA managment will be too stupid to capitalize on his popularity?

I think you're seriously underestimating the kind of new heights he can go to when he's allowed to use something other than his Five Moves of Doom (yeah, I went there - weird-ass clothesline/forearm, inverted atomic drop, Whisper in the Wind, Twist of Fate and Swanton, that's all he ever does!) to get over.

Should he go to the X-division? Well, "everyone needs to prove themselves" as it were, so starting there might be as good a place to start as any. Should he be involved in the heavyweight title picture? Not until his legal troubles are over.

I think the reason Hardy came back to TNA was to keep in ring shape and keep his name out there. I think that he'll end up with WWE once again whenever his legal trouble is over. But as for what will happen in TNA who knows. So far he hasn't even shown up on TV since he came back on the 4th. And who knows when or if he will even show up for TNA.

I don't see what the negative is with Jeff Hardy.

1. Last I read, he was going to be charged with simple possession, which would be a fine and nothing more. So, the risk factor is minimal right now. TNA is lax on drugs, so there isn't much risk of a suspension for smoking some weed.

2. He sells like no other. TNA has all the excitement in the world on offense, but the ring psychology sometimes lacks. Jeff Hardy will sell an injury throughout an entire match, and on to the next show if need be. He will add a bit to the story in the ring of whatever match he is in. TNA has the best wrestling? I think Jeff makes it better.

3. He delivers a new audience to TNA. Kids love Jeff Hardy. Adding more viewers, and younger fans is never a bad thing for any TV show, much less a wrestling show, where the audience is begged to pretend.

4. He has instant credibility in any division in the company. If you put him in the X division, he is instantly the star. If you put him the tag division, he is a former of member of one of the top 10 tag teams of all time. If you put him in the main event, he is a three time world champion. No matter where you need a top face, anywhere on the card, he is your man.

Number four is what makes Chris Jericho so valuable to the WWE. He works anywhere, and makes anything he is involved in credible. He elevates his opponent, and then makes him look good. Please, someone tell me when Jeff Hardy has just squashed guys and not thrown them a bone? Never.

I'm not sure where people have gotten the idea that Hardy's legal woes are behind him, as his trial date is set for March 17 in Moore County, NC. And another charge has been added, a felony charge for conspiracy to traffic in opium, related to Vicodin.
The Wrestling Observer (so take this for what it's worth) is reporting that the WWE was/is still interested & trying to get Jeff back even after his TNA debut & indictment. "There are conflicting reports coming in on Jeff Hardy's status with TNA. Sources in the company are saying that Hardy has signed a contract with the company while friends of Hardy have said that he told them he has absolutely not signed a deal. The fact Hardy hasn't appeared with TNA since January 4th would indicate that he hasn't signed or committed to any dates. Jeff was said to be upset at the recent segments on WWE's SmackDown! where CM Punk used his name in promos to get himself over when Hardy is not even in WWE anymore to 'defend' himself. One person close to Hardy said that one of the reasons he decided to appear on January 4th was just to prove a point to WWE. Word is that friends of Hardy are telling him that at the end of the day, Jeff in TNA is a bad move because he comes across as a much bigger star with WWE."

I'm just not sure what to think for now. Since Jeff hasn't been on TNA since that debut, I'm wondering if there is any commitment to TNA. I would think TNA would want to use him as much as possible before his trial (& possibly losing him.) I can see the WWE wanting him as a cashcow, but it does surprise me that on personal level Vince would be willing to forget/forgive. That just doesn't seem his style. Guess it's just a waiting game for now in any case. ( I'll admittedly always be a Jeff Hardy mark.)

Jeff Hardy could be the big name guy TNA needs for the X Division. If he has great match with Red,The guns and other stars of X Division it could help The Division Regain its once main event staues and then if Jeff stays out of trouble long enough he could be in the main event scene I Just cant wait to see him on TNA T.V!
