jeff started off with in wwe the same way christian did.then after a while he left for tna did his thing there for a while came back to wwe earned vinces trust back became a wwe and whc champion.he was at the peak of his career when he said he wanted to take time off to do other things(drugs)so fast forward a little bit and hardy returns to tna on january 4th fast forward a little bit more and he is starting to gain weight, facing jail time, and looks like he just doesnt care anymore. so my question is was jeff hardy better off in wwe. Also if he did return to wwe would he ever main event again.

He was better off in the WWE, clearly. The WWE may have been a bit more restrictive as to what he could and couldn't do in his free time, but in Jeff's case, with the demons Hardy has, that would actually be a positive. He was also around his brother a lot more, which also would have served to hold back his inclinations towards drug use some. The touring schedule alone gave him less free time in which he could fuck up his life more.

Now, as to the other part of your question, if he did return to the WWE, no he wouldn't ever main event again. He has used all of his chances up. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, and all that. I don't think Vince McMahon could ever trust Jeff Hardy with that kind of responsibility again. He has proven too many times he isn't capable. Basically, Jeff Hardy is a fuck-up, and now Vince knows it for sure.

Jeff Hardy was definitely better off in the WWE than he has been in TNA. In the WWE, Jeff Hardy was arguably the most over face in the company. His popularity rivaled that of John Cena. Hell, he often sold as much merchendise as John Cena. By the time Hardy left the WWE, he'd been a certified main eventer and credible world title contender. His title reigns were nothing to speak of, quite frankly, but Hardy was a legitimate and credible main event star in the company.

While he's been in TNA, Jeff Hardy has been little more than just one of the boys. To be fair, I think there's a strong chance that Jeff Hardy may have been pushed differently and may even be TNA World Heavyweight Champion by now had it not been for his legal troubles. But, that's just pure speculation on my part and what matters is the here and now. Hardy hasn't really done anything memorable in TNA as of yet, nor has he been in any particularly memorable matches or feuds. As I said, Hardy is just one of the boys in TNA and will probably will go no higher unless he's acquitted of all the felony charges against him.

As to whether or not he'd be in the main event again if he did return to the WWE, I doubt it. The WWE has given Jeff Hardy a number of opportunities and Hardy left the WWE right in the middle of the single biggest and greatest push of his career. Jeff Hardy left the WWE during a time when his popularity was at an all time high. Like Davi323 said, Jeff Hardy is a fuck up. The man's a damn fine wrestler, but he's also a world class fuck up.

Even while TNA was probably drooling at the prospect of signing Jeff this past January, you have to wonder what they're thinking of him now. As was previously stated, he looks bloated, tired and disinterested.

You could argue that TNA feels Jeff will be acquitted of the drug charges since people with the money to afford top-notch legal representation are often able to get away their misdeeds. Still, does the company realize that his acquittal might result in further drug use, invoking the possibility that the company could lose him to that? At least in WWE, he had to stay clean or be terminated. In TNA, he can do what he wants......and it's become obvious what he wants, hasn't it?

If he's acquitted, I think TNA plans to push him to the top. But will he be in any condition to receive the push?

Maybe he had to work more dates in WWE than he wanted, but he was still better off staying there. Too much idle time doesn't seem to agree with him.

Jeff Hardy was definitely better off with WWE. If you've seen the rumored deal that Jeff was offered before he left WWE. He was offered a better deal than Shawn Michaels. The one superstar that Vince is absolutely high on to no end.

Jeff Hardy had a great career in WWE. He has yet to accomplish anything title wise with TNA. So to assume that Jeff Hardy is better off in TNA just because gets to do more insane bumps and be more free in his move set and speech doesn't is insane.

Jeff was given a great career in WWE. If he hadn't had the career he had in WWE. He wouldn't even be with TNA. Much less in the main event. TNA realized that the career Jeff had in WWE obviously is what could benefit TNA. Therefore it's safe to assume that Jeff was better and is better off in WWE.

Well Jeff Hardy works well in confinments and WWE had those, he stayed clean (for the most part) was popular, had good merch sales and was in the main event. WWE also knew how to book him and it worked.

In his first stint in TNA he didn't do much except for challenge AJ for the X-Division title in his first match, have a couple of NWA title shots and do some crazy spots, in his current TNA run he's floating all over the card, main-event, tagging etc. Now while you can blame this on his legal troubles if they wanted to they could keep him in the main-event/ upper midcard to keep him relevant but they don't. This shows that TNA don't know how to book him at all.

So I'm going with WWE on this one, maybe TNA can actually make use of him at some point though.

Much better in WWE...his last run he had it all..everything was being thrown at him...and then he said he was going to take time off and in an interview he told us that he will be returning to WWE later in the year...but then he got the drugs again and next thing ya no, he appears in TNA...

Had he stayed in WWE, it would have marked nearly a year now, I wonder what he could have done...maybe win the Rumble?? What would he have done at WrestleMania?? how many title runs would he have had...

Because of him, we will never get these questions answered..
