Did they not build up Curtis on Smackdown with a bunch of promos, hinted towards a debut & pulled back- then he finally debuted & was utter shit?

So they take him off television, give him a terrible character & repeat the multiple promos & delayed debuts?

He had one match against Mark Henry thats it. no clue why they called him up but its not like he showed he wasn't ready or anything.

I'm enjoying his gimmick so far. His video promos were really fun, and I like the way he speaks.
And it's not like delaying a debut is a rare thing, after all. It's just a cheap way to get some initial heat for a heel.

I'll be happy to see him in the ring when he finally does debut.

How about waiting to see him wrestle at least once? In 1995 I judged someone based on his promos before his debut. Thought he would be an absolute nothing. Turns out Goldust did ok for himself. I'll give Fandango a little bit of time before I write him off. After all if a wrestling Elvis impersonator can become the longest reiging IC champ ever and generate as much heat as anyone during the late 80s, anything is possible.
