Xbox 360: Madden 2010: Franchise Sign-Up

Breaking News: Rumours out of Dallas, TX has Marion Barber on the trading block. With the emergence of Tashard Choice, Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips believe he can be a successful RB behind starter Felix Jones. This move may make Barber expendable. Barber had a great season last year and is a very talented running back, but Dallas having 3 quality RBs on the roster makes one of them a trading chip and it looks like Barber is the odd man out. No word on what the Cowboys may want in return.

When asked about the rumours, Jones stated, "We do not discuss rumours involving our players and as of right now we are happy with Barber and he will continue playing for the Cowboys."

Phillips was quoted saying, "Choice and Jones have played great in Barber's absence since he has been injured, but Barber brings a physical dimension to our running game that is very valuable."

This may sound like a stupid question, but did we have to sign our rookies after the draft or were they already signed? I ask because I can't see any of my draft picks on my roster.

It's also possible that they don't show up on the website because that's where I'm looking.

They should all be there. Sort by age, and all the people from the draft should be at the bottom. By bottom, I mean old as shit, because the website always says the rookies are like 45 or some ridiculously old age.

I have been trying to start my game but my copy of Madden (with minimal small scratches) always freezes. I have no idea why. I doubt that I will be able to get my game in.

Couple suggestions.

1. Look at the inside portion of the disc, on the side that gets read. If there is a crack thats seemingly growing from the outside ring, to the inside - the disc is fucked. I had to get a completely new copy. And my new copy is also having the same thing happen. If I have to buy a 3rd, I'm going to be majorly pissed off. Its the "safe lock" on the Madden case that holds the disc in place, thats causing the crack to happen.

2. I know this will sound "old school" and maybe even stupid and odd, but blow in your system. Also, completely wipe down your disc and then try it again. If it still freezes, you may need to find a local video rental store that has a disc cleaning machine. (the type that buffs the entire top layer of 'said' disc)

3. I have no clue if you even CAN do this, or if you have the space to if you could.. however, maybe you should try uploading/downloading the game to your hard drive. Then, in theory, the game wouldn't freeze because it'd be played straight from your console.

Also - do you think if you couldn't get the game done by tonight, that you COULD get it done by tomorrow? If so, I'm willing to extend the deadline (mainly because I truly want LuvSongWrita to play his game - I don't want to lose him from the league.)

My Xbox 360 was on the fritz earlier and it finally gave out and will not read any games anymore. Seeing as I have a lot of personal stuff going on, I will not be able to make my two Draft choices and was not able to play against either Will or Ty (both of which I wanted to play greatly) and hope that someday I will be able to rejoin the League. Well this blows. Scotty, if you ever get your system working or you decide to get a new one. You are more than welcome to rejoin us in this league. I would like to believe we'll be carrying on with it until the Madden 2011 comes out - and then possibly switching over to that, upon its release. So by all means, when you can return - you certainly are welcome to.

On another related note to releases.. since Scotty can't play his game and today was the original deadline, I've decided to advance the week.. which means, LuvSongWrita is also being booted from the league.

LuvSong/Scotty: I have "booted" both of you from the league, however please know you're both more than welcome to return any time you can. I hope both of you will return someday, as well.

FRANCHISE NEWS: With two AFC players now being gone, we suddenly have 8 total players in our League. (5 in the NFC, 3 in the AFC) With this said, is there anyone in the NFC who would like to switch to any of the following teams..

Broncos, Raiders, Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, Browns, Bengals, Titans, Texans?

All of the teams have been likely modified from their original roster at the beginning of the original Season. However, each team still has several, if not ALL of their key players. Teams like the Titans, Texans, and Steelers still seem like teams that can truly be dangerous as well.

I know speaking from a personal standpoint I'll stay with Carolina, because thats my team. However, I also know Baller was interested in an AFC team and Simpsons_fanatic was considering something alternative to facing Brian twice a season.

ANYONE who would like to switch teams is welcome to do so. Simply back out of the league, yourself, and you should automatically be allowed to re-join of your own free will.

Any time pretty much at night. I'm off work tonight (Wednesday) and can likely play around 9-11pm. (between those times, depending on what can work for you as well)

I open Friday morning though, so I won't be able to play beyond 10pm Thursday night.

Is it too hard for you to simply back out and rejoin, yourself? You do realize, if you click "leave league" then you search and rejoin, you can do so withOUT an invite.. right?
