A very interesting draft. I think Thriller has the best team at the outset, but lots of great rosters on there.

And a few selections that left me scratching my head somewhat.

Throwing in my outside input here but I looked through the posted teams an I had yours at Number 1 Habs. But looks like very good variety and competitive league.

Ended up caught in an auto draft. PC kept freezing on me. Actually got Ovechkin and Thornton. Looking into my goalie situation though. Not familiar with these guys.

You have Bobrovsky, Anderson.... Anderson, & Ward, which is much much better than what you had last season IMO. Bobrovsky was red hot for me at the end of last season, Anderson should be very solid, Ward is... IDK, he fell far & nobody seemed to want him, if you're gonna replace any of them he's probably gonna be the one.

Good lookin out.

So here's what I was talking about at the end of the draft last night:

http://fantastichockey.blogspot.com/

Some of you may know I was a journalism major in college. I've been meaning to start blogging for a while now, but haven't been able to settle in on a topic until this struck me during the draft. I'll be aiming for 2-4 posts per week on this bad boy, and I hope that you guys will give it a look, and even comment or send me topics you want to see written about.

The first post, which should be up later today or tomorrow, will be about my thought process in regards to the #1 pick.

I'll just throw this out there quick.

Anyone interested in Jordan Staal? I don't need 3 Carolina players on my team and I just want to see if there's any interest on a low level trade.

Callahan had off-season surgery. He's practicing with the team right now in a full contact jersey, so you won't be far off before he's back.

I could have told you to avoid taking him early though because of the shoulder injury. He and Hagelin both had identical injuries and identical surgeries, in fact. Cally will miss the season opener tomorrow for sure, but could be back as soon as game two.

I should be getting another post up on the blog today.

I don't know who had Rinne, but during the Blues broadcast last night, they mentioned that much of his offseason was spent rehabbing rather than the usual offseason training and that could be why he looked so bad.
