WZHL Fantasy Hockey 2014/15 Thread

Hopefully everyone involved knows about the change in time, I think they likely do. I'll be here for sure, hopefully we can find two guys at the last minute as 10 would be way better than 8 in my opinion.

Yeah, I thought this would the be easiest season to get everything set up... it hasn't, it's been a pain in my ass. It's really frustrating when you got a guy who says he is/wants to comeback but then can't take 15 seconds to go into his e-mail & renew his team. At least Ty had the decency to let me know he wasn't coming back this year.

I had to harass one of my renewing users this past year for three weeks to accept the fuckin' invite. I sent, literally, twelve reminders to him. TWELVE.

How difficult is it to quickly click the link and click ACCEPT?

It's frustrating because renewing is literally the easiest part of the whole thing, it's literally two clicks, one to open the e-mail, & one on the link that renews your team.

I've approached a few guys to see if they might be interested in joining, but so far no luck.

The thing is, if we are having so much trouble getting those last two guys, it's probably just as well anyway. Because if these guys are having that much trouble to find the time to renew their invitation, they likely won't be able to find the time over the course of the season to actively participate. Better to not sign on at all, than sign up but never actually play.

I realize these guys are probably pretty busy doing whatever, so I guess we will just have to make due with just 8 guys. Which is really too bad because 10 would be way better.

We're at 8 right now though, right? Problem is, we'd need two confirmed new members in order to draft. Not just one. It has to be an even number.

Yeah it's too late now, I tried earlier this afternoon to find some interested guys, but no luck. I guess 8 will have to do.

I adjusted teh league size to 8 teams, it sucks but it appears no one else is interested enough to fill those final two spots.

Draft room is open now, draft begins in about 20 mins.!!

Totally missed out on the live draft. Fell asleep on the Eagles/Niners game. Fuck.

Only thing I am unhappy with is Elias because I was re-arranging some things and the timer ran out before I realized he was up there. Other than that I really wanted Seguin or Benn, but that did not work out as planned. I nabbed a few good players I wanted & some decent fillers to round it out, so I cant complain too much.

So having seen the rosters, who does everyone think had the best draft? Leaving yourself out of the discussion, who has the best team?

So far, I give the nod to IDR.

Thriller's roster is best, IMO. I'm quite happy about where mine is, but I'd give him the edge in net for sure. Forwards and D are quite comparable.

Thanks, guys. I'm cautiously optimistic about by goalie situation, but I really think that due to the smaller league size and question marks in the NHL, the best goalkeeping team will be about who plays the waiver wire the best.

Yep, Kings got the late game on NBC Sports and you know I'm watching the banner get raised.
