WWE SummerFest 2015 LD - "What do you mean I'm wrong?!"

They don't skip the first two gears and they don't look like complete shit like Undie does. Plus, the finishes aren't ever that atrocious.

Really? I don't think I've ever seen first or second gear in a big ROH main event. It's one of the things I dislike most about them. And yes I have a small selection to pick from.

This seemed like Mania 31 lite. Rather poor storyline build with slightly lesser rated matches at the PPV.
I dread the thought of Taker vs Lesnar part 3 at Mania 32... hopefully it happens at Survivor Series instead and Brock gets to face someone else at Mania instead.

I still hold hope for Taker vs Sting at Mania 32, regardless of how good of a match they can put on.

Didnt like the ending, thought it was kinda obvious because of all mentioning of Takers low-blow and from what I read that they might continue feud till Survivor Series.

But great PPV, liked matches and didnt mind Stewarts interference because makes sense that if Rollins wins that it would be by interference and not clean.

The only time they'll skip it is when the crowd isn't into it. The did that at a show I went to with Elgin/Ciampa as the title match at the peak of no one caring about Elgin. For the most part there's at least some chain wrestling and/or some basic stuff at the start before they start throwing bombs.

I'll admit that ROH can overdo the finisher parades, but I can much more easily believe that 20-something year old Adam Cole can take a beating and keep going than 50 year old Undie who can barely walk.

The finisher parades are more what get on my nerves. Cena is really bad about them too. That being said, I'll also take this over 18 straight forearms to the head with the guy getting hit not even staggering three times a match.

I thought it was a pretty good show overall. KO/Cesaro was the high point for me. Rollins and Cena was superb for the most part. I really can't complain too much other than I lost a bet. Now I must wear full Cena gear to the casino (jorts included).

Old ROH this was kinda true, current day ROH, especially for PPV main events, not so much. Cole vs. Elgin told a story, Briscoe vs. Cole DEFINITELY told a story and changed multiple gears, 13th Anniversary I'll give you, they just went for broke because there was little heat on the match, Briscoe vs. Lethal changed gears and told a story. I get what you're trying to say, you're just not saying it very well.

That's fair. Different strokes and whatnot. I just don't care about Undie and don't believe he should be kicking out of three F5s. Or still active, for that matter.

It's not like wrestling has ever asked for suspension of disbelief or anything. :banghead:

He can barely walk. By that logic, Hogan should still be dropping legs and winning world titles. You know, except for the racism.

No there is.
It's the reason the Kardashians are worshipped and someone like Donald Trump is leading a major political party's Presidential race.

Exactly my point. You see what people clamor after and then recreate it to make it your own. You harp on the Bella's having a brand based off being spoiled brats as if it's some kind of secret, it obvious marketing that's working.

But hey: Nikki can have designer bags right? So her life must rock.

Enough people believe that's true. Popular culture will have to change before it's reflection can.

To be fair I haven't seen a major ROH main event in a long time. Like since last year's Supercard of Honor and before then.....it's been awhile. Their TV has gotten WAY easier to sit through recently.

Well, I just read (not on this site....yet) that Sting is on his way back to NYC after the signing in Chicago. Best guess would be Taker vs Sting at Survivor Series. There has been talk of a major angle on the post SS Raw. Taker comes out to explain his actions, Sting comes out to condemn him for not being a hero....tada....Survivor Series match will get set up.....

WHAT BRAND???

They're on a lowly rated reality show and are on WWE, which isn't exactly highly rated either. That's not a brand. It's what I've been getting at: they don't have a brand. They have a reality show and a few magazine covers because WWE gets them spots. When are the Bellas ever presented as major stars away from WWE? They're stars in the company's eyes and nowhere else.

And that's why I'm looking into signing up to be a moose instead of a human.

I'd HIGHLY recommend Lethal vs. Briscoe. I get that it's hard to sell ROH on a lot of people, especially those who WWE-centric viewers, but that match has universally been praised for telling a really good story, being dramatic and not going too far with the false finishes. Briscoe vs. Cole is also another very good match from Final Battle last year.

I really don't need to see him ever again either. Once the Streak died, he was done. Why would I want to see him lose again after it's broken? I'm sure WWE has a hashtag ready to explain it to me if I'm lost though.

I'm not adverse to seeing Taker. I really enjoy seeing legends though, even if they can't "go" like they used to out of respect I support them and get a lot of enjoyment if they deliver good matches. I don't see Taker as someone who simply had the Streak, I see him as a legend.

That said, I see a video going around on Facebook and Reddit that is showing Taker collapsing before he walks through the curtain so, if it's taking such a major toll on his body I think it might be time to hang it up. It could be him selling though. Who knows.

So I'm I the only person who thought that finish was actually quite brilliant??

I just thought it was pretty forced. Tap out, referee counting, then bell out of nowhere with low-blow when referee didnt see it and then middle finger and pass out Lesnar. Kinda messy a lot.
