I am just saying it seems like one of those RAW's where Vince gets all pissy afterwards.

"We want Ryder" ring any bells that was the IWC because who else gave a fuck about him except anyone who owned a computer and goes on wrestling forums certainly not the marks. Vince must have cared enough to push him. Lulz right back at ya.

You are confusing heel heat with X-Pac heat. Sitting in the ring and doing nothing until people boo you isn't good booking. It is lazy and cheap.

Jericho IS a good heel, and I'm sure he will get back to being good, but it does not excuse this. Screw Raw next week, I'm watching the Kings take on the Capitals instead.

Actually, it is unique and innovative. Anyone can get on a mic and cut a promo, and blah blah blah, and that is exactly what we were expecting from Jericho tonight. Withholding that, and not giving the fans what they wanted, puts heat on him. He didn't do the babyface tradition. He did something interesting, and new, and entirely heelish.

I have no idea where this is going. While that sounds like a good thing, it's not with WWE (Nash texted Nash, anonymous GM, Nexus burying 'Taker).

And really, his return didn't fit in with the promos at all. It makes no sense. Why would some dark character who claims this is the end of the world come back and shout "YEEEEAAAAHHHH BAAABBBYYYYY"?

Comes out next week and says that was the last time they'd ever see "Y2J" again. Then run down the crowd with a "I can't help you anymore" vibe.

What it boils down to is dont just say you didnt like it. Thats a no go, unless you attach a 3 page paragraph. People dont like stuff you do, oh well life goes on.

Remember we're the 10%. Think about it from the point of view of someone who isn't a smark like us.

I am. I heard the crowd tonight. A handful were booing him, and they might not even have been booing him, but the lack of a promo.

You want to draw heat from the 90%? Have Jericho say something. At the end of those ten minute of shenanigans, have him pick up a microphone, drop one line on the mic. Sycophants. Parasites. Insects. Whatever. Throw all their adulation back at them. Instantly, Memphis drowns him in a sea of boos, and he gets the same reaction next week.

Instead, here in Bizarro World, where a group of grown adults sat around a table and decided that segment was a good idea, Jericho will enter Raw next week to a massive pop, just like he did tonight, and the only way he will ever draw any heat is if he says or does something. And I said it before - all tonight will be is a waste of everyone's time.

You know who the best heel of all time is? That one fan who ran in and tried to kill Eddie Guerrero in his ladder match with RVD. He made me angry and left me more concerned for safety than entertained, which is similar to what Jericho did tonight. He wasted 10 minutes of air-time and made me change the channel.

Because that's how wrestling works right chums? Good heels take you out of the action and lack entertainment value?

No, it was a shitty segment. The program that follows may be quite good, but that doesn't mean tonight didn't suck. (Conversely, Nexus and Punk's pipebomb started out with awesome segments, but quickly devolved into overbooked shitty programs)

I'm not saying it was some kind of epic segment, but it's just Raw. It's not like it's mania. The God of the IWC has returned. Most will watch next week to see what he does next. The point of every Raw is to get you to watch the next one with each having the collective monthly goal of getting you to buy the ppv. This week's Raw will get many to watch next week. Most of those who are disappointed tonight are equally curious enough to watch next week.

Pickle makes a good point, and Punk's character is a reason why the product is lackluster. I really don't want to see CM Punk do anything with John L. I just want him gone. If John L was a good heel and Punk was babyfacing to his full potential, wouldn't I WANT Punk to do something to John L? Alas, I just want him to go away.

A kid who remembers " I have a stick up my ass" Jericho will be like
I remember that guy being a jerk, he came back high fiving people and then just left.

I mention a kid because that is the majority of the 90%

Google Andy Kaufman. He did some similar work in Memphis.

The kid may be annoyed and frustrated now, but when Jericho comes back at some point and calls that kid and every member of that Memphis audience "Fucking Ass Clown Morons" for ever buying in to the videos and cheering Jericho upon his return Jericho is going to get about as legitimate amount of heat as anyone today.

He will get a hell of a lot more heat than Kane's fake wrestling attacks on Cena and Ryder.

Exactly, and on another note, let's not forget that we still have 3 months until Mania. That is 3 months to turn Jericho heel. So he didn't go full heel, or full face tonight, he was just confusing, and some people will cheer next week, but some will also boo. Good, it is a slow heel turn. So he didn't answer all the questions about the promos tonight. That will just mean that we will watch next week to see what happens next.

Because you're the guy bitching and moaning about an episode of Raw when you clearly weren't going to watch next week anyway. Why should the WWE book to your liking when you aren't going to follow up regardless? You come up with these excuses all the time for why you don't watch WWE programming anymore, but at the same time you steal TNA's PPVs, the company you're supposed to be backing. If you're not even helping support them, why should the WWE do anything to garner your interest? There's no upside.

Every time you pop up in one of these LDs, it's just to bitch about a negative segment. Hell, I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that you aren't sitting there watching every week.

Because I'm not. Any given week of programming should offer me enough to want me to come back the next week, just like TNA does.

RAW didn't/doesn't, so I gave up again.

For the record, though, Cody Rhodes is great. Shame he wrestles for such a silly show.

I think people who aren't digging Jericho's return have valid points. I personally liked it, but I understand why you think getting meta-heat is dumb.

Except for IDR and Shattered. It's almost tradition, them coming in here and bitching about Raw. They would bitch even if this episode were objectively the best piece of television in history.

Because you go into it expecting to hate it. You and shattered can deny it all you want, but any time either of you watch WWE, you go into it believing WWE is shit and will fuck everything up, just like I can watch TNA believing it is shit and they will fuck everything up.

See, I agree with you completely, the promos being dark will be understood better with time. I beleive he is going for the prophetic am better than you Jericho this time. him coming to that kind of character would not have work right out of the bat.

I just don't think the segment was as successful at putting this over as well as it was expeted
