doesn't know REAL wrestling...
-WWE title picture (Cena, Miz)
-R-Truth/John Morrison
-New Nexus/Big Show/Kane
-Kharma killed another Diva
-Mysterio/Kofi vs. Swagger/McIntyre (not sure what this built, but probably Rey vs. Alberto, and maybe Swagger vs. Kofi)
Feuds were set up, or continued, and (even though you didn't like him) The Rock talked for 30 minutes to open the show, with that 30 minutes feeling more like 10. Really enjoyed this show.
Not complaining about the builds they managed to squeeze in. Indeed, what there was wrestling and feud wise was good. I am actually excited to see what they do with Kharma in the long term and who will be the saviour of the Divas division; R-Truth is winning me over, while Miz/Cena was excellent
But the Rock talking essentially about nothing for 45 mins at the beginning and the end of the show did nothing for me. Cena did more for their match at WM 28 in 45 secs than the Rock managed all night. The highlight video of the Rock's career just seemed forced and the rolling out of celebrities to wish him a Happy Birthday complete with their vacuous smiles - we get it. The Rock is a big movie star but that means very little in the context of the match with Cena.
I dunno, dude. I mean, I am all good with battling back people who do nothing but complain, but as one of the people the OP here is likely targeted at, I cannot in good conscience say I was rivited by the Rock-a-thon. Did this happen for Austin's birthday? Michaels'? HHH's? No - only the Rock. And still, nobody can explain to me the logic of having a part-time performer who has not wrestled in 7 years (or more?) and is not schedule to wrestle for another 11 months deserved to take the Monday Night Raw AFTER a top-notch PPV and make 25% of it self-egrandising pander.
