Why are you all so fucking stupid?!

-WWE title picture (Cena, Miz)
-R-Truth/John Morrison
-New Nexus/Big Show/Kane
-Kharma killed another Diva
-Mysterio/Kofi vs. Swagger/McIntyre (not sure what this built, but probably Rey vs. Alberto, and maybe Swagger vs. Kofi)

Feuds were set up, or continued, and (even though you didn't like him) The Rock talked for 30 minutes to open the show, with that 30 minutes feeling more like 10. Really enjoyed this show.

Not complaining about the builds they managed to squeeze in. Indeed, what there was wrestling and feud wise was good. I am actually excited to see what they do with Kharma in the long term and who will be the saviour of the Divas division; R-Truth is winning me over, while Miz/Cena was excellent

But the Rock talking essentially about nothing for 45 mins at the beginning and the end of the show did nothing for me. Cena did more for their match at WM 28 in 45 secs than the Rock managed all night. The highlight video of the Rock's career just seemed forced and the rolling out of celebrities to wish him a Happy Birthday complete with their vacuous smiles - we get it. The Rock is a big movie star but that means very little in the context of the match with Cena.

I dunno, dude. I mean, I am all good with battling back people who do nothing but complain, but as one of the people the OP here is likely targeted at, I cannot in good conscience say I was rivited by the Rock-a-thon. Did this happen for Austin's birthday? Michaels'? HHH's? No - only the Rock. And still, nobody can explain to me the logic of having a part-time performer who has not wrestled in 7 years (or more?) and is not schedule to wrestle for another 11 months deserved to take the Monday Night Raw AFTER a top-notch PPV and make 25% of it self-egrandising pander.

BAM

1 Millions PPV buys for WrestleMania 27? I'm guessing that's it.

You know you could all go debate the stupid people in the WWE section instead of ranting about them in the cage.

Maybe not storyline-wise, but his fame certainly means a great deal to selling the actual PPV. They need to keep Rock on television, as often as he's available.

Oh, and they needed to suck his dick for the Mania 27 buyrate

I reiterate:
This thread isn't about last night's RAW.

This thread is about an attitude. IC, you weren't enjoying RAW, so you did something else - caught up on your sleep. None of this was directed at you because you did the logical thing and substituted something enjoyable in place of something you weren't enjoying.

I understand the capitalising on the financial success of WM27 but I fear that WWE will go way over the top in the Rock-sucking department. Sure, it would be great for Cena to get to beat the Great Movie Star but continuing along this forced appreciation of the Brahma Bull could quickly turn somewhat sour - the last time something similar happened, the crowd turned on the Rock and almost forced him to turn heel

Yeah, I realized that after I posted. That's the peril of posting at work - a quick post takes 40 minutes because of other things going on and I miss like 10 posts in the mean time.

So, yeah. Either way, I think you make a facinating point, and there's something to be said for how people seem to either love or hate last night's Raw. Very little in between.

Except for me. I also had 7 mg's of 5-HTP in me...

Sally and Holy One will be pleased to know that I've finally warmed up to Drew McIntyre and hope that he accomplishes good things on the RAW brand.

Doc that makes me feel so warm inside it truly does, where's Serious Jones with the SD roster Boom Boom gif to express my emotions.

I'm proud to say I have nothing bad to say about any show since I began watching again. I'm just watching to enjoy myself and I have been very much.

The only part I don't get is they campaign against bullying and say accept people for the way they are then call Vickie fat. Doesn't make sense to me. Got damn.

I agree mostly with what you're saying, Doc. The only thing I'd add is the people that defend the WWE and everything they do (even when it's quite obviously bad) as fervently as the people who hate it are equally as irritating as the haters in my book. It's a "let me force my opinion down your throat" mentality that really turns people off. And I do not mean you or this post.

It wasn't for building persay; every single person involved, even Del Rio, was a new draftee from SmackDown! to RAW. It was to show and remind the people who only watch RAW (I guess some still do that) about the new dudes on the red brand. I mean shit, maybe they'll go Rey/Del Rio again, but I fucking hope not.

K thread isn't about discussing wrestling IT'S ABOUT THE POSTERS

Awesome post, Doc. I totally agree with you that haters are just hating for no reason. I currently love the WWE product, and see very few issues with it, and I don't know why people are hating on it so much.

Also, that Swagger/McIntyre thing was totally not gay at all.

People invent their own misery so that they have a reason to complain.

I don't get the hate for it. Teddy & Kristals wedding on Smackdown a few years back was one of the most entertaining episodes of that year and there wasn't any matches.

Sorry, I don't like insults about feces nor do I find them funny. I think you should find some new ones.

Anyways, I do agree that people complain too much about the silliest things and that if they don't find it entertaining then they should just not bother watching. However, you said it yourself: this is a discussion place. Those people have the right to post however they feel about a company and its shows and if you don't like it then that's not their problem. If you don't like having to read those posts then you can easily step down as mod and won't have the responsibility to go through all of the negative posts you see everyday.
