Video Games Tourney hype thread

I probably won't be posting in the first few rounds since I haven't played a lot of the games that are usually in those rounds. I'm sure they are decent games but since I haven't played them I won't be posting. However, if I had played them I probably would post but since I haven't played them I won't be posting. So don't expect any posts from me in the first few rounds because a lot of the games that pop up in those rounds I haven't played so I can't comment on them.

Harvest Moon is an odd little game. Who would have thought virtual farming would be so popular besides Nintendo and whoever the fuck invented Farmville?

I am voting GTA3. Meele was good but no where near as good as GTA3 in my opinion. I liked playing GTA3 much more than meele and I found it to be more fun. I just think that GTA3 is a way better game and I am voting for it because of that reason. I just liked playing it more, but I still think Meele is a pretty good game, just not as good.

Umm.. Call me stupid if you want, but does GTA = Grand Theft Auto? I only played Vice City for the music.

And a couple of pages earlier, people were talking about the PokeMon games. Think the Sliver/Gold games were the best because they added features to the game that make it more addictive to me: Genders, affection towards trainer, date & time.. Without really changing the basics of the game or trying to 'cool it up' to appeal to the times.

I hate games that are styled to look 'cool' or 'futuristic' just to not look dated. I guess that is the charm of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature has for me.

What are the changes of having a pre-tournament for game franchises?

Example, if five people say Here Comes the Pain is the best Smackdown game, and five people say it's Shut Your Mouth, how much hassle would it be to have a tourny (or I guess it would just be a pool) for those interested to try and pick what game gets in.

This would be the best way to pick one specific game to represent the franchise in the tournament.
