UWF: Mock Draft V

I hate grey areas. No, I don't believe that fatal fourways and triple threats or even six-pack challaenges would be gimmicks, as long as the conventional rules apply. I would say gauntlet matches, however, are. As are No DQ bouts.

I have decided to spice up this a little bit with my next PPV, Green Eggs And Slams, by making it the first ever interactive PPV in the Mock Draft V. The card will be announced 1 by 1 in the coming days and also the choices which you can choose, a bit like Cyber Sunday. Match 1 will be:

Jeff Jarrett vs. Goldust

The choices are as follows:

What part will Dusty Rhodes play in the match -

A) Goldust's Tag Team Partner

B) Goldust's Manager

C) Special Referee

I know this is a big risk but I trust the guys in this thing (Which by the way are the only people that can vote for the matches) not to try and sabotage what IMO is a good idea. So, please, vote for what you think would be the best match and not what you think would lose me votes. I will write 3 different matches for each match and the one with the most votes I will post. Please get your votes in ASAP so I can string a show together.

i also vote for c) special refferee...

really good idea NBT, and really good original name for the ppv... some votes will surely come your way round three

We are back live at XL Center in Hartford, CT, and here come the participants in the UWE Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal. Now, there are ten participants are in this match. The only way to be eliminated is by being thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last man left in ring will face Christian Cage at Spring Showdown for IC Championship.
Out first is the Fighting Irishman, Finlay!
Next out is Bobby Lashley!
"I spit in the face of people who don't want to be cool."
Carlito makes his way out to the ring, looking particularly confident. Perhaps he overheard the Coalition's conversation earlier?
Rikishi is out next. He looks to be in pretty bad shape still. His ribs are taped pretty heavily I don't how he expects to be able to compete.
And here come the Dudley Boyz. What are they doing out here? They should be more preoccupied with Kane and Big Show, the no. 1 contenders for thier tag team titles.
JBL is out next... alone. His actions at Redemption led to the disbandment of the APA. AND JBL could not look any happier about it.
And here comes Batista!! The Animal looks ready to get back into the IC title picture. He looks intense and determined.
But he'll have to deal with these two. Tomko and AJ Styles have been put in this match by Christian Cage to ensure that Batista does not become the new No. 1 contender. Cage says he wants an easy opponent. We'll see if these two can do thier job.

The bell rings to start the battle royal and... what's this? AJ Styles has just rolled out of the ring!! He's walking back up the ramp. It looks like AJ is still more than a little angry at Christian Cage. He's leaving Tomko to deal with eight other men all by himself. And thr other men realize this... TOMKO"S BEEN ELIMINATED!! The other eight competitors all ganged up on him and threw him over the top rope! Tomko is furious! He is throwing around production equipment and... now he's taking apart the announcer's table! Meanwhile, Batista has just eliminated Carlito. Batista has to be considered the favorite in this matchup now that Styles and Tomko are gone. The other men are all trying to take out Batista, but he is on fire! Spear to the injured ribs of Rikishi! Spear to Lashley! Spinebusters to Finlay and JBL! Now here come the Dudleys... and Batista throws them both over the top rope! But... wait a minute. Tomko's back in the ring. What the hell does he think he's doing? Batista turns, and gets nailed with the Big Boot! Tomko now dumps Batista over the top rope. As controversial as it may be, Batista is officially eliminated, because he went over the top rope and both feet hit the ground. Tomko sure looks damn proud of himself. Uh-oh, Batista's coming to... he sees Tomko... and he goes after him. Tomko heads to back, with Batista right behind him! But now back to match, and Finlay's just been eliminated after a huge Clothesline from Hell by JBL. So we are down to just three men now, Bobby Lashley, Rikishi, and JBL. One of these three men will get an IC title shot against Christian Cage. JBL seems to be trying to convince Bobby Lashley to double team Rikishi. Rikishi's ribs seem to be really hurting him. Lashley spears Rikishi!! JBL is sneaking behind Lashley... Clothesline from Hell-- no! Lashley avoids the clothesline, drops down, holding the top rope, and JBL goes over! But he falls onto the apron, avoiding elimination. JBL is getting back up now. Lashley runs at JBL and hits a spear between the ropes! JBL is eliminated. So we are down to just Rikishi and Bobby Lashley. But Rikishi is not getting up. His ribs are severely injured. Lashley goes over to his opponent and picks him up. But Rikishi is in no shape to continue. He whispers something to Lashley, and slowly drops over the top rope. Rikishi has eliminated himself! Referees come to Rikishi and aid him to the back. He looks really injured. It may be quite awhile before we see Rikishi in action again. Well, it looks the winner is Bobby Lashley. He appears to be a little disappointed at how he won, but he is the victor nonetheless... hold on... AJ Styles is back at ringside! He's sneaking up behind Lashley... and dumps him over the top rope?! Of course, Styles rolled out of the ring, he didn't go over the top rope, so he was never officially eliminated. AJ Styles has won the battle royal!! Well, who better for Christian to face than his own cronie? This is ridiculous.
And now here comes Christian Cage, title and microphone in hand. Tomko is nowhere to be seen. I guess he's still hiding from Batista.

"Well, well, just when it seems the Coalition is down, we surprise the hell out of everyone. I couldn't be happier to wrestle my good friend AJ Styles. You know what? I don't even wanna wait until Spring Showdown. We're gonna have this match right now!"

Well, Christian couldn't be any more smug, now could he? And now we;re treated to this sham of a title defense. Cage is handing the referee his belt... Styles just low-blowed Christian!! But the referee didn't see it, so he rings the bell. Styles with the Spiral Tap... 1...2...3! Styles wins! Looks like AJ hadn't forgiven Christian after all!! AJ Styles is the NEW UWE Intercontinental Champion! What does this mean for the Coalition, and more importantly, what does this mean will happen regarding the IC title and Spring Showdown?

Here comes the next match. It has been revealed that Dusty Rhodes will be the special referee in the first match as he has recieved 3/5 votes and that cannot be overturned. the next match is as follows:

New Age Outlaws vs. Paul London and...

A) Brian Kendrick

B) The other half of the tag team champions Charlie Haas

C) Shelton Benjamin

I vote none of the above and you trade me the R-O-A-D D-O-Double G and the Assman, The One, the Badass Billy Gunn.

Well, then, since apparently NOONE wants to trade for them, I am dropping The Big Show and Kane and picking up Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, MNM!!

I know, but personally, I had nothing for them as singles stars. And I didn't want them as a tag team anymore. I tried shopping them around to pretty much everyone, noone wanted 'em, so I dropped em. BUT NOW, we get a matchup between two teams that have never faced off before...

We are back, and Vince McMahon is standing by backstage to make a breaking news announcement.

"Good evening everyone. Now, you all have seen some groundbreaking events take place this evening, and I think it's time to address certain questions, as well as make a few important announcements.
First off, you heard me say it earlier, and now I am making it official; the title match between Eddie Guerrero and Randy Orton at Spring Showdown will be a No Holds Barred match. Anything goes, anything is legal, there can be no count-outs or disqualifications.
Secondly, what you all heard earlier is true, I have agreed to have Spring Showdown feature two, never-before-seen contests. At that show, we will all see The Rock face off against Umaga, as well as the first-ever one-on-one encounter between Triple H and Rey Mysterio. Now, Triple H seems to think that his match with Rey Mysterio will be a No.1 Contender's match for the UWE Championship. Now, that is not official, however, I will say this: I am looking for a No. 1 Contender for our Collision Pay-Per-View, so everyone who appears on that card better be trying to impress me.
Now on to the next order of business. Many of you may have been wondering why I allowed the Dudley Boyz to compete in the battle royal earlier tonight, when they should have been concerned with preparing for the No. 1 contenders to thier tag team titles. Well, the answer is simple; because there weren't any no. 1 contenders. You see, I hired Kane and The Big Show as singles wrestlers, and yet they formed a tag team. Now, I can't be paying a tag team two singles salaries, especially the salaries of two former World Champions. So I gave them an ultimatum, either they split up, and work the singles divisions the way I had originally intended, or take thier team elsewhere. Well, it is my misfortune to announce that Kane and Big Show decided to take thier business elsewhere. They are no longer a part of the UWE roster, and I wish the best in thier future endeavors. However, when one door closes, another one opens. You notice I said that at the time of the battle royal, there weren't any No. 1 contenders. However, that has since changed. With the two open spots on the UWE roster, I decided to go out and sign a new tag team. And in the spirit of signing never-before-seen matchups for Spring Showdown, I went out and signed a team that The Dudley Boyz have never faced. At Spring Showdown, it will be the UWE Tag Team Champions Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley, versus... Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, MNM!!"

Wow, what a development! We now have NEW No. 1 contenders for the tag team titles, and it's a team the Dudleys have never faced before. Well, after Mr. McMahon's little speech, we can now confrim four matches for Spring Showdown:

UWE Tag Team Championship Match
The Dudley Boyz (c) vs. MNM

Triple H vs. Rey Mysterio

Umaga vs. The Rock

No Holds Barred Match for the UWE World Championship
Eddie Guerrero (c) vs. Randy Orton

Here comes the next match:

Gail Kim vs. Beth Phoenix

What will it be for:

A) Womens Title

B) Hair vs. Hair

C) Nothing

I vote A) Women's title.

And who do I gotta blow to get some feedback around here?! I'm writing all this build-up, trying to get people interested in my show, and it's like nobody cares. What's the point in this game if we're not even gonna discuss each other's work?

TNBT, your idea is great. I'm looking forward to your show.

And who do I gotta blow to get some feedback around here?! I'm writing all this build-up, trying to get people interested in my show, and it's like nobody cares. What's the point in this game if we're not even gonna discuss each other's work?
You know, this I the reason I haven't bothered posting anything other than my shows. Nobody gives feedback. It seems like there's so little interest in this. I think next time, we need to find a certain amount of people who are willing to give us feedback, and a certain number of people who are willing to vote weekly in the tournament. It would suck if one week 30 people vote, then the week after only 12 people voted.

With that said, I'm loving your build-up. You're a fantastic writer, and I'm eagerly anticipating your shows.

And who do I gotta blow to get some feedback around here?! I'm writing all this build-up, trying to get people interested in my show, and it's like nobody cares. What's the point in this game if we're not even gonna discuss each other's work?

I would probably but, y'know, GTA.

I'm poor because every time I pass a DVD rack, I gotta take a peak. I have a habit of searching through every little shelf to see if I can find a good deal. I'm still not sure why I bought The Ninth Gate. Sure it has Johnny Depp in it, and sure it was $5.99, but it's really not that good. But I did find Catch Me If You Can for $3.89... so you tell me if it's a gift or a curse.

Backstage, we see Christian Cage as he bumps into Mr. McMahon.

"Mr. McMahon, hey, how are ya? Have you seen Tomko?"

"Why, as a matter of fact, I have. I just saw him several minutes ago. Actually, I had searched him out. I had to let him know that at Spring Showdown, he'll be going one-on-one with Batista. Oh, and speaking of Spring Showdown... I think you'll be pleased to hear that you will get a chance to regain the Intercontinental Championship. It will be an IC Championship Rematch, you, Christian, versus "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles... In a Ladder Match!! And I suggest you put more effort into your match next Sunday than you did tonight. You're not gonna have much help, because not only is Tomko going to be busy with Batista, what makes you think he hasn't deserted you like AJ?"

McMahon then exits, leaving Christian alone with his thoughts.

But before Vince can make it to his office, he is interrupted by the Dudleys. Bubba Ray is, as usual, pissed.

"Vince, are you serious? You're gonna just throw these MNM guys at us without warning? We've never even faced these guys, and you expect us to be ready to face them with the titles on the line? That's ridiculous. I'm furious! And D-Von's so mad he can't even speak."

"Gentleman, you're absolutely right. It was unfair of me to throw such a curveball at you. So, to even the playing field, I decided to put this match, in an environment you're more accustomed to. Your match with MNM is now... a TABLES MATCH! Are we happy now?"

Bubba Ray has a grin on his face. "Or we're happy. We're happy, right D-Von?"

"OH MY BROTHER, TESTIFY!!"
* * * * * * * * * *

JBL is now making his way down to the ring, and he appears to have some sort of bag or satchel under his arm. But while we wait for JBL to reach the ring, I think it's important to share that the word from backstage is that Mickie James has DEMANDED a match against Trish Stratus at Spring Showdown, for the UWE Women's Championship, and that Trish Stratus has accepted the challenge. So it appears that we will have an Awakening Rematch for the women's title at Spring Showdown. And now JBL is ready to speak.

"I know that a lot of people were shocked that I turned by back on my long-time partner, Ron Simmons. But I had every reason on thw world to do what I did. The explanation is simple;
I am a champion. And champions live to have gold around thier waists. I have held tag team championships, hardcore championships, hell, forget all of those accolades, I am a former WORLD CHAMPION. My reign is the stuff of legends. A man like me can't live long without gold. Now, the APA has held it's fair share of titles. But that was a long, long time ago. The APA had seen it's day. Ron Simmons had seen his day. He was holding me back. I realized that in our match against the Dudleys. He was losing the match for us. And that's when I realized that I had no need for a partner that I would have to carry on my shoulders. So I let him and the past go. And so should all of you. The APA is dead. There is only John "Bradshaw" Layfield... get over it.
Now, if JBL isn't going to pursue tag team gold, then that only leaves singles gold. So I went to Vince McMahon, and I implored him to give me a title shot. But for some reason, he said no. So I decided to take matters into my own hands."

JBL reaches into the bag and removes... a title belt?!

"This is THE United States Championship. This is the most historic title in the history of professional wrestling. It's legacy has lived on through three generations of wrestling. It was defended in the NWA, and then WCW, and then it came to the WWE, and there, it saw it's greatest champion... ME. And then, a travesty occurred, when it was abandoned, left undefended. And now I am ressurecting the most prestigous title in the most prestigous wrestling promotion in the world today. Mark this day in wrestling history, as the day that John "Bradshaw" Layfield played Jesus with wrestling history, and brought THE United States Championship back from the dead.
And it's all perfectly legal. Vince McMahon has approved the re-activation of the U.S. title, on the ONE condition, that I defend it against all comers. So, I have agreed to a Six Pack Challenge at Spring Showdown, in an open invitational format. Any five superstars who want a chance at glory, can step up next Sunday. And then, at Spring Showdown, you will all see another ressurection. At Spring Showdown, you will all see the ressurection of John "Bradshaw" Layfield... the WRESTLING GOD!!"

Wow, this is a crazy development. We have witnessed the death of the APA and re-birth of JBL and the United States Championship. And NOW we are treated to an open invitational Six Pack Challenge at Spring Showdown. But one would have to assume, that with the open invitation-style format of the match, that JBL will need to be wary of his old partner Ron Simmons. Simmons may be down, but knowing him, he is FAR from out.
So with tonight's developments, it appears as if we have a full card for Spring Showdown. Here's the line-up that can be expected next Sunday:

Six Pack Challenge for the UWE United States Championship
JBL (c) vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ???

Batista vs. Tomko

Tables Match for the UWE Tag Team Championships
MNM vs. The Dudley Boyz (c)

UWE Women's Championship Match
Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus (c)

Triple H vs. Rey Mysterio

Ladder Match for UWE Intercontinental Championship
Christian Cage vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles

The Rock vs. Umaga

No Holds Barred Match for the UWE Championship
Randy Orton vs. Eddie Guerrero (c)
