UWF: Mock Draft V

Well, I have his show so I suggest we just use that. Y'know, to pay our respects before he gets disqualified sort of thing. He was a good member...*breaks down and cries* I can't believe he had MA all this time! The poor soul, he couldn't have had long.

rite guys i dont want to let people down but i have been absoloutly snowed under with course work this week so my card will be just a list of results, obvioulsy im not going to expect many votes in this round but I just posting to keep things moving:

Hurricane Helms and Mighty Molly defeat Chyna and X-pac

Eric Bischoff's world champion Sid defeats Harry Smith

Ken Shamrock defeats Owen Hart

The British Bulldogs defeat The Brainbusters for Number one Contenderships for the tag titles.

Ric Flair defeats Razor ramone

Randy Savage defeats Jazz who accepted his offer of an open invertational match!

Stone Cold Steve Austin defeats Kevin Nash for number one contendership to Randy Savage World title

I've been busy, but managed to finish my card. Will be posted tomorrow.

So is Cage permanently banned? I guess he giving himself votes in this tournament then?

I guess, though it just seems like a waste if anybody does actually vote for him, since that vote could make a difference to somebody who's still actually participating.

Why not just have someone pick up where he left off? Cage has a great roster, I think it would be a waste for it to disappear. It would be like the WWF closing when Russo left. Cage is just the writer. Give the brand to someone else. After all, we aren't voting on the people, we're voting on the shows. Aren't we?

Was I THAT transparent? lol

Yeah, I'd love to pick it up.

One question, though: If I honestly feel that Cage's show was the best this week, can I still vote for it? Only because Cage has been my favorite so far, I voted for him last time, and I really like his show this week.

Alright, I have no real need for any of the following wrestlers:
Bobby Lashley
Finlay
Carlito
Rikishi

If anyone is interested in taking these guys off my hands, please let me know. I'm looking for tag teams for the most part, but I'm willing to consider any offer. Otherwise, meh, I'll probably just end up not doing anyhting with 'em, completely forget I even have them to use, and then NOONE gets to use 'em. Such a waste.

sorry guys, my computer broke so like JP i can only post results:

Gail Kim def. Lita to retain the Womens title

Vader def. Goldberg to advance to the final of the WFW Title tournament

Booker T def. The Great Muta to retain his UK Title

Dusty Rhodes & Goldust def. London and Kendrick after Haas came out and announced his alliance with London after they beat down London's former partner, Kendrick, until Benjamin made the save

New Age Outlaws def. Charlie Haas in a handicap match

Roddy Piper def. Jimmy Snuka in a hardcore match after Jake Roberts assisted him

Hulk Hogan def. John Cena to face Vader in the WFW Title Final.

I'd laugh if people actually voted for someone who didn't actually write a show, just posted results. I understand people have lives and are busy such as myself recently, but isn't the point of this to actually dedicate some time towards writing a show?

Mine will be posted within the next few hours.

The pyro exploded and the crowd were lifted to their feet - the events of Taken obviously havinge effected them, as well as the news of the significant trades of Batista and Triple H for Chris Jericho and Christopher Daniels having opened up whole new possibilities. The two would face off tonight, as would the number one contender The Undertaker against the champion Brock Lesnar, and new tag champions America’s Most Wanted against their first challengers, Jeff and Matt Hardy, in a ladder match. Speaking of tag team matches…

Elimination Tag Match

- Sabu & Rob Van Dam vs. The Briscoe Bros. vs. The Latin American Xchange

These men all had something in common: they all lost at Taken. LAX lost their Ultimate X Match against the Hardy Boyz despite considerable advantages. The Briscoes Brothers lost their tag titles in a spectacular Bar Room Brawl. Sabu and RVD lost their respective matches against Low Ki and Taz. They also had another thing in common - they all wanted revenge. Heyman, sensing an opportunity, decided not to solve the situation, but instead to exacerbate it. They'd all have to fight for their reputations in an elimination tag match and would be rewarded...on the condition that they put on a good enough show.

***

The heel tactics of LAX were unnecessary as the popularity of their two opponents made them hated enough without them. However, RVD and Sabu seemed unimpressed with the situation they were in, taking a lot of breathers and often just standing out of the ring watching the other two teams fight; that was a treat enough to the fans, the Briscoes and LAX’s fast, high impact action causing pops aplenty. Homicide managed to take Jay out of the ring, leaving Hernandez to finish off Marc with a Border Toss, but for RVD and Sabu to finish Hernandez off with a quick run in and a double leg drop through a table. Homicide and Jay, finally realising what happened, stopped brawling each other and slid into the ring, but not before Sabu and RVD could set up a couple of tables. The two managed to send Sabu to the outside, and, incredibly, managed to perform a Springboard Doomsday Device on RVD through a table, finishing him off. Sabu ran into the ring, valiantly fighting, but it wasn’t long before Homicide and Jay performed another double team move - a Spike J-Driller this time. Sabu eliminated, the final two faced each other in the center of the ring. Homicide offered Jay his hand. Jay accepted, only to be hit by a surprise Gringo Killah.

Non-Title Match

Taz © vs. Rhino

Television Champion Taz and War Machine/Man-beast Rhino were both coming off their own personal victories; Rhino's battering of the now departed Batista was not a traditional victory due to a disqualification ruled against him, but it still added to an already impressive reputation for his brutal, animalistic qualities. Likewise, Taz added to the regrowth of his impressive reputation with a choke out victory against the debuting Rob Van Dam with the Tazmission. Impressed with the work of two men he knew so well, GM Paul Heyman declared a friendly match between them, which he expected would be much less than friendly.

***

The match was back and forth nearly all the way through, both domineering wrestlers controlling for a certain amount of time before the other turned it around. Likewise, the crowd was torn - the difference in the volume and quantity of chants being near indiscernible. It came down to Rhino unexpectedly on the back foot, Taz positioned over him delivering unforgiving forearm after unforgiving forearm. The War Machine managed to stand a toss him over using only his back strength, a devastating Gore from nowhere sending Taz spinning spectacularly through the air. A quick cover - with a near kick out by the TV champion - meant that Rhino secured the win.

- CM Punk vs. Mr. Kennedy

CM Punk was on the verge of capturing the world heavyweight championship at Taken, champion Brock Lesnar locked into the Anaconda Vise. He got the win alright, due to a DQ caused by a vicious beatdown at the hands of the Green Bay Loudmouth, Mr. Kennedy, who went on to claim that if someone like Punk deserved a title shot, so did he. After all, he was a hot, rising star too; far hotter than Punk, apparently. Punk managed to teach him somewhat of a lesson in the ring, before Kennedy fled, that is. Now it comes down to the two to settle the score and there will be no escape for either man.

***

Unsurprisingly, Punk started out strong, battering Kennedy from pillar to post with hard strikes and punishing him with torturous submission holds. Similarly, the crowd were on the Straightedge superstar‘s side, lending him their support in what turned out to be a brutal battle between the two; Kennedy managed to take out of the referee and introduced a chair into the match, which - quite obviously - lead to much blood being spilled. Punk finally set him up in the corner, ready to deliver the Pepsi Plunge, only to have a low blow delivered to him and a stunning Green Bay Plunge from the top rope onto the steel chair. Before the referee came to, Kennedy sneakily disposed of the chair and the win was his. One thing was for sure, Punk would still want closure - this bitter rivalry wasn‘t over yet.

IPW Tag Team Championship
Ladder Match

- America’s Most Wanted © vs. The Hardy Boyz

On the same night that the Hardys overcame the odds to capture the no. 1 contenders spot, AMW rode theirs to yet another set of tag titles. Now it comes down to one of the most anticipated tag matches ever. An AMW/Hardys encounter would be hot enough, but that wasn't enough in IPW, oh no! With the tag titles on the line, this brutal battle would be a ladder match. Undoubtedly, there'll be thrills and spills, blood and broken bones, the sacrifice of their own bodies for the sake of wearing the gold around their waists.

***

Oddly, the crowd were split in this match. The traditional side went for the obvious option of cheering for the faces, the Hardys in this case. However, the “more informed“ portion of the audience went for the option of the more respected defending champions, AMW. Either way, both put on a spectacular show. Storm and Harris showed that it wasn‘t only Team Xtreme that could fly high using a ladder, but the brothers showed what they were famous for sure enough - Jeff Hardy taking both himself and Harris out with a Swanton from the scaffolding over the entrance through a table lying below…which he nearly missed. It came down to Storm and Matt slowly ascending a ladder underneath a belt. The plain-haired Hardy had Storm‘s leg caught in the ladder for a second, his own hand on the belts, about to loosen them. At the last second, Storm managed to get his leg free - and smashed a beer bottle over Matt‘s head. Matt went tumbling through the table behind him, and Storm captured the tag gold.

Three Stages of Hell Match
1: Singles Match
2: Submission Match
3: Steel Cage Match

- Chris Jericho vs. Christopher Daniels

Chris Jericho made yet another spectacular return to professional wrestling with his IPW debut following his departure from Vince McMahon's UWE. However, CM Punk and Mr. Kennedy weren't the only two looking to still make their names. Another former UWE talent, the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, debuted alongside him and, after some harsh words, challenged him to a match at Breakdown. Jericho cheerily accepted, running his mouth about how he needed someone to make an example of anyway. Daniels was irate, and had easily-swayed GM Paul Heyman attach the unforgiving stipulation to the match. One man will be the example.

***

Arguably the most entertaining fall was the first, Daniels getting a surprising, if not overwhelming, amount of support from the decisively pro-Jericho crowd; he had a very vocal minority in the palm of his hand. A lionsault from Jericho couldn‘t put Daniels away for the first fall, but it did lead into the Angel‘s Wings which decided it.

The second fall was exciting as well, however. It looked to be the end of it when Jericho locked in the Walls, but Daniels somehow made it to the ropes, later hitting an overzealous Jericho with a Reverse STO, transitioning into the Kobi Clutch (causing a large amount of applause to come from the fans). Similarly though, Jericho got to the ropes. The end did come, however, as Jericho locked in a Crippler Crossface on Daniels, who tapped before long.

The Fallen Angel refused to be put on his backfoot, and somehow managed to dictate the pace of the match. It could even be said he dominated Jericho. Pinfall rules applied, as did escape rules. Daniels sensed an opening and made a break for it, quickly ascending the cage. Jericho followed afterwards and grabbed on his legs, preventing him from escaping. The Fallen Angle managed to kick him back down to the ring, leaving him sprawled on the mat. That wasn’t enough for Daniels though, who proceeded to go for a BME from the top of the cage! Unfortunately, Jericho moved out of the way, leaving Daniels ripe for the pinning.

Chris Jericho

After the match, Daniels received a standing ovation…as he was carried out on a stretcher.

Main Event
IPW World Heavyweight Championship

- Brock Lesnar © vs. The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer

IPW Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has beaten everybody in his way, from CM Punk to Kurt Angle to Triple H. He's also faced The Undertaker before. He hasn't, however, faced the deadman nor the Phenom who put a broken Triple H through hell in a cell. He hasn't the faced the man who claims this will be Lesnar's last title defense. With his manager, Paul Bearer, and the legendary urn at his side, how can this version of The Undertaker be stopped? If anybody knows, it'll be the world champion.

***

Quite obviously, the deadman drew most of the attention in this one. In early going, however, Lesnar‘s youth and strength met he came out with the advantage after lock-ups. The deadman managed to get a bit of distance though, and peppered Lesnar with hard shots. The match went back and forth from this point, the champion showing that he was indeed deserving, giving the crowd surprises as he surpassed his opponent in unexpected areas. The deadman stayed firmly in it though, a vintage move here and there effecting the defending champion badly. The match went on for a long time and, when the crowd began to sense the end, the intensity went up and the two‘s endurance came into play. Lesnar tried to set Taker up on a turnbuckle, only to be kicked away - and have the deadman fly at him with a cross-body block. He caught him, however, and tossed him up onto his shoulders before delivering an F-5, but the ensuing pin attempt wasn‘t successful. Like with the first title match with Angle, Lesnar decided desperate times called for desperate measures and went up for a Shooting Star Press, which he hit successfully. But still, the phenom could not be pinned. The champion kneeled over his opponent frustrated, only to have a hand suddenly wrapped around his throat and a Chokeslam delivered on him. It seemed that Lesnar was just as tough as his opponent, as he kicked out. The end was near though, very near. The champion stumbled to his feet and was scooped into a devastating Tombstone piledriver, but wasn‘t released, as Undertaker stood up again and delivered another one. Paul Bearer celebrated furiously, urn in hand as the referee counted to three.

New IPW World Heavyweight Champion: The Undertaker

After the match, the lights went down and The Undertaker struck his signature pose. The crowd went wild, until he was suddenly hit from behind by Sabu, RVD and Rhino. The three battered him as Jericho, Kennedy, LAX and Taz made their way to the ring, lead by GM Paul Heyman. All were wearing ECW shirts and all aided in the beat down with the exception of Kennedy and Taz. The former momentarily left the ring to chase Paul Bearer away, and the latter seemed to show some sort of respect to the new champion as he merely stood in the corner and looked on, unemotional. Lesnar, seeming to have earned some respect for his opponent, tried to intervene, only to be Gored from the ring by Rhino. The crowd booed furiously as Heyman grabbed a microphone:

“This ain‘t WCW! This ain‘t Monday Night Raw! This ain‘t even IPW! This is E-C-W!”

In a fortnight, IPW goes to Japan:

ICTJ.png

After the shocking events which took place at Breakdown, Paul Heyman refused to comment. Instead, he said that all would be revealed at IPW's next Pay-Per-View, when he will reveal all the matches on the card one-by-one on the night! The one thing he could guarantee, however, was that The Undertaker would defend his newly won world title when International Professional Wrestling went to Japan.

You really want to waste a card as good as that? To anyone that just posted results, you can forfeit this round and use all your good ideas for the next round if you want.
