Maybe in this particular poll, but overall, I am shocked at the number of people who have voted for themselves and/or campaigned for themselves in various other polls. I don't get it myself, the whole idea of giving yourself a vote for top ...whatever... of the year. If you deserve to win, you probably don't need to vote for yourself. If you do feel the need to vote for yourself, maybe you don't deserve to win the poll in the first place. To each his own, I just don't get it personally.

I don't know. I love Buffalo, but it may be because he is a main stay in the MMA section, I haven't really seen him elsewhere not that he doesn't post elsewhere. Blue got my vote but rest assured it was between Blue and Buffalo.

I've got to go with the guy that's been the most consistent, has contributed the most, has improved the most, and has the resume to show for it. As much as I'm a big fan of a few guys on this list, no one fits that criteria more than Ferbian. He really deserves it.

I infracted him when he first came on and he argued with me. Then, he took my critisicms and began to improve. Over time, he became respected by most. Then, he began to contribute more than many others. In time, he got modded and then was promoted within the mod positions again. All of this within a year.

Ferbian is the one who should win this. No one on the list can compare with all of that.

If someone thinks they're not getting the recognition they deserve, then I commend them for campaigning and voting for themselves. To look down on someone for doing that is fucking laughable.

No offense to Ferbian but I wouldn't even have him in the top three of all rookies. Yes he's a mod and he posts a lot but I'll take quality over quantity and there are a few in the poll that still post a lot and have a higher quality. Ferbian is a solid poster but definitely not the best rookie, at least with my criteria.
