That practicing statistic is misleading. Those people are still Christians, much in the same way as homosexuals who aren't actively having sex are still gay. And guess what, those non-practicing Christians don't get shit for considering themselves Christian, but those homosexuals are still given shit because of their sexual orientation.

And let's not forget that the UK is fairly progressive when it comes to gay rights. Look at the US, gays are not allowed to marry, have trouble adopting in many places, and are looked down upon in entire states. Other major developing countries also shun homosexuality, like China.

Yes 42 people say they're christian in the UK but only 2% are practicing. It's a case of "My Dad said he was a christian, I went to catholic school, I go to church at christmas, I was christened" type thing.

To summarize: Homosexuality is not a choice, Christianity is. Do both sides get ridiculed? Yes, from different people and for different reasons. Anyways, my thoughts on bisexuality? I think bi-sexual people are just confused straight or gay people. They aren't 100% sure what they are or don't want to say they are one or the other so they just choose something that is in the middle. Eventually though, and I've seen it happen, they choose one side of the fence.

Or, I realized one day that I am attracted to members of both sexes and never really thought about it again. My sexuality doesn't define me, it's just there. That being said, I'm definitely not confused. I don't know why people always associate bisexuality with confusion. It just means I'm attracted to both males and females. Nothing confusing about it.

I never said your sexuality defined you and that you were confused. From what I've seen, meaning my perspective, a lot of bisexual people are confused. They just say they are bisexual because it's the best of both worlds and they can easily switch to being either straight or gay. But in reality, they lean more towards one sex and eventually, again from what I've seen, will just claim they are either gay or straight.

With me it was way different. I was always attracted to men sexually, but I didn't want to admit it. So as a result, I just said I was straight and hoped it was a phase. Eventually though, I came to love who I am and realized that I'm gay. I was never confused, more like in denial of who I was.

There's still the implication in your post saying bisexuals are generally confused simply because a lot of them are, and it's just not the case. Bisexuality, in my case, can be classified as a separate sexuality simply because I'm not confused about who I'm sexually attracted to.
