It's not so much the production value, because that was a draw. It was the fact that TNA did a pure slapstick comedy and WWE did an edgy, violent drama. Of course the fact that it was young, charismatic performers in a new feud instead of Hardy v. Hardy #4,765 helped a bunch too.
