King Patrick Star
K. O. T. R. 2007 - Team Undisputed
So Ive been watching every Pay Per View from Starrcade 1983 to present ever since the WWE Network started, and last night I just finished WrestleMania X7. Here are a few notes Id like to share and if you want to, maybe discuss.
First let me say, it was really awesome to be able to see all of it from the beginning. I loved seeing Hall of Famers, Legends, and Superstars jump from one promotion to another, and in some cases, back, and in fewer cases, back yet again to the promotion they jumped ship to in the first place (Jeff Jarrett). One example was Meng winning the WCW Hardcore Championship Title at WCW Sin 2001 and then Haku entering at number 29 at the WWF Royal Rumble 2001 just 1 week later. I wish he showed up with the WCW Hardcore Championship, and proceed to smash it up and throw it in the trash.
I never realized Kane wore all black at the No Way Out 2001 Pay Per View. I think that looks attire looks great.
The dubbed music really bothered me in some cases, because it canceled out some of the crowd noise. Theres one instance where they dubbed over Diamond Dallas Pages entrance song with a generic version, but I guess they forgot to edit out Kanyons entrance music. He was using DDPs gimmick and entrance music at the time.
I really enjoyed watching Triple Hs career from the beginning. He really is the Game, the King of Kings!!
ECW was really an alternative to WWE and WCW. I wish it would have gone on a little longer. Who knows what would have happened to Rhino had they continued. I also thought that it was really cool to see Justin Credible and Steve Corino join forces after the battles they went through. Would have been nice to see where that was going.
Mean Gene was really mean in WCW, and rude at times, though entertaining all the time. It was like he was trying to be WCWs answer to WWFs Jerry The king Lawler. Im pretty sure he hit on every woman he came in contact with in WCW.
Id really like to see a World War 3 60-man battle royal in todays WWE. It would have been nice to see 20 guys from Raw, 20 guys from Smackdown, and 20 guys from NXT competing for a shot at WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.
Ive said it before, but after see ECW Guilty as Charged 2001 and WCW Greed 2001, I really wish WWE would have brought in all of the WCW and ECW SuperStars at the time for the Invasion angle. I understand why it didnt happen, but they could have at least stretched it out, by keeping the brands separate.
The Magnificent 7 would have been a great Stable in WWE back in 2001, at least on paper. They could have faced the WWE team of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit.
I feel like I didnt see enough of the pre-Nitro Four Horsemen or the nWo Wolfpac or the nWo Elite or the nWo 2000.
I feel like I saw too much of the original nWo and DX.
I would really like to see the WWE buy TNA before I get to Taboo Tuesday 2004, just so I can see Victory Road 2004 before I watch Survivor Series 2004.
With that being said, I dont know what Im going to watch after I finally catch up to the current Pay Per View. Im thinking about watching every Saturday Nights Main Event and Clash Of Champions in chronological order next. By the time I finish, the WWE Network should have every episode of Raw, Smackdown, Nitro and Thunder up.
As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, seeing Reggie White compete in a WCW ring was great!! As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, seeing Green Bay Packer Reggie White lose was great!! Just kidding.
I would like to see a documentary on just Championship Title Belts.
Well, thank you WCW and ECW!! Now on to WWF Backlash 2001!!
