Random Rhetorical Rants

So I’ve been watching every Pay Per View from Starrcade 1983 to present ever since the WWE Network started, and last night I just finished WrestleMania X7. Here are a few notes I’d like to share and if you want to, maybe discuss.

First let me say, it was really awesome to be able to see all of it from the beginning. I loved seeing Hall of Famers, Legends, and Superstars jump from one promotion to another, and in some cases, back, and in fewer cases, back yet again to the promotion they jumped ship to in the first place (Jeff Jarrett). One example was Meng winning the WCW Hardcore Championship Title at WCW Sin 2001 and then Haku entering at number 29 at the WWF Royal Rumble 2001 just 1 week later. I wish he showed up with the WCW Hardcore Championship, and proceed to smash it up and throw it in the trash.

I never realized Kane wore all black at the No Way Out 2001 Pay Per View. I think that looks attire looks great.

The dubbed music really bothered me in some cases, because it canceled out some of the crowd noise. There’s one instance where they dubbed over Diamond Dallas Page’s entrance song with a generic version, but I guess they forgot to edit out Kanyon’s entrance music. He was using DDP’s gimmick and entrance music at the time.

I really enjoyed watching Triple H’s career from the beginning. He really is the Game, the King of Kings!!

ECW was really an alternative to WWE and WCW. I wish it would have gone on a little longer. Who knows what would have happened to Rhino had they continued. I also thought that it was really cool to see Justin Credible and Steve Corino join forces after the battles they went through. Would have been nice to see where that was going.

Mean Gene was really mean in WCW, and rude at times, though entertaining all the time. It was like he was trying to be WCW’s answer to WWF’s Jerry The king Lawler. I’m pretty sure he hit on every woman he came in contact with in WCW.

I’d really like to see a World War 3 60-man battle royal in today’s WWE. It would have been nice to see 20 guys from Raw, 20 guys from Smackdown, and 20 guys from NXT competing for a shot at WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.

I’ve said it before, but after see ECW Guilty as Charged 2001 and WCW Greed 2001, I really wish WWE would have brought in all of the WCW and ECW SuperStars at the time for the Invasion angle. I understand why it didn’t happen, but they could have at least stretched it out, by keeping the brands separate.

The Magnificent 7 would have been a great Stable in WWE back in 2001, at least on paper. They could have faced the WWE team of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit.

I feel like I didn’t see enough of the pre-Nitro Four Horsemen or the nWo Wolfpac or the nWo Elite or the nWo 2000.

I feel like I saw too much of the original nWo and DX.

I would really like to see the WWE buy TNA before I get to Taboo Tuesday 2004, just so I can see Victory Road 2004 before I watch Survivor Series 2004.

With that being said, I don’t know what I’m going to watch after I finally catch up to the current Pay Per View. I’m thinking about watching every Saturday Night’s Main Event and Clash Of Champions in chronological order next. By the time I finish, the WWE Network should have every episode of Raw, Smackdown, Nitro and Thunder up.

As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, seeing Reggie White compete in a WCW ring was great!! As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, seeing Green Bay Packer Reggie White lose was great!! Just kidding.

I would like to see a documentary on just Championship Title Belts.

Well, thank you WCW and ECW!! Now on to WWF Backlash 2001!!

Why do wrestlers continue to drop their head and attempt back body drops when their opponent is coming off the ropes? It seemingly happens multiple times per match and is rarely successful. It looks ridiculous, especially when guys are lazy with it and telegraph it way too early.
Why did WCW take an incredibly gifted monster like Mike Awesome and stick him with some of the lamest gimmicks imaginable? I always thought he could be a big force in the sport and really feel like they dropped the ball.
Why didn't the WWF ever go ahead with a major Flair/Hogan feud? I know there were politics and some inconveniences involved, but this was the match wrestling fans had been dreaming about for years. No excuse to keep that from us, it should have been historic.

The fact they made Awesome into "That 70s Guy" and "The Fat Chick Thriller" angers me so much. What the absolute fuck were they thinking? HOW THE HELL were either of those gimmicks ever going to work? No way was Awesome going to be successful as either character. It was a disgrace and an inexcusable waste of a major talent.

Fuck, I'm actually getting angry now thinking about it.

Back body drops use to be my go to move in the arcade games, WWF SuperStars and WWF Wrestlefest. My Brother and I would use it a lot in Wrestlefest to dump someone over the top rope in the Royal Rumble mode. It did annoy me whenever it was telegraphed, but that goes with everything else in Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment.

Mike Awesome was awesome and his comedy gimmicks were a waste, but that was due to the politics behind everything. I think the WWE used him correctly, but surely could have pushed him a little higher than they kept him at.

I would have loved to have seen a proper WWF Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair feud with a payoff at WrestleMania. If they had timed it correctly, this is how I would have liked to have seen it all play out.

SummerSlam
The Mega Maniacs (Hulk Hogan and Brutus the Barber Beefcake) vs. The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair and Barry Windham)
The Ultimate Maniacs (The Ultimate Warrior and Macho Man Randy Savage) vs. The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard)

Survivor Series
The Ultimate Mega Maniacs (Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and Brutus the Barber Beefcake vs. The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard)

Royal Rumble
All 8 SuperStars in the Royal Rumble match

WrestleMania
WWF World Champion, Hulk Hogan vs. “The Real” World Champion Ric Flair
Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Sid (the newest member of the Four Horsemen in the WWF at the time)

Granted, a lot would have to be changed around, but I think it could have worked if they really wanted it to work.

It’s that time of year again!! The Road to Night Of Champions starts…started 2 days ago!!

By the way, in case you’re keeping track of me watching every Pay Per View on the WWE Network, I’m currently on Backlash 2005.

I must say, seeing John Cena win the WWE Championship from JBL and Batista winning the World Championship from Triple H, both for the first time in the same night, brought back a lot of memories.

Seeing the Undisputed WWE Championship Title Belt design for the last time, was pretty upsetting. Thankfully I have my own sitting right in front of my TV.

So Sting interrupts a statue unveiling of the WWE / United States Champion…and he gets a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title shot!? If it was anyone else in the building, wouldn’t security escort them out??

Was anyone else pulling for the Lucha Dragons to win the WWE World Tag Team Championship Titles at SummerSlam??

Was anyone else pulling for the Big Show to win the Intercontinental Championship Title at SummerSlam??

I have to believe they are saving John Cena’s 16th WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title reign for something big. If they didn’t do it at the 2nd biggest WWE Pay Per View event of the year, will they do it at the Grandest Stage Of Them All next year??

I would love to see Kurt Angle come back to the WWE and face John Cena. The sing-a-longs would be great!!

You suck!! You suck!! You suck!! You suck!!

...followed by...

John Cena sucks!! John Cena sucks!! John Cena sucks!! John Cena sucks!!

Never mind the fact that they are probably 2 of the best Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainers in the history of Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment.

This match should be interrupted by New Day.

New..Day sucks!! New..Day sucks!! New..Day sucks!! New..Day sucks!!

They could even form a stable named Super Undisputed Champion Kings...or S. U. C. K.

My Wall of Jakks Championship Title Belts!!

I finally got my wall repaired. Can anyone spot the Mattel Championship Title Belt??

I finally got around to creating a couple of Stables last night and I created the Four Horsemen. Now I don’t have them making their entrance together, but whenever the come out individually, the announcers says, “Representing the Four Horsemen…” which is just cool to me for some reason. So my Four Horsemen consist of:

World Heavyweight Champion (Big Gold Belt), Ric Flair. Naturally, I’d have the Nature Boy lead the greatest Stable in Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment history.

WCW United States Champion, Lex Luger. Because WWE 2K15 doesn’t have the 2nd through the 5th member, I put the 6th member in my lineup.

WCW Champion (WCW 91) Sting (91 / Sufer). Because WWE 2K15 doesn’t have the 7th member, I put the 8th member in my lineup.

Here’s where it gets tricky. I was going to put Curtis Axel in, by using his Legacy card, but I redid RybAxel and created the Nexus instead, by adding Bad News Barrett, Daniel Bryan, and Justin Gabriel.

I decided I was going to put in the one person I feel is deserving of the honor of being called a Horsemen, Undisputed Champion, Chris Jericho!!

Who would you have added as the 4th Horsemen?? Please limit your picks to those already in the game. I don’t like creating Stars or downloading them from others. Thanks.

Other Stables I created / edited are:

Stables that enter the arena together:

Evolution (minus Ric Flair)
The Authority (Evolution plus current Kane)
Brothers Of Destruction (current Undertaker and Kane without mask, announced as the Ministry Of Darkness, using Undertaker theme and video, but Kane’s ribbon)
Brothers Of Destruction (classic Undertaker and Kane 02, announced as the Ministry Of Darkness, using Kane 02’s theme and video, but Undertaker’s ribbon)
DX

Stables that do not enter the arena together.

Ultimate Mega Power Maniacs (Hulk Hogan (the only Hogan I got), Macho Man Randy Savage, and both Ultimate Warriors, announced as the Maniacs)
Main Event Mafia (Kevin Nash, Booker T. and Sting, announced as The Family)

I know what you mean!! For 10 long years, I kept saying to myself, “Damn, I want the Undisputed WWE World Championship Title Belt!!” I bought the Jakks version, and though I got my quick fix, the magic just didn’t last as long as I wanted. So I set a personal goal for myself and once I achieved that, I got my prize. To this day, I still can’t stop admiring it. I’ve bought a few more since then, but the Undisputed WWE World Championship Title Belt will always be the “Crown Jewel” of my collection…and I actually have crowns and jewels in my collection.

the Undisputed Championship belt is easily the best looking belt ever, along with the Big Gold Belt.

i can never forgive john cena for what he did to the belt after he won it.

Well now that I think about it, if you're going to post a picture of your daughter on the internet you better be ready for someone to be a dick. Someone was going to eventually. It happened to be you. Usually its me. Carry on sir.

I’m going to assume BringThePain834 means she’s popular with the guys, because she’s wearing a Superman Baseball jersey and is holding the WWE United States Championship Title Belt.

Yes, the Undisputed WWE World Championship Title Belt is the best looking Championship Title Belt in the history of Championship Title Belts, and I agree that the Big Gold Belt is the second best. I have, however, forgiven John Cena for what he did to the Belt after he won it, only because it later became my Son’s first favorite Championship Title Belt. His words were, “If the Undisputed is your favorite, and the Spinner came after it, the Spinner must be the Son of the Undisputed, like I’m your Son, right Dad??”

HA!! Yes, it has happened to me on text messages and E-Mails as well. You can’t read how someone is saying something. Either way, no big deal. Some of her friends, girls and boys, love the fact that I have her name on the World Championship Title Belt and the United States Championship Title Belt. I also have my Son’s name on the WWE (Spinner) Championship Title Belt and the Intercontinental Championship Title Belt, and I also have my Wife’s name on the ECW (Big Platinum) Championship Title Belt and (of course) the Divas Championship Title Belt.

jesus christ, if my kid said that spinner belt was his favorite, it might have to be my favorite as well.
