Random Rhetorical Rants

I still don't understand why anyone would try to be competitive in Feast or Fired. I've watched enough TNA and wrestling as a whole to know how often title shots come around. I'm not risking my job for one.

In a kayfabe sense, it seems that most wrestlers are casual fans at best.

You’re right. If they took out the “Fired” part of Feast Or Fired, it would make things better. I guess, then just replace the Fired case with the Television Title shot case.

No, the fired case is what made it fun. Its just like putting you're body on the line in a ladder match against 5-7 other people just for a chance at the title match. High risk, high reward. Won't get fired, but that's what sets it a part in TNA.

Bring it back, brother.

I say keep the "fired" briefcase, and make sure that Robbie E is in the match. With any luck at all, he'll be the recipient of that briefcase.

Or have ten people competing for five cases, all for a title shot at the next PPV. No "Fired"-case, but two "Tag Title"-cases for a shared shot. All shots would have to redeemed at the next PPV. Could help through lazy times and create some fresh stories.

Since I couldn’t find the Video Game section, I’ll just use my RRR thread to post my WWE 13 news.

Here is my WWE 13 Universe layout. We have 92 SuperStars / Legends total, which are divided into 4 groups of 23. I initially had Mr. McMahon holding the 1986 WWF World Title (Major Title for Raw Is War and Smackdown!), and the 1987 WWF World Title (Major Title for Raw and Smackdown), as well as the inactive AWA Championship. I didn’t want to use the Minor Title and the Tag Titles just yet, simply because I can’t decide which Champions and Belts to use. I don’t give a $#!+ about the Divas, but I do care enough to organize them as well, into 2 groups of 7. Then again, I might change my mind and remove the Divas later. The rest of the Championships are just “props” for who the Belts specifically belong to. So without further ado, I present King Patrick Star’s Universe.

I’m probably going change it up once in a while, but for now, this is the Championship layout in my WWE 13 Universe.

To quote one of the best, “It's been a while old pal....” What up, Craig-O-Mac??

Welcome to another edition of RRR. I’m the Chairman, Owner, CEO, and King of the World Whatever Federation, and your host, King Patrick Star, but my friends can call me King Patrick. Let’s get right into my mind.

I’d love to see Kane use his old ring lighting and face Sin Cara using his ring lighting. Half the ring in Red and half the ring in Blue. It could have been great for Bragging Rights.

I hope WWE 2K14 will be a combination of everything good in WWE 13 combined with everything good in WWE 12 (the WCW roster). As a matter of fact, I want everyone that was ever in Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 all the way to WWE 13 to be included as playable characters in WWE 2K14.

I figured out what to do with Brock Lesnar and CM Punk at WrestleMania 29. They should face Team Hell No for the Unified WWE World Tag Team Championship.

Coming down the aisle, accompanied by their manager Paul E. Dangerously, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and the Shield … It’s time for the Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment return and WWE debut of the Dangerous Alliance.

The Shield needs more members. When they surround the ring, why doesn’t the “victim” ever escape to the one side of the ring not occupied by a Shield Agent?? I think, if they are going to go with the 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Chamber match, then this is the spot where the 4th member should debut. That 4th man should be (insert NXT Star here).

If I could have handpicked the Shield’s opponents, I would have gone with John Cena, Randy Orton and Dave Batista instead. Hell, I’d probably have Cena, Orton, and Batista actually be the Shield. I think it could have worked in the Ruthless Aggression Era.

After 10 and ½ years of not being at the top, the Rock has won the WWE Championship. Now is the time to bring out the Brahma Bull Belt. I can’t say that enough.

Speaking of Legends who can still go, I think Jericho, Austin, Angle, Flair, and Hogan should all have one more run at the top. It will never…ever…be the bottom line, it’s true. WOOOO, Brother!! It’s still nice to think about though.

Why wasn’t Jerry The King Lawler included as a playable charter in WWE 13?? I get it, but I don’t get it at the same time. The man suffered a heart attack and isn’t included, yet we have tons of others who have passed away that are included. Give flowerss to those you love, while they can still smell them. Long Live the King (not me, Jerry).

So Mark Henry made his return last night. He should lead a new Stable with a serious Tensai and Brodus Clay as his Tag Team back up. For a Mid-Carder, I’d go with a serious Great Khali. If they were all Faces, do you think the Shield would try and stop this injustice?? Rookie bitches!!

Even Booker T. doesn’t know what Title Vicki has in the WWE. Managing Manger of General hold up, what!? I’m telling you, Booker, you did just say that, SUCKA!!

Wade Barrett and Antonia Cesaro should team up and take the Unified WWE World Tag Team Titles. There’s a twist on all this Unification talk.

This year’s Hall Of Fame class so far is full of selections that could headline a class any year. So why all eggs in one basket??

Bruno Sammartino is finally going to be where he belongs. I am going to pre-order that Blu-Ray and I will wear the T-Shirt that it comes with proudly. At this point in time, I would like to thank Triple H. The direction we’re headed with Hunter at the helm looks really bright. Well, what do you know, he really is that damn good!!

Who should induct “Greatest WWE Champion” of all time?? My pick is Kurt Angle. It’s true…it’s damn real!!

Tune in next time. Same Pat-Time. Same Pat-Channel.

WWE 13 Edition.

Why do 2 SuperStars have to be on the same roster / brand to be contenders to either SuperStars’ Brand’s Tag Team Championships. For example, I had Mike Tyson (Raw Is War) and Brock Lesnar (Raw) as a Tag Team, but they are neither contenders for the World Tag Team Titles on Raw or the WWE Tag Team Titles on Raw Is War.

Did anyone else do Cactus Jack vs. Mankind vs. Dude Love??

Did anyone else do Undertaker, Undertaker, and Undertaker vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley, HHH, and Triple H in an Elimination Chamber 6 Man Tag Team match??

6 Man – Tag Team Elimination Chamber match is in the game, put it on WWE PPV. 3MB vs. the Shield.

Why can’t the WWE and THQ just label ALL of the unlabeled items in the game?? SuperStar 1 and Legend 2 and Tag Team 3 and Diva 4 and Mix Tag Team 5…it’s annoying as $#!+!!

I know there are a lot of characters this year, but you can never have enough of a good thing. Can the WWE and THQ, for just one game, come out with every single character ever created from Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 to WWE 13?? I’m being nice by only go as far back as SvR 07.

If we can put more than 2 Championships on a SuperStar, how come we have entrances where a SuperStar can only hold up to 2 Belts?? Can we get 3 to 8 Belt Singles and Tag Team Entrances?? I have Vince McMahon holding the WWF 86, WWF 87, and AWA Titles, but he can only come out with 2 of them. I have Jeri-Show holding the WWE 02 and World 02 Tag Team Titles, but when they make their entrance together, they can only wear one of them.

I would like to be able to use the same Major, Minor, Tag Team and Diva Titles on 6 shows. Why only up to 2 shows??

Brood and Too Cool. Awesome idea, but there’s a little bug with the Tag and Trio entrance set up. Anyone who has tried it, knows what I’m talking about.

When are we going to get a video game roster where we have all 16 members of the Four Horsemen, all 43 members (+/- 1) of the New World Order, all 7 members of D-Generation X, and all 4 members of Evolution?? All 14 members of Nexus / Corre / New Nexus??

Is it really that hard to make 4-on-4 and 5-on-5 matches??

How about 4-man or 5-man entrances??

Next year, I would like the ability to reset parts of the Universe separately.

Jeri-Show-Miz, The Power Trip (Austin, Rock, Jericho 99, and Triple H), The Dangerous Alliance (Punk and Lesnar), and DX (HBK, HHH 99, X-Pac, Nash, and Tyson), are just a few of the Stables in my Universe.

In case you wanted to know, my CAW, King Patrick Star’s finishing move is called the Check Mate!!

Let's see a pic of that belt then Pat, it sounds pretty sweet!

Sorry it took almost a year, Naitch Naitch Naitch. HAHA!!

As soon as the top and bottom shelves in my Toy / Trophy room are repaired, I’ll post pictures of my Jakks and Mattel collection. Don’t hold your breath though, it’s been about 4 years since the first shelf came off and about 2 years since the second shelf came off, and I haven’t attempted to repair it yet.

I do have “King Patrick” nameplates for all of them, except the Divas Title of course, but I just felt that having my name on six Belts would be a bit conceited. HAHA!! Each of the 8 Belts, just like my Wife and 2 Kids, have special / specific meanings to me. Some meanings are shallow (Mid-Card Championship Title Belts), some meanings are deep (World Championship Title Belts), but they all have a meaning to me nonetheless.

Divas – My Wife prefers platinum / silver over gold and, to put bluntly, she’s a Diva.

United States – My step Daughter is a “Real” American, living in "Jack Swagger’s America". Why can’t the WWE see this patriotic gimmick is gold and give Jack Swagger the U. S. Title too??

Intercontinental – If I break this down, I believe my Son is 44% Filipino, 6% Chinese, 25% Italian, 12.5% English, 12.5% Irish, and 100% American. It doesn’t get any more “Intercontinental” than that, right??

Million Dollar – Come on, it’s the Million Dollar Belt. It’s the only Commemorative Belt that doesn’t have a nameplate that I wanted (I am not buying the Commemorative Tag Team Titles, unless I can get them for $50 each). Since the other 3 have the other 3 with their names on it, this one is mine and that’s all that needs to be said.

ECW – The “WWECW” Title. This is my Wife’s favorite design. She said it was because it was Platinum / Silver. Just like how Vince remade ECW in his own image, and just like how he went with a completed different design for the ECW Belt by adding the words “World Wrestling Entertainment” to the main plate and adding WWE Logo side plates, I gave her my last name, and everything else that comes along with it. Being a native a Philadelphia, ECW does hold a special meaning to my life. Like the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers, it doesn’t matter to me who the players were / are / will be, I’m a fan of the Team. I always viewed the Classic ECW Belt and the 2007 ECW Belt as a cleaned up HardCore Title, whereas I always viewed the 2008 ECW Belt fitting to be an “Extreme” Championship in the WWE.

World – The “Big Gold”. This is my step Daughter’s favorite design. She said it was the Crown that got her attention. Let’s face it, it’s the WCW Title, but with the WWE Logo on it, just like my step Daughter is not my kid, but under my care. Don’t get me wrong, it is what it is, and I love her just as much as Vince loved WCW and Vince and I both took both WCW and my step Daughter as our own. Vince unbranded the Belt, and both me and my Daughter agreed to not change her last name.

WWE – The “Spinner”. This is my son’s favorite design, introduced by my son’s favorite SuperStar. The “Son of the Undisputed Title”, coincidentally, this was the design that followed my favorite. Just like how I love to show my son off to the World, this “Bling” Belt shows itself off. I mean, it shines in the dark. I’m pretty sure it has more “stones” than the Million Dollar Belt. I would have loved to have a version that has the 2nd WWE Champion side plate, along with both the Raw and Smackdown side plates, making it a 7 plate Belt, but that’s just being greedy. I just want the best for my Son, even things impossible to attain.

Undisputed – The “Heritage”. To me, this Championship was / is / always will be the “be all end all” of Championships in the world of Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment. It essentially represented the top two companies in the World, World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. In my mind, it also represented the third top company, Extreme Championship Wrestling, to a certain extent. From the moment Ric Flair introduced the first WWF Belt with a nameplate, to the moment John Cena replaced it, in my opinion, all those who held it was the number one (or 1A, at the very least) Professional Sports Wrestler / Entertainer in the World. It is my favorite design of all time and it is mine. My original plan was to be buried with it, but my wife brought up the fact that my son may want it, so now the goal is to turn it into a one of a kind, priceless, family heirloom.

In summation, my Wife is the Extreme Diva, my step Daughter will run United States first and then the World, my Son is Intercontinental Entertainment, and I’m Undisputed Money.

After reading Dave “Ace of Belts” Millican’s interview on WWE.com about his Top 10 favorite Belts, I decided, I’m going to list and discuss my Top 12, from number 12 to number 1.

These are King Patrick’s Top 12 Championship Title Belts Of All Time!!

12 – WWE Divas Championship

divas1.3.jpg

Yes, I know. However, for what it is, it’s technically perfect!! Think about it. The complete Divas logo is the center plate. It’s practically covered in gems. It’s a decent size for Divas. Of course men won’t like it, but it’s not for men, it’s for Sexy, Smart, Powerful Divas. Besides, it’s on the bottom of my list, and we’ve seen worse.

11 – WWE Women’s Championship

womens1.2.jpg

Now this is how you do a Women’s Championship. When they modified it and added a nameplate, I think it then became perfect as I thought there was too much space not being used. It’s not too “Diva”, but not too “Wrestling” like. It’s just a classy piece of history associated with some of the Greatest Female Wrestlers of all time.

10 – WWE Cruiserweight Championship

cw1.jpg

I personally like this Belt better than both the WWF Light Heavyweight Belt and the WCW Cruiserweight Belt. I think this Belt had what the previous two designs were lacking. I think that is due to the color scheme they went with and the amount of plates used. Plus that property plate looks like a nice finishing touch.

9 – WWE Tag Team Championship (Smackdown)

smacktag1.jpg

I liked the Classic WWF Tag Belts. I liked the Attitude WWF Tag Belts. When the Smackdown Tag Belts debuted, I thought it was a good way to pay homage to the previous designs. Making them exclusive to Smackdown, using primarily Blue, made it stand out to me. The only thing I think I would have changed would be to use a Blue Strap instead of Black.

8 – World Tag Team Championship (Raw)

rawtag1.jpg

As soon as this design showed up on TV, I instantly loved it. It felt like an updated design. To me, it was refreshing to see a brand new shape to the Tag Team Belts of old. Making them exclusive to Raw, using primarily Red, made it stand out to me. The only thing I think I would have changed would be to use a Red Strap instead of Black.

7 – Million Dollar Championship

WWF_RepMillionD_Main.1.jpg

This was Bling before the term “Bling” was cool. This was the first Championship that I thought was literally more valuable than the WWF, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Championships combined. I actually use this designed, in “platinum”, as my United States Championship in WWE 13. I always wished Ted made Million Dollar Tag Team Belts when Money Inc. were WWF Tag Champs.

Let’s take a quick commercial break, and we’ll be back with King Patrick’s Top 6 Championship Belts Of All Time!!

Welcome back to King Patrick’s Top 12 Championship Belts Of All Time. In the first part, we had Belts for Women, Belts for Tag Teams, a Belt for SuperStars 220 lbs. or lighter, and a Belt for the “Rich”. Let’s continue with the second half.

6 – WWE United States Championship

usv22.1.jpg

This Belt is represents the United States of America in every way possible. It looks like something Captain America himself would wear, had he stepped foot in a WWE ring. From Old Glory all over the nameplate, to the Bald Eagles on the inner side plates, to Lady Liberty on the outer side plates, this Belt itself should be put in the Smithsonian among other American National Treasures.

5 – WWE Intercontinental Championship

FTC_IC_RepBelt2011_Full.jpg

The Classic design of the WWF Intercontinental Championship Belt had a simple, basic design that I didn’t think screamed “Intercontinental” as much as it should have. When the Attitude Era version of the Belt showed up, I thought that’s how the Intercontinental Championship should look like. What did it for me was the fact that the 7 continents were displayed on the side plates perfectly.

4 – ECW Championship (WWECW / Big Platinum)

ECW_RepChampBeltWhole.4.jpg

Yes, I’m from Philly. No, I didn’t really like the original ECW Belt, in any variation / paint scheme they ever used. I like the fact that they used platinum (silver, for you nonbelievers). It made it stand out from the rest of the Championships in the WWE. To me, it was Vince’s way of saying, “It’s mine now and I’ll make it better than it was.”

3 – WWE Championship (Spinner)

spinv21.jpg

Some of you wouldn’t have this Belt on your list. Most of you wouldn’t have this Belt in your Top 3. Look, it is (but I can’t prove it is) the most selling replica of all time. It hit its target consumer. I don’t care if it doesn’t look like a prestigious Championship, but the fact remains that from 2005 – 2013, it was the “Richest Prize” in Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment.

2 – World Heavyweight Championship (Big Gold)

FTC_RepBelt_WorldHWRed_Full.jpg

This Belt stood the test of time. It was the first Belt to have a nameplate. If you noticed, 11 out of 12 Belts on my list have nameplates. It was the NWA Championship, the WCW Championship, the WCW International Championship, one half of the Undisputed WWF / WCW World Championship, and currently, the World Heavyweight Championship in the WWE. That’s saying something about its beauty.

1 – Undisputed WWE World Championship

und21.jpg

This is my all-time favorite design. This is the Belt that made me start my collection. This is the Belt that made me spend a ridiculous amount of money for 10 years after its introduction. This is the Belt that I wanted to be buried in. This is the Belt that represented Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment. This is the Belt that deserves its own Hall Of Fame induction. I love it so much, that I’m about to drop more money into it next year to have it customized and personalized to be a one-of-a-kind family heirloom. Yes, that’s how much I love it!!

There you have it. Now it’s your turn. What are some of your favorite Championship Belts Of All Time!? I’m your host, King Patrick, and see you next time on…

I’m back with another edition of Random Rhetorical Rants. We’re on the last stop on the Road to SummerSlam, and my question is, “Are we there yet??”

My predictions for SummerSlam 2013 are:
Rob Van Dam, for the first time, will become WWE United States Champion
Big Show and Mark Henry will become Unified WWE World Tag Team Champions
Bella Twins will pull twin magic and get the victory over Natalya
Kaitlyn will get the pinfall victory for her team
Bray Wyatt wins
Damien Sandow wins
Christian will become the 3 time World Heavyweight Champion (7 times World Champion overall)
Brock Lesnar wins
Daniel Bryan will be WWE Champion
Being that Sandow is in a match, I think Orton will cash in

Now, where is the Intercontinental Title match?? A. J. Lee should defend her Divas Title against Kaitlyn and Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston should be in a Triple Threat match against Curtis Axel for the Intercontinental Championship Belt.

With that being said, anyone else excited for the second most important WWE PPV of the year…Night Of Champions!?

Extraordinary Gentleman's Organization. E. G. O. This is yet another example of TNA coming with great Stable names. Main Event Mafia, World Elite, Fourtune, Immortal, Sports Entertainment Xtreme

Seriously, does anyone else think M. V. P. should be in the Aces & Eights?? Even my 5 year old Son asks, “Why are the As & 8s making the 305 sign?? Is M. V. P. the President now??”

I think as long as Dixie’s Wrestling company name is TNA, it won’t be taken as seriously as it could. Now, if they were to change it to Impact Wrestling Championship, I think it could push the alternative to the next level. Can you imagine Hulk Hogan becoming the IWC Champion in 2013!?

They say once one wins the Championship of their respectful Sport, the “hunger” is either less or no longer inside the competitor. I guess that’s exactly how I feel right now about Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment, having all the Championship Belts I wanted to collect. It’s no longer as exciting as it once was.

Exactly!! Imagine Hulk Hogan winning the Impact Wrestling Championship World Championship Title at Bound For Glory. Hulk Hogan is the new IWC World Champion. HAHA!!

I saw this on another Board and thought I’d bring it over here for thoughts and ideas.

Mike Giggs' Munchies said:
Re-Draft the original Brand split.

You're Vinnie Mac in 2001/2. Your roster is bloated as and you really don't have room for them all. So you have the genius idea of the draft! Minus a few guys (Sting, Jarrett, Goldberg) you basically have your pick of anyone around in wrestling. Create your own draft (including GMs) for the night after WM-X8 in as much or as little detail as you want!

In my version of the Inaugural WWE Draft, all of the current Champions can cross brands, as oppose to the original idea where only the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the Women’s Champion were allowed to. When a Champion loses their respective Title, they take the new Champion’s former spot on whichever brand they originally came from. For example, if Triple H loses the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Stone Cold Steve Austin, who, in my draft, is on Raw, Triple H will become a member of the Raw roster and, in turn, Stone Cold Steve Austin can cross brands. Each Brand gets 7 picks each week, over the course of 4 weeks.

I made it as even as possible. Each Brand gets 28 picks (24 SuperStars and 4 Divas). Each Brand gets Championship opportunities against any and all Champions, as opposed to having certain Titles be Brand exclusive.

Let's see your 2002 WWE Brand Extension Draft.

But you didn’t, so let’s see your Draft or take your $#!+ elsewhere. Remember, it’s spam…eat it!!

You know what, just to add this and get it out there, please get off my scepter. I’m not causing any infractions or violating any rules. I’m not creating thousands of threads. I’m just sticking to my one thread in the Spam Friendly Sections in the Wrestling Spam Zone. If you don’t want to contribute to my ideas, spread your $#!+ somewhere else. I’ve been here as long as you. No need to hop on your little pony and act like a little deputy with your oversized cowgirl hat in this here parts of the Zone. Cool, Coco??

I would love if you're the reason Walt bought an M60.

Would leave a lot of fans unsatisfied too. So bonus points for that.

What!?

I would ask for an explanation, but read my sig. Then again, you must memorize my sig by now, since April 2009. You’re cool, Coco, stay that way.

Anyway, now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

This year’s SummerSlam marks the 24th year that I’ve been a fan of this crazy form of Sports and Entertainment. Wow!! And to think, my Mom actually tried to ban Wrestling in our house, and now I have a house full of Leather and Gold.

Is it the return of the Corporation or Evolution or both or neither??

Now that Randy Orton is WWE Champion, that’s 3 sets of WWE Championship Title Belt side plates I have on my wish list. They have The Rock’s, who is one of my favorites of all time. They have John Cena’s, who is one of my Son’s favorites of all time, granted he’s only 5 (great marketing strategy, WWE). They have Randy Orton’s, who is one of my Wife’s favorites of all time…to look at…with the other being Cena. Oh well. I’m still going to get them all.

I really can’t wait for Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship. It’s going to happen and I really hope it’s YES! YES! YES on one side plate and NO! NO! NO! on the other. Who am I kidding, I’m going to get it regardless, even if it’s just a beard.

I think Triple H should continue doing what’s right for business and either recruit Alberto Del Rio, Curtis Axel, and A. J. Lee to this new Super Group, or acquire 2 SuperStars and a Diva to take the Straps from them. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Stable with ALL of the Gold at the same time.

I see A. J. Styles is asking the TNAation (and the WWE Universe and the ROHbots) where he should go next. I think he should stay with TNA. If he goes to the WWE, you know he’ll be paired up with Justin Gabriel or Tyson Kidd.

Impact and Smackdown should be live. I’m pretty sure I have said that before and I’m pretty sure many of you agree with me.

Total Divas is doing pretty good (though I have yet to watch an episode). What are the chances of a spin-off series called Total SuperStars??

Anyone else catch Curtis Axel throw the Intercontinental Belt to the ground?? It sure made me cringe.

Survivor Series 2013 Main Event. The Corporate Evolution (Randy Orton and the Shield) vs. The Paul Heyman Guys (Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Curtis Axel, and Brock Lesnar) in a Traditional Survivor Series 4 – on – 4 Elimination Tag Team match. This, of course, can only happen if CM Punk and Paul Heyman do let bygones be bygones and rejoin forces against the common enemy, Triple H.

It’s been a while now, but I’m still a little pissed off that TNA retired the Television Title. It was my favorite Belt in TNA. Yes, it is because of the nameplate, so??

I am ready for Night Of Champions 2013!! It’s my own personal WrestleMania. To me, it’s like the All-Star game or the Pro Bowl. If the WWE / World Championship Title Unification match and the Intercontinental / United States Championship Title Unification match is ever going to happen, Night of Champions is the perfect PPV for it.

WrestleMania XXX Main Event. Undertaker vs. Undertaker. Brian Lee should come back just one more time for the Undertaker’s final WM match. Plus, he’s the only character in the history of Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment to have an imposter, besides Kane and Sting, right?? We can even have both Kane and fake Kane in their respective corners to add to the effect.

Anyone ever complete a collection of anything and still feel like they’re missing something??

Around this time next year will be my Silver Anniversary as a member of the WWE Universe. Again, WOW!!
