Wrestlers You Liked That No One Else Cared About

Matt Hardy

Yes he's somewhat insane but no one can deny that he was solid in the ring. He may not have been as flashy as Jeff but he still could put on a great match. Heck I'd argue he's not that bad of a talker either, not great but not bad. I still think he should've fueded with CM Punk after Jeff left WWE. I will admit he's not the most stand out guy ever but he was a solid worker and I think people shit on him to much for his antics outside the ring and forget he was actually good.

Shannon Moore

I like the guy, has a unique look and I enjoyed his DILLIGAF gimmick in TNA. I think they should have utilized him more than the Ink Inc tag team and he should have been put in the X-Division where he could have utilized his potential to its highest.

Thurman 'Sparky' Plugg/Bob 'Hardcore' Holly: While his gimmick was goofy at first, Holly was a solid performer & when I was a kid he was a solid rookie coming into one of my favorite eras of wrestling ever. The minute the attitude era(tied for favorite era) hit, very authetically, Holly lost the 'Sparky Plugg' deal & admitted it was because he thought it was stupid(which was very refreshing). He had great Hardcore matches & would get alot better as WWF became WWE in the early 2000's. I thought his match for the title at rumble with Lesnar was great & would have liked to see him even hold the title for even a short period of time. I always thought he was entertaining, a solid wrestler, & a hell of a brawler.

'Mr. Ass' aka 'Badass' Billy Gunn: A classic as a Smoking Gunn, like Holly I enjoyed him as an up & comer as a child. Once he hit DX he basically became one of my favorites by "relation" & had an awesome match with Rock at Summerslam. Billy & Chuck was very funny. And once he hit it solo on Smackdown I thought, like Holly, he could of been in that top tier & would have been a solid transistional champion.

Val Venis "The Big Valboski": Funny gimmick & a great performer. Some of his best matches were just released on the attitude era collection, which was a nice treat. He was a very good IC champion & could have maybe even done more.

Jerry Lynn/Mr. JL: An amazing performer & he should have achieved more in general but especially WWE. Some of his matches will stand the test of time forever IMO.

Hakushi, the Japanse Angel.
The guy was phenomenal and though he couldn't speak a word of english and only had a brief run as a heel pushing Bret Hart to the limit in 1995-1996 b4 going face then leaving back to Japan, what he did do in ring was nothing short of amazing.
Agreed.

Ultimo Dragon: I hear he is a prick but he was my favorite cruiserweight in WWE in the early 2000's.

Mordecai: I just liked the idea of an opposite Undertaker or Anti-Taker but Shawn Michaels was much better at Mania 25.

Skinner: Terrible but kinda funny & I thought the gimmick was a good idea for a heel. Also Bret Hart almost made him look good......almost.

Brooklyn Brawler: Greatest jobber ever???

Honorable Mention:
-Billy Kidman
-Duke 'the Dumpster'
-Paul London
-Chris Masters

I have to say Alex Wright in WCW. I remember him doing that silly dance in the ring, and I remember always enjoying his matches and rooting for him. I also agree with the people that said Hakushi. I always wondered why he didn't go farther in WWE. He really did hang in there well with Bret hart, and I just thought he had a cool look too.

The guy I always loved to watch wrestle when I was growing up was Ahmed Johnson. Being from the UK all WWE shows are broadcast after midnight so i used to get my grandparents to record them everyweek, and every tuesday moning I would getup in the morning and put the record of Raw on and not leave for school until I had seen Ahmeds match. It might seem a bit sad now. but I was young and I still to this day enjoy watching his old matches.

Long before there was Team Hell No, there was Head Cheese. Steve Blackman was kinda cool, but it wasn't until he started teaming with Al Snow and sporting the cheddar that I really respected him as a wrestler. Too bad they didn't go on to have much success as a tag team.

A wrestler I was a fan of who no one else seemed to like was Kenny Dykstra. During the time that the Spirit Squad was around, he was the only member that I liked. I found all of the others to be extremely annoying at the time, even one of them who we now know as Dolph Ziggler. Kenny was the one that stood out the most from within that stable and it showed, when it disbanded Kenny was the only one left on the main roster. He immediately tried to prove himself to Rated RKO which could have been an interesting angle had it played out longer.

His feud with Flair wasn't bad and he was showing potential. Then there was that short lived tag team with Johnny Nitro. I liked them as a team and would have wanted to see them win the Tag Team Championship at some point. That didn't happen, as Nitro would leave soon after to go to ECW where he became John Morrison. There was an onscreen relationship with Victoria where they would have tag team matches against other mixed gender teams on Smackdown for a few months. Kenny was then forced to job to Chuck Palumbo which completely destroyed his momentum until he was released. WWE may have been onto something with Kenny if he had been given a chance and I doubt he will ever return to the WWE. I'd like to see him return and be given another chance although it is very doubtful that it would happen.

I've always had a soft sport for "The Model" Rick Martel. It started at Royal Rumble 91 and his performance hanging in there (I drew him from our own Rumble sweepstake) and liked he always afterwards. Shame they never did that much with his character apart from the Jake Roberts feud.

I always liked Vladimir KOzlov alot. Very dangerous and legit looking guy who came to be the best and not make friends. He had decent matches with HBK, Taker, and Triple H but unfortunately he didn't get much crowd reaction and his main event push kinda flopped.

Also I don't think Savio Vega has been mentioned yet. Pretty decent, cool guy that had a nice run back in the day.

TYLER REKS is another one I like, with the Dreads and he was pretty strong and built well, but he just never got anyway. I think Tyler Reks could've been awesome.

I might be wrong about how over they were with the fans, but I'll also say Molly Holly, Jazz, and Victoria.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention Crush/Bryan Adams!! Very big, intimidating man that never made it too far.
