TNA bookers and management have been taking a big gamble over the last while, in my opinion, by having Hardly as champ and knowing that this has always been a possibility. They've continued to gamble by keeping the title on Hardly, knowing full well that he could be going to jail as soon as this week. Tonight was their chance to "break even" of sorts by getting the title off of him because whether he is convicted or not, the TNA champ will be in court this week on drug charges. Tonight was their night to finally take a stand and at least give the appearance that they care about the OTHER wrestlers in their company who rely on the success of the company to put food on their family's tables. They chose not to. By choosing to keep the title on Jeff Hardly, they have gambled with the fans' respect, and from looks and sound of it, they have lost. I've never said this before but at this point, if they can't make better business decisions than this, TNA deserves to go out of business. I just feel sorry for all those hard workers who would lose their livelyhood just so a drug addict with dilusions of grandeur and self importance can remain champ. What makes this all the more stupid is that Hardly being champ hasn't increased ratings an iota so it could all have been avoided in the first place.
