NFL Wildcard Weekend 2014-15 LD

The thing is, Dallas' winning drive was built around the refs bailing them out. They got 3 calls on that drive alone that kept the drive alive, and 2 of them weren't as blatant as the PI that wasn't called on Dallas the previous drive before by Detroit. Not to mention they missed an obvious holding call on Romo's big TD. Oh, and as mentioned, Dez deserved a 15 yarder as well.

The refs absolutely decided the game. If the correct call is made on that 3rd and 1 then the Lions most likely win the game, end of story.

You can't be inconsistent with your calls. If you're going to call it tight, then call it tight; if you're going to let things slide, then let things slide. But when you're calling in a specific way that favors one team over the other... it's unfair, to say the least.

I guess it doesn't really matter.... Green Bay was going to smack Detroit around again just like they're going to do Dallas next week. I just sympathize with Detroit fans on this. What an awful way to lose.

The refs didn't decide that game in my eyes. To be fair I thought a good chunk of the game was poorly officiated and there was more than 1 pass interference call that Detroit got away with in the early stages of the game that helped get their 2 TD lead in the 1st place so if you discredit the game winning drive then I can just as easily discredit Detroits 99 yard drive because Detroit got away with a lot during that drive.

Reffing is sometimes bad, it happens, I don't like that it happens but it is what it is. All is know is considering how Detroit played in the 2nd half they didn't deserve the win, they weren't robbed of a win, they simply let Dallas take the win from them.

How can you say he didn't have possession WHEN HE CAUGHT THE BALL??? It bounced into the air and right back into his hands. How is that not possession?

The Cowboys got fucked... And I couldn't be happier. Kind of makes me want to rethink this whole Atheism thing. God hates Dallas.

Trent Richardson inactive. I still want to know why the Colts traded a 1st round pick for this JAG.

Didn't help the Browns any. They parlayed that pick and turned it into Johnny Manziel. Ohhh Faaa!!!

Poetic justice for the Cowboys and I couldn't be happier. They won last week in large part due to a horrible call by the officials when they didn't call either defensive holding or pass interference, and the NFL agreed the refs fucked up.

This week they lose because of the completing the process ruling. The rule sucks but the Cowboys did not get screwed at all. By the rule book, that was definitely an incomplete pass. It's a stupid rule, but so is the tuck rule that cost the Raiders in 2001.

It definitely was NOT an incomplete catch, but the rule allows refs wiggle room to make a horrendous call.

He absolutely. OBVIOUSLY took two steps and dove for the endzone.

Dallas got fucked, there's no way around it, that was a complete pass and there was zero evidence suggesting that call should be overturned.

The stupid thing is with the way Green Bay was playing they could have scored after the fact and won anyways but the refs completely fucked Dallas today, no way around it.

As a Cowboys fan I can admit the Hitchens no call last week was BS but it wasn't nearly as game turning and bad as the Bryant no catch today. The NFL really needs to get their reffing situation in order, they are ruining some pretty good games this year.

Lol of course last weeks call was just as big. The Lions would have had a first down in Dallas territory, wouldn't have had the shanked punt, and would have had a chance to get a touchdown to basically seal the game. Even if the refs didn't follow the rule book and gave Dez the catch and they scored, Green Bay would have only been down 1-3 depending on the 2 point outcome and they would have had four minutes to score.

Any Cowboys fan who thinks they won fair and square last week and got screwed this week is a huge hypocrite.

I'm gonna say to you what I said already. It took Dallas 5 and a half minutes last week to turn a 13 point deficit into a 3 point deficit. Detroit offensively didn't do shit in the last 3 quarters so even if that penalty was called chances are they would've got a field goal and Dallas would have had plenty of time to win that game anyways. On top of that Detroit was AHEAD when that call was not made and probably could have converted that 4th and 1, thereby making that no call mean jack shit. Sure it was BS call but it doesn't excuse the shanked punt and 2 lost fumbles that came afterwards. Detroit still had Every opportunity to win despite that blown call and simply didn't, Dallas didn't even get that opportunity today.

Last week was a horrid call but to excuse Detroits shit play after 1 bad call? That's plain embarrassing. The refs might have screwed Detroit but the way they played after that blown call had more to do with that loss than the refs did. Today however, the refs handed Green Bay the game, plain and simple.

As I said in my first post though, if Dallas scored that TD the game was far from over and Green Bay turning it around and still winning was a very real possibility, it's just a shame the refs prevented us from finding that out.

Bad plays are apart of sports unfortunately, I'm mad Dallas lost but glad they showed up to play, I don't like it but at the end of the day Green Bay isn't beating Seattle so no big deal.

I'm a Packer fan, and I know this sounds biased, but the refs got the call right. No one is disputing that Dez caught the ball. But once he hit the ground the ball became ajar, and he lost control of it. By the rule is incomplete.

This loss is on Peyton. You know the Colts are mediocre at stopping the run;

46 pass attempts, 26 passes completed, 56% completion rate, 211 yards

20 rushing attempts, CJ Anderson had 91 yards rushing

Since Peyton is the so called offensive coordinator of his teams, he should have realized that rushing the ball would have been more effective then trying to outgun Andrew Luck and the Colts.

Well played game by the Colts. They deserve credit, but Peyton was horrible.

Cryboys fans didn't have a problem last week, so CERTAINLY they wouldn't have a problem this week, right?

Oh and Jerry Jones can kiss my ass.

As a Cowboys fan I did have a problem last week. The refs made a blatantly bad call last week and a blatantly bad call this week. It was a BS call but you can't blame the fans for taking it, especially if the BS call benefits their team, just like you can't blame the team screwed by the call.

Good point.

I dunno, as a proud Bills fan I am legally required to hate on the Cowboyz, so thats all. You really did get screwed on that call.

I can respect that. More than anything I'm pissed that poor reffing is determining which teams move forward. Even after the Cowboys got big breaks last week from officiating all week all I could think was "I hope the refs are on the ball for the rest of the playoffs". It won't be but right now I just don't want bad reffing ruining great football which they have done more than once during the playoffs

That is exactly what I said when the Bills played the Donkeys back a few weeks ago. BOth their long INT returns called back? hmmm....
