*MERGED* RAW 900th Episode General Discussion

I don't think the Rock will come back im going to be there and thatd be the best thing in the world for me. But i disagree with the people who say they'd publicize the Rock being there I think it would be a suprise and it would be pre taped like when he did that before wrestlemania where he talked about the lashley Umaga match

Kane Crushes HBK's Throat with a Chair
Some of my favorite RAW Moments was right after the Triple H vs Shawn Michaels Hell in a Cell Match they were both in the ring with Eric Bischoff calling a truce, but all of a sudden Kane came out... He beat down HBK... Wrapped a chair around his throat.... Jumped to the second rope and stomped on the legs of the chair crushing HBK's throat. That was honestly one of the most graphic and disturbing things I have seen at that point in time.

Evolution kicks Randy Orton out of the Group
I remember watching this and at this point in time I hated Triple H. He was honestly so good at being a heel and made it believable. I felt bad for Randy Orton during this segment. This moment played with my emotions so much it was not even funny.

Jeff Hardy hits a Swanton Bomb from the scaffold
I remember watching this two years ago and seeing everything happen. Jeff Hardy throwing Randy Orton off of the stage. I remember watching Jeff Hardy climb the scaffold and then being like 15 - 30 feet into the air... I was just thinking in my head, "NO F'N' WAY! DUDE YOU'RE GOING TO KILL YOURSELF!" Then he did it and I nearly jumped out of my bed! I screamed out, "HOLY S***!" I remember telling EVERYBODY around me about it! It was honestly one of those moments that made you get back into wrestling again.

The Birth of the Rated R Superstar
This is where it all began when Edge became the Rated R Superstar! He turned in the Money in the Bank briefcase winning the WWE Championship. He gave us memorable moments such as the LIVE SEX skit. He gave us matches like one of the GREATEST Hardcore Matches against Mick Floey. He gave us moments like being thrown into the river or whatever you call it. This is where Edge was at his best along side Lita! This is where Edge solidified himself as a Main Event player!

The Nexus Invasion
It was honestly a moment where you just sat there wondering if you just saw what you did transpire in front of your eyes. It was one of them moment where you just sat there looking at your television (even after it went off) with your jaw dropped and eyes wide thinking, "Did that really happen?" It was WELL played out! Nobody was left standing and this angle brought a buzz back to the wrestling community honestly one of the greatest RAW Moments!

Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin - Gold Rush Tournament; 2005
Shawn Michaels vs John Cena - WrestleMania Rematch
Trish Stratus vs Lita - Women's Championship
Undertaker vs Jeff Hardy - Ladder Match; Undisputed Championship
Triple H vs Chris Benoit - 60- Minute Iron-Man Match; World HeavyWeight Championship

These aren't the best moments, but just a few that stick out in my head the most! Another Honorable moment is when Kane Chokeslammed Matt Hardy off of the stage or when Kane did it to Gene Snitsky. Like I said it isn't some of the best moments, but just a few that stick out in my mind!

The Rock returning WWE is something wrestling fans really need to get over, because it's just not going to happen. Would it be cool to see Rock return? Yeah, it sure would, and I know everyone would go nuts over it. But if he ever returns, WWE would be sure to hype his return as much as they possibly could. Believe me, WWE isn't going to miss out on a big ratings boom.

Iv watched Raw sincce i started so its really hard for me to pick anything..BUT The nexus invasion was very memorable..

Another of my favorite is when I think it was Stephanie hanging from the undertakers sighn during the whole kidnapping angle..Not just the wrestling but the story liens were so awsome back then...

And of course anything HBK was involved in...

i think for the 900th episode I want something really special I mean this is 900th episode it has to be special, something we're all going to be talking about at the 1800th episode and how they can top that.

We've had heel turns, amazing matches, returns, we have had it all on RAW, now its time to recreate that for one night only

I'm going to be there, so I hope it's big. I have no idea what it could be, but it won't be Rocky. As stated before, they'd utilize a lot of hype, unless it's a 30 second pre-taped promo. It will be interesting to see if there are any title changes or whatnot, given how close we are to Night of Champions. I'm guessing there will probably be some "big" announcements, but I'm not really getting my hopes up. They will probably try to "wow" us with unexpected stuff, but I doubt it's a huge return. It will be nice if they just put on an entertaining show with some nice surprises, that doesn't follow the format of any recent Raws or is composed of a series of repetitive Nexus beatdowns.

In terms of favorite Raw moments, one of my very favorites is when they had HBK vacate the IC title in 93 and they held the 20 man battle royal, with the last two people remaining competing for the title the following week. Rick Martel and Razor Ramon won and put on a hell of a match. There was another night in 98 when DX (the stable) won a bunch of titles all in one night. I forget who won what, but it was very amusing, and as a teenager, I marked out big time. Kudos to whoever mentioned the Edge vs. Christian match from this May. That was truly epic and highly underrated.

Ok guys, the title is obviously talking about hunter, and after earlier they posted hunter is advertised for septemeber 5th, the 900th raw is taking place tommorrow night, there are obvously surprises planned, is the king of kings coming back? OK ill give my opinions, i kind of lean both ways, but im leaning more towards yes, maybe out of fanism, but im seeing it plausible.

No- They already have the main event planned for NOC, so even if hunter was to come back, unless being a voice-type person like everyone has talked about, what would he do, come back for one night, and then have no momentum, come on hes triple h, would he let that happen?

Yes-They need something big to happen, so they can make it a big show, there is no 3 hour special, no special events are planned, and they have no other way to pop ratings, unless all of a sudden at the begginning of the show they talk about there will be a big surprise announced at the end of the night, pulling ratings, and letting there be a mass audience for when triple h finally arrives from injury.

What do you guys think?

Well he's supposed to be out for a while with injuries until possibly December, so I sure as hell hope you don't aspire to see him wrestle a match on the 900th. MAYBE he'd come back and cut a one night promo. But I hope not. I'd rather the WWE waits for Hunter to appear on tv until he's ready to make an attack or match. Then the hype would be WAY bigger.

I think you could be onto something. This is a big three hour Raw and when they do these shows they usually like to pull off something big. I see him either being the GM or being the man behind Nexus. Either one would allow him to be on the show but not have to wrestle while he recovers.

It's NOT a 3 hour Raw. It's only a 2hr timeslot. Though it is a special night so we could see him in some capacity. He will not wrestle, so here are possible scenarios.

-He comes to the ring and cuts some feel-good promo thanking the fans for their support over the 900 episodes, maybe cracking some jokes in the usual non-funny HHH way.

-He interupts a heel promo, maybe The Miz just for something different. They jaw at each other, but nothing that amounts or relates to any storyline.

-He is revealled as the mastermind behind Nexus, which would be good at first, but really it would take away alot of the credibility of the Nexus members especially Wade Barrett.

-He is revealled as the annonymous GM....umm wake me up when that is over. HHH is not terrible on the mic, but he's not great either. His best stuff is when he's with DX(Attitude) or when he's a heel. But as a supposed unbiased GM? Let's just say I'd rather watch Evan Bourne in a match against Santino.

I don't know who told ayone it was a 3-hour show but it's not it's only two. Tripple h coming back for the 900th is probably gonna happen just to cut a promo and remind people he still exists. The only way he is goiong to be able to get back in the ring is if he is the general manager or the mastermind behind Nexus. Other than that he will make his appearance and be gone again until his injury heals.

I can see Triple H maybe coming back on the 900th RAW and being named special referee for Night of Champions, then having some outcome in the result of the match. I have a strong feeling we will se him tomorrow.

Raw’s 900th looks to be shaping up really nicely and I, for one, cannot wait to see what thr WWE have planned for us all to sink our teeth into.

Personally, I think the WWE really need to give us something big for the show to be deemed a success now. The fact of the matter is that the WWE have built up this show over the last couple of weeks and if it is just going to follow the same formula that shows of the last couple of weeks have, then they are going to end up with a seriously disappointed fanbase, I hate to say it but I feel as though the WWE really need to give us something to get us talking. I have never seen these boards so quiet as I have over the last couple of weeks and it is because the WWE are not giving us anything to talk about.

However, at the 900th episode, I think they have the ideal chance to get people talking again and we will need to see how it all pans out,

Bringing in the Rock would be a sure-fire way to get us all talking again but I am keeping my expectations low for obvious reasons. However, I do feel that if it is ever going to happen, then it needs to be right now. Bringing him in as a GM or the leader of Nexus might be an option but I would just like to see him brought into have a feud with someone like Chris Jericho or the like.

That being said, I don’t think he will be there tomorrow. Bringing in Triple H would be a mark out moment for me but with Sheamus tied up with the 6-pack challenge leading into Night Of Champions, I don’t think that it makes much sense to bring him back right now. It really is a pity because I would freak the fuck out if his music hits.

Right now, I have high hopes of what the WWE can give us on the celebrations of it’s 900th show. Whether that is The Rock or Triple H or neither, I am hoping for a memorable show.

I have three favorites My first favorite moment from Raw is when Vince McMahon appeared on WCW Monday Nitro i always watched both Nitro and Raw i had two tvs set in my room one would be on Nitro the other on raw and when i put on Nitro first and saw Vince McMahon i was like WTF then when i turned on raw and saw Vince on it and WCW at the same time i was like WTF again to me it was perhaps the greatest single Raw moment ever

My second favorite Raw moment was wen they took they last 30 minutes of the Raw after WM and gave it to Ric Flair for his send off to me that was a fitting end to the career of perhaps the greatest wrestler of all time of course now that hes in TNA its been diminished but thats for another discussion

My third favorite Raw moment was the Nexus invasion I was literally speechless the entire time that it happened it was only after Raw went off the air that i found words and the first words out of my mouth were what the hell just happened it was a turning point for WWE and i hope that unlike the alliance angle they draw this angle out and let us actually enjoy this angle.

For me..

Bret vs Austin segment when Bret gets attacked in the ambulance... not only great drama but comedy.. the whole bret anti USA was awesome TV

Im excited for Raws 900th show. I was at the 15th Year Anniversary Show and I had some awesome seats. The show was spectacular, especially when Hulk Hogan came out.

The 900th episode is gearing up to be great as well. I cant wait to see which Old School wrestlers make their appearances and if the rumors of a Triple H return are accurate this show will be epic. Though if he does return I dont see it making much sense from a storyline perspective, as they just set up the Six-Pack Challenge, but oh well. We'll just have to wait and see.

Does anyone think Wade Barrett's "Nexus Big Picture" will be unveiled on RAW tomorrow night? Hopefully it's Triple H coming back. Him announcing he will special guest referee in the Six-Pack Challenge. Then at NOC, he helps Barrett win the Gold. Then joins Nexus as the leader. But I doubt this would happen because last time Triple H was in a group as the leader and a member won the championship they kicked his ass. "Ahem" ORTON.

My favorite match in RAW history has to be Shelton Benjamin vs. Shawn Michaels. It was one hell of a match with the crowd at the edge of their seats and the end of it was just fantastically put together. My favorite moment has to be when DX had shit dropped all over Shane and Vince at the top of the stage.

So many great things have happened on Raw it's hard to remember everyone of them.

We had the "This is your life" segment with Mankind and The Rock, that had me laughing so hard, that's one moment I will not forget.
Another great moment from RAW that sticks out to me is when DX invaded WCW Monday Night Nitro,They showed up with the army truck and camo. Great stuff right there.
Let us not forget, RAW is the show that introduced us to Mr. Socko, Mankid paid Vince a visit at the hospital to cheer him up and at one point he pulled out socko, a star was born(or a gimmick).

Raw has also provided us with some really great wrestling action. One match that always stands out in my head when I think of RAW is Mr Perfect vs Ric Flair. This was the end of Flairs first stint with the then WWF. The two put on what I consider the best loser leaves town match in Raw history.
The steel cage match between Angle and Benoit was just insane. One of the craziest things I ever saw was Angle pulling out that moonsault off the cage.
I don't think words can do this match justice, so just watch it for yourself.

Owen Hart and The British Bulldog put on a classic match to deiced the first ever European Champion. I feel this match rivals the one Bulldog had with Bret at Summer Slam '92.

There are so many great moments in the history of RAW and I expect a lot more to come.

I think now is the perfect time to get rid of the stupid mystery GM and start moving the Nexus angle to the next level. Over the last few weeks WWE has been in stand by mode and it's starting to bother me, this is the 900th episode of RAW, it's finally back live after all these taped shows, GIVE US SOMETHING INTERESTING TONIGHT!!

There needs to be a title match! whatever title, have it a good, meanigful, 20 minutes minimum match, and logical. Have triple h appear. have austin and rock at least in the audience. i wish it was 3 hours but its not. promote the 6 pack challenge, i pray orton's not hurt, and have brand vs brand, start feuds, end some, make it awesome, i know it will be.

my top moments are, ( i starting watching late 2007)
jeff leaping off the equipment.
the whole 2009 orton and triple h feud
when kofi leapt off the equipment in madison square garden and that whole episode
all the 3 hour shows, and the rafts
the nexus invasion. i thought it was for real, didnt see it coming, and thought they were going to really destroy cena.

In my opinion they should acknowledge the 900th episode but play it along like normal. Maybe some fanfare but not this huge, earth shattering event. Save that for the 1000th episode would would be a much bigger deal.

Sorry for the Double, it wouldn't let me edit for some reason that I believe to be my PC.

Anyways for tonight:

Credit = PWI

The main event for tonight's Raw, the 900th episode, will be a 5-on-5 elimination match with Sheamus, John Cena, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Edge vs. The Nexus team of Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Heath Slater, Michael Tarver and Justin Gabriel.

Awesome.

I dont want to say I expect something big to happen because I dont want to be let down, but I would really like for something big to happen.

Being that it is the 900th episode, I would think they would do something to make it memorable. The main thing I'm hoping for right now is some sort of return, whether it be HHH, The Rock, SCSA, or even HBK. The next thing I hope we get is the announcement of the GM. I think its about time we know who it is and as long as its a shocker, I can definitely see them revealing the GM tonight. I also wouldnt be completely surprised by a title change tonight. Not the WWE Championship, but maybe the tag titles or US title. I dont think it will happen with NOC coming up, but I would be surprised.

Lets just hope for a great, memorable episode.

Like i said before i dont think anything very memorable will happen. The main event sounds to be a pretty good one. And i wouldnt be suprised either to see some title change..not the WWE championship, or not the Diva's..And i dont think the US title will either, (dont see the Miz loosing), but maybe the tag titles, yea i could see that...

Rock wont be there, SCSA (maybe)...he does have a movie to promote. HHH is a probable. But they wont be announcing the GM (i dont think) i dont believe Vince knows who it is unless he reviels HIMSELF as the gm...
