*Merged* Justin Bieber at Wrestlemania Discussion

Will Bieber performing at WM 27 be a classic WWE moment

  • Up there with Hogan slamming Andre & HBK's retirement.

  • As memorable as Kid Rock's performance at Wrestlemania 25.

  • Excuse me, I need to throw up.

It depends, if he were to perform during the main event then no.

On a more serious note, no it won't stop me from buying because personally I never like any of the people that play at Mania. All I have to do is not watch it or make fun of him, change channels, talk to my friends and wait till it is over. There are plenty of things to do while he is lip singing.

It would definately rate a ppv buy for me if Justin Beiber got tombstoned by Kane.

Other than that happening, the show is about WRESTLING - it doesn't matter who sings the damn national anthem or whatever he's going to do on that night.

I actually don't give a cow's shit if he's performing at Wrestlemania or not. I would still buy the PPV. It's one thing to hate him, but to let him get in the way of watching the biggest wrestling event? That's bullshit. I'm not necessarily a fan of Justin, I don't hate him, but I will still watch Wrestlemania. I'll just go take a shower or something while he's singing. Lol.

If you havent heard the kid sing, just throw on any girl singer and he sounds exactly like that. I completely hate Justin. He sounds like a girl and i cant wait cause by 2012 he will be a nobody and no one will care about him anymore, similar of what happened with the Jonas Brothers. But no it wont change my mind on buying the PPV, but i WILL mute him while he's "trying" to sing.

I think the price tag of $55- $65 along with maybe a mediocre card are more important reasons why I or someone else wouldn't buy WrestleMania 27. WWE has usually had some duds perform America the Beautiful at the start of the show. I usually fast forward or take a piss/smoke break when anyone is singing in any sporting event anyway. At least Bieber is relevant and a pop star. I don't know why he is so popular, but he is a big name for WWE to have on the grandest stage of them all.

I don't know if the fans will cheer for him or not, but its only a 5 minute performance. It is kinda weird that Bieber being a Canadian and all is chosen to sing America the Beautiful. It's great exposure for WWE, but I don't think it will influence buys one way or another.

I seriously can not believe this is a legitimate topic. I usually ignore such stupidity, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. Anyone who says they’re not going to order mania solely because of Justin Bieber is full of it. He is going to take about three minutes to sing America the Beautiful BEFORE THE SHOW EVEN STARTS. What is the big deal? His performance will be forgotten before the bell rings for the opening match. The fact that this is even a discussion (I’m a little disappointed in myself for participating in it) is ludicrous. I never even heard of Justin Bieber until yesterday. I never heard of Kim Kardashian until WM24. Neither has any influence on me. I definitely would have ordered WM17 even if the Backstreet Boys were there. I will order WrestleMania for the action and drama of WWE regardless of what celebrity decides to show up. You people who are complaining about this kid are probably jealous because the girls you’re after are obsessed with him while they don’t even know you’re alive. Get over it.

My daughter loves the little bastard. Me and my son and even my daughters, plus my wife will always buy it. But when I mentioned to my daughter that he might be there, she got all excited and was saying how we HAVE to order it.

I laughed and said, we will be getting it anyway, with him, or hopefully without him LOL.

So, as far as my house goes, having him at Mania is already creating the type of buzz and anticipation that WWE is aiming for.

***I don't see why him being there would make someone not buy it. Unless they are an idiot... It's not like it is Bieber Vs. Orton in the Main Event. He truly has NOTHING to do with the show, besides his fans seeing him perform or something for a short amount of time.

I hate Justin Bieber like hell. I honestly think WWE is ******ed for wanting him. They think they can gain a younger audience. More like younger girls for god sakes. But that won't change my opinion on to buy it or not. I never miss WrestleMania. I heard he was only singing America The Beautiful. Not doing Baby, or his other crap songs. SO I guess thats one thing in the fresh air zone. But no to your question. WrestleMania is WrestleMania. I love WrestleMania, Justin Bieber can't possibly ruin it with one segment.

I'm not a fan of his music but I will admit he can sing very well. Now if he was coming on Wrestlemania and singing one of his songs then maybe I wouldn't buy it. Anyone who wouldnt buy the show over who is singing the national anthem is a absolute idiot.

of course a bunch of people are going to get mad at justin bieber being at wrestlemania, im sure theres gonna be some rants. me personally, i dont give a damn if he's just singing america the beautiful, as long as its just that i'm good, hopefully he doesnt also make the theme song for the ppv and also perform that. im not a hater of this kid, it's just not my type of music, and plus his music isnt really fit for wrestling period,
so bieber wont affect the quality of wrestlemania as long as its just america the beutiful he's singing and not that one time baby crap (no offense intended)
oh yeah and either way it wouldnt prevent me from watching wrestlemania, wrestlemania is always good to watch. if he did do more then america the beautiful then theres a chance it may affect the quality of the show, as long as he doesnt get 15 minnutes like kid rock at wm 25

Somebody call a doctor...because Wrestlemania just caught Bieber Fever!!!

I'm no Justin Bieber fan, but to say that a mere 5 minute appearance from him would make you not watch the biggest show of the year is just idiotic. He's just going to sing America the Beautiful so as long as he doesn't pull a Kid Rock, I have no issue with it. If you don't like it, just mute it. Simple as that.

If anything, I feel more sorry for poor Justin. He'll be so busy dodging rogue water bottles thrown by idiots that he may not even get to finish his performance.

Justin Bieber's presence at WrestleMania is virtually nil. He'll be performing America The Beautiful, which is a WrestleMania tradition, so I don't see what the big issue with this is. Anyone that wouldn't buy WM just because of the WWE's choice of recording artist that sings America The Beautiful at the event is someone that probably had no interest in purchasing the show anyway.

But, of course, this thread is essentially a magnet to all those that consistently want to post the various lame "WWE is just a show for kids" nonsense. They don't need a reason to say it, presenting them with demographic ratings and facts does no good and they're simply going to say it regardless.

If Justin Bieber was in a wrestling match, then I might have a little problem with his presence at Wrestlemania, but I seriously don't think him singing America The Beautiful should be used as a reason to not buy Wrestlemania 27. It'll be quick, and I'm sure we'll all forget about it after a couple weeks have passed. This really isn't a big deal at all, and anyone who thinks it is needs to get over themselves.

I don't particularly see WWE trying to get him to just sing America the Beautiful. I see him getting the same kind of role that Kid Rock had the other year, which was a waste of time in my opinion, and I like Kid Rock. But I hate Justin Bieber...I'm more likely to watch a stream of Wrestlemania next year anyway.

He is going to get some major heel heat. Except from the little kids and women. Kind of like Cena. But really, who cares? It's WrestleMania, any wrestling fan is going to watch it, no matter how bad the opening singer sucks. It's like two minutes anyway. But it would be cool if they had the Big Show or Great Khali squash him.

I always thought Bieber was a bit of a douche but honestly he would probably be a good fit for the WWE at this point. Similar to Jonathan Taylor Thomas at WMXI. I picture Bieber doing a photoshoot with John Cena, performing a song or two, being in someones corner for a match, backstage antics. Eh, I'm indifferent to it. But it makes sense. I do wish they'd provide something more compelling for the intellectual fans too though.

I'll still order the PPV, but I can guarantee you that when Bieber comes out, that'll be my time to go and fix some refreshments, or take a lengthy dump.

JB might be a complete tool and just a complete ******,but its not going to make me skip wrestlemania 27.i would only have an issue if he was in a stupid gimmicky match with hornswoggle but really, ill just go out or go on the computer while he's singing. That or i might watch a pissed off 70,000 arena of people throw everything at JB that isnt glued to the floor the first minute in.Either way,if im not going to watch WM 27,its going to be because they half-baked the storyline, not cause of JB.

Pardon me but a lot of you guys are little bitches. "I'd buy earplugs!", "He has no talent whatsoever blah blah", "wahhhhhhhh". Shut up. Whether you like his music or not doesn't matter, he obviously has talent. I don't listen to his music, I don't prefer his style or his voice for that matter. But I'm not some insignificant obnoxious douche bag that thinks the kid has no talent. Get your head out of your ass.

Again, if you planned on buying Wrestlemania but then changed your mind because Justin Bieber is going to be there then you are an idiot.

All I know about justin bieber is kids love him and he does something with his hair. If it aint 1990 or earlier I prolly don't knot it too well. Aside from that he would have no effect on my decision to bu WM. I think hed be a good selling point seein as how the WWE is pg and he is the definition of pg bring em together and fill vinces and biebers pocket. Good way to make money.... cater to yer fans ie the kids.

I'm going to buy it if he's on there or not. Hell, I'd buy it if they had Roseanne Barr sing the national anthem. It doesn't matter to me. Sure I'll get up, go to the kitchen and get something to drink but I'm not going to not order it because I don't like the guy. That is a lame excuse for anyone not to order it. Its not a fucking concert for fucks sake. Its wrestling. Maybe if he was in the main event for the heavyweight title I could understand the bitchiness but he's going to perform for five to ten minutes for fucks sake. Stop making a big deal out of it.

just listened to him on youtube because until the post on wrestlezone came up saying he mite be at mania i honestly didnt even know who he was never heard of him b4 yesterday hes not my style of music dont care for his music to each his own some like it some dont if you dont that is no reason not to buy WM i for one will buy it regardless of who sings i could care less who sings for me WM is about the wrestling the matches the athleticism the grandness of it all it is Wrestlemania the biggest night of the year for wrestling when they go all out and put on the best performances that they can who cares who is singing watch for the wrestling or dont watch it at all

Absolutely not. I am not a big fan of Aretha Franklin, Boyz II Men and Ashanti but just because they sang the American National Anthem did not make me want to not buy the show. If Beiber comes out to sing the National Anthem and goes, that's great. If Beiber is involved in a few backstage skits on top of his singing duties, that's fine. If Beiber is on RAW in the run-up to WM and starts to take focus away from the storylines, then that's what would piss me off.

Last i checked, Justin Beiber has not raised an army of undead Nazis to rape every young child on the African continent. He is just a talented singer who will appeal to the PG audience and will probably do a fine job of singing one song and drawing a good reaction from the crowd. The National Anthem spot is a very small part of Wrestlemania for me, as i am English and don't really give a shit what song is sung before the opening match.

Seriously you would have to be a terrible wrestling fan to not buy wrestlemania because of a kid singing , unless as dum dum dudley says i
would be only annoyed if hes somehow added into the storylines at mania
(justin beiber vs the big show) lol
i highly doubt that will happen
AT MANIA

Beiber=piss break
no worries

Will it stop me from buying it HELL NO will I watch his perfomance HELL NO!!!!!!!!!! I cant Stand him but if he does perform at WM well there my piss break and refreshmant refill

Ummm, maybe.

I think I'm not as much a mega-fan as many others on this board... Wrestlemania's the only PPV I order, and I'm just not willing to shell out 50 bucks for a wrestling PPV, so once a year, I convince 10 or so of my friends to have a drunken Sunday night watchin wrasslin and drinkin beer, and also chipping in a couple of bucks--it ends up costing me like 15 bucks and everyone else like 3-4 bucks.

Now, I love WWE, but it really has fallen off a bit. I say this, not because I don't enjoy it, but because it's really kind of an embarrassing thing for my friends to do once a year. Ten years ago, heck, everyone would have been down. Lately, though, comments like "this show is still on?" come up, and every year it takes something like shawn michaels vs undertaker to get everyone to calm down for a second and enjoy the ppv without too much scrutiny.

justin bieber, though? i think that might be the straw that breaks the camel's back. i really don't think i could convince anyone to come and pitch in a couple bucks to fund the ppv if justin fucking bieber is going to perform. and again, i'm sure as hell not going to pay for the whole thing, especially if, yeah, 30 minutes of it are going to be devoted to the little shit. so. yeah, if the kid's performing, that might be it for me.
