Well everyone saw this coming, everyone wanted it and guess what they got it.

The Canadians face off for the first time at WrestleMania for the coveted World Heavyweight Championship.

This match should be a great technical match with a great build up to it, Edge decided who he would pick rather quick but what the hell I am still happy , this match should be amazing.

Who do you want to Win ?

Who do you think is going to Win ?

Discuss.

I want Jericho to win I like Jericho more than Edge only because the title is on the line. It this wasn't for the title I would definetly go for Edge so he can get his retrubution. If the WWE wants this fued to be successful I think Y2J should win to further put on the fued so Edge could say something like I'm not giving up until I beat Jericho for the world title or something like that.

This is also the first time I can remember two Canadians headlining a Wrestlemania against each other. Aside from that, this match has had a great, long subtle build up ever since Edge went down with the original injury. In what is becoming a great trend in the WWE lately, I have no clue who is going to win, so I am just going to sit back and enjoy.

Edge wins the ME and all the sudden the winner from MITB (Christian) comes out and cashes in. Oh that be awesome in a dream world probably but I can dream!

I think this match has a good possibility to steal the show. Even though we saw it coming from a mile away once Edge made his return at the Royal Rumble. I'm surprised that the belt was put on Jericho, but it made sense and somehow they needed it off of Taker's waist so we can have another HBK / Undertaker classic.

That would be nice if they did the total swerve and had Jericho retain the title. Sadly, though, it looks like a transitional reign for him, and he will do the job.

Since Edge came back at the Rumble, i kept saying that my dream main event for Mania would be Edge and Jericho. These guys are gonna have one hell of a great match. They have the potential to have a truly great match and i for one cant wait

fuck hell yeah. This could be one of the great Wrestlemania classics. 2 great wrestlers, 2 great workers, 2 brilliantly contrasting characters in their prime, going at it, with an awesome storyline, a good buildup, and no doubt one hell of a match at the end of it. I expect Edge to win and cement his face turn (or at least tweener), but this isn't about the result. This is about the match.

finaly the wm26 have the perfect main event its been a while since last time when i was so excited this match could be the match of the night both good wrestlers , both with good mic skills , both have charisma , both can make any match good match no matter what they are facing , this will be really classic i hope it will get at least about 40 minutes air time , i want edge to win and i think he will win because he has never won "big one" at wrestlemania and now its hes chance

I see Edge winning... and, well... same as weird86 i want christian to win MITB (well it can be Kofi too IF HE WILL QUALIFY.) and if he would cash it in after Edge wins... oh my god that would be one of best mania's ever!:D

I want Edge to win,Because he will get his renvenge for all the crap the Jericho talk about him.I also think that this match will be the match that will steal the whole show.

And Shit I think that Edge will win it,Its been about 6 months without seening Edge.Dont get me wrong both of these stars are alwasy great champions when they had a strap aorund there waist,But its been a longtime without seeing Edge with no strap or seeing Edge compete at all,I really want ot see edge as the champ agian I kind of miss that.

I'm a little torn on the outcome of this match!
Jericho is my absolute favorite!!!
I wish his match with Edge would go on last, but that means he'll lose the title....I hope he retains.

a: I think this should be the last match at W-Mania
--BUT, that means that Jericho loses his newly-won title

b: If this match does NOT go on last, Jericho has a great chance at retaining!

I predict if this match, goes last: EDGE will win
If this match does NOT go last: Jericho retains

Remember THE ROCK always had short title reigns...there reason was "the fans prefer to see THE ROCK chase the title".

I remember THE ROCK beating Kurt Angle at No Way Out for the title and then losing the title a month later to Stone Cold at W-Mania...JERICHO may have the same outcome!!!

These are definately the two guys who I wanted to see compete for the WHC at Wrestlemania. This just has the makings of a great match. These two are both great in the ring and they have history. Not to mention both are excellent on the mic and their feud could get very interesting over the next few weeks.

I think Edge will win because Wrestlemania is usually face friendly when it comes to the main events. Also, this would allow the feud to continue as Jericho can use his rematch clause, unless a couple of posters ahead me are right and Christian cashes in.

As for who I want to win, I actually think they both deserve a big Wrestlemania win. Jericho hadn't won at Wrestlemania since WM17 until last year, and even then he was knocked out by Mickey Rourke. Also, Edge has lost his last three Wrestlemanias, including two world title matches. So, the beauty of this match is I'll be satisfied no matter who wins, but I'd prefer to see Edge win as I feel it creates a better scenario after Wrestlemania.

You know something, this will be an awesome fucking match. The near falls and spots are going to be phenomenal, and the storytelling…oh the in ring storytelling has me drooling at the mouth. Edge will get the clean win here, with his 1st title win as a face, and at ‘Mania nonetheless. I can’t see Jericho getting the win. He can win a World Title, but he can’t defend it very well. Jericho will build himself up well enough though as a heel to make his big fall at ‘Mania be very entertaining. Could we see some Y2J traits making a return? Last’s nights RAW makes me think I’m not too far off. I’ve been hard on the WWE, but they are building Wrestlemania the way it should be.

My only disappointment this year is that we will not be crowning a 1st time world champ.

I love the discussions earlier in this thread that have Christian winning MITB and cashing in on Edge the same evening. Epic right there. With them having a MITB PPV they need the WM MITB winner to cash in early...

This should be a good match, but it shouldn't close the show. This should be the third to last match of the evening. Edge and Jericho are good, they just aren't close the Show good. I personally enjoy both immensely, but soemthing tells me that these two just aren't going to be able to keep the crowd going for the type of match both wrestle.

again, a technically sound match as they get, but likely to be out shadowed by the other two matches already announced, and thus doesn't deserve to close the show.

Well I knew the match was coming since the Royal. Many people disagreed, but the WWE has given Edge a lot of freedom in the WWE, and it has paid off extremely well, as he is one of the most popular characters on the card.

It was pretty obvious Chris Jericho was going to be chosen, just from a Keyfabe point. No way Edge goes over Batista easily, while Jericho doesn't seem like much of a problem. But who benefits from the Wrestlemania win out of these two? Edge has won the title hand over fist, and Jericho loses the title so often, it doesn't really matter.

There is still a chance this match might be changed. A third man perhaps could be brought into it. At first I thought Christian, to give the fans one hell of a match. But that wont happen with Christian being in the MITB. So I am led to believe Triple H might partake in the match.

Hmm that is a good idea that I never thought of. I was discussing with mates earlier about the fact there is a MITB match, and a pay per view for it. Cashing the briefcase in earlier would be a great way for Christian to get his title reign, and make it as believable as possible.

But to make it really fun, Christian could always make like Rob Van Dam and cash it in before the match to gain respect.

This has the potinal to be the best match of WM26
but i see Jericho winning but the MITB winner cashing it in after the long fought match
hopefully it being either Christian or somebody nobody was expecting to win
which would be a great push for one of the mid carders
and push them into Main Event Status

for example = Kofi , R-Truth
IMO i would love for Kane to do it

Well this seems like great match, I am a fan of both guys so I really don't know who is going to win, I tend more to say edge sinc ehe has just comeback and it seems right, but it also depends like someone else said, of the palcement of the match on the card.

Both guys deserves avictory at Wrestlemania and to be on the main event but who knows, this year the 3 matches announced could very well be the Main event.

Edge is going to win this one. I have no doubt about it. WWE is going with the face turn for Edge, and him beating the man who has been bashing him for months while he was injured would just be the icing on the cake. It's obvious this is where WWE wanted to go, ever since Edge got injured a while back, they have been setting the wheels in motion for this feud. I can remember going to a Smackdown taping in July. Edge cut a promo on Jericho, and pretty much said that Jericho would be his first target upon his return.

Edge should win this. He's never really had that defining Wrestlemania moment, and I think Mania 26 will be his night.

I have been looking forward to this match ever since it was rumoured months ago.

Two of undoubtedly the best wrestlers today going at it at Wrestlemania will be awesome. Now as to who is going to win I personally believe it will be Edge. Edge hasn't had a Wrestlemania win since 22 (I believe) and even that wasn't against a top guy. I really think it is time for Edge to take his spot at the top, at Wrestlema, and hold on to the championship for a long time. Of course though that leaves Jericho. It is a shame that if I am write he is just a transitional champion because I believe Jericho really is a star who hasn't really had the top exposure.

All in all I am really looking forward to this match and Edge coming out on top.

Well. This match will be awesome.

However, this match shouldn't close the show. It should be 3rd from the end, followed by Batista/Cena followed by Taker/HBK. Taker/HBK will have everyone leaving happy, no matter who wins. Batista/Cena will hopefully end with Batista winning, so we need someone to win that will have a GREAT match and will keep the crowd engrossed. Jericho/Edge will be highly entertaining for us...but the average wrestling fan isn't going to be entertained by 20 minutes of technical wrestling. Even if that technical wrestling has the best story in the world (which is what I look for).

I like TM's idea of having Christian saying he will cash it in before the match. Something like before the MITB match begins we have Christian cut a promo:

"If I win the MITB match I will cash it in to have my shot against Jericho and Edge for the title."

Christian wins, and everyone says "Oooooh shit. We have a triple threat."

Think of the extra pop we would get from that. Not just "Christian won!" but "Holy shit! Triple threat! Drooooool."

Crowds love surprises, and they love surprises that come from highly contested match endings. MITB doesn't get more exciting, and a Triple Threat match for the WHC hinging on a win by Christian would have the crowd shitting themselves.

Just think HBK vs. Taker hinging on the RR, and how the crowd just sorta cried when HBK was eliminated. Multiply that by 100000 billion, and you'll have an idea.

Oh yeah, and Edge wins for his first Face title reign. Jericho goes back to square one, and loses nothing from it.

the match everyone knew that was inevitable the moment edge won the rumble is now officially set in stone. Hope they let jericho win so that he won't look like a transitional champ but the last time i hoped it was this past ppv where i hoped morrison would leave as champ so EDGE would win this one to give him his first face reign as champion.
-About Christian cashing in at wrestlemania would be great but there will be lack of verismilitude because a little earlier his body was beat up by the MitB match then all of the sudden he cashes it in wrestlemania. I hope he cashes it a few months after wrestlemania.

With MITB PPV coming this year, this will probably be the one time that the MITB is cashed in during Mania, and yes, it does make alot of sense if Christian cashes in and makes the WHC a triple threat.

Not only would the Edge v Jericho match be completely hyped up anyway, but Christian would make it go through the roof.

Only problem is, can't see Jericho retaining but I can see Christian winning the WHC.

This is gonna be something. I agree it likely won't / shouldn't close the show. At the same time, I bet both of these two proud vets know thats how the majority feels. Both guys are known as afterthoughts, transitional champions, cant carry the big one. ETC ETC.

A lot of the same things are said about both guys, and im sure they are ready to prove thos things wrong. I have a feeling we are gonna get more out of this thing than we expect.

This won't close the show, and at this point likely shouldn't. We may very well have MOTN on our hands with it though.
