He could probably get past that if he just used this "intensity" gimmick into more of an insanity one where he does shit like he just did with Kaz in intentionally hurting people or losing his cool and his matches as a result by refusing to break holds, etc.

I'm no Heyman mark, but can you imagine Paul Heyman as a manager for Gunner? That'd do wonders for the kid. Heyman is all the mouth he needs.
