It's not really a "gimmick" though, Kendrick really does talk like that and really is out-there like that.

I watched him in OVW and he was a Mexican stereotype that did some good stuff.

Really? He comes off VERY fake, like he sat down and watched Eddie Guerrero and just does a piss poor imitation of him. I mean I'm from Long Island and I see plenty of that type of person so it just doesn't feel authentic at all to me. If he actually is Spanish, that's just weird.

damn i hate to say this but i kind of agree with you. Shelley Kendrick should've been build for Hardcore Justice. Tara vs Velvet has zero build.

I'm not one to complain much about TNA, but I actually agree. They always miss each other's spots, especially for finishers.

It's weird. Here he looks like a guy pretending to be a Mexican stereotype. In OVW he came off like a Mexican stereotype and not an imitation of one. He was also face and a singles wrestler so that probably had a lot to do with it.
