Ok, Should Golberg sign for TNA?

I am posting this to get the opinions of the WZ Faithful.

Here are some pros and cons of signing him. (not many lol)

Pros >>> . Hes one hell of an entertainer
He has earned a lot of respect.
BIG BIG Name for TNA.

Cons >>> He's getting old.
Would cost a lot/
Wages would be big.

Thank you for reading! Look forward to your responses.

I have never been a big Goldberg fan, but there are alot of people who are. He is still a big name and if TNA could sign him for a decent price, then it would probably be a benefit for them. If nothing else, TNA could use his name to help get over some of their younger talent.

To Pros you can take off "One Hell of an Entertainer" and to Cons you can add "can't draw ****".

Remember WcW going down once Goldberg gained popularity ? Not saying it's his fault at all, on the contrary, but he's not that much of draw.

Goldberg = lots of money and another star TNA would probably push taking down pushes for great wrestlers like Christian Cage and Samoa Joe.

And anyways there's no way in hell Goldberg will ever go to TNA, with Vince Russo being on the creative team... Goldberg is not in negociations with TNA anymore, and won't be again as long as Russo is in TNA and as long as TNA wants to make money.

IMO.

Well if he goes to TNA that would make them more bigger but if he goes back to WWE i don't think he'll have anyone to fued with.

But if TNA it would be good to see Goldberg vs Sting orGoldberg vs Abyss

I don't see Whisker Biscuit coming to TNA any time soon because of the Russo factor as stated above but also I sorta hope he doesn't because Goldberg is the type that expects to win and when he loses it is usually a dq or just blatant cheating by the other guy. SO therefore it would be the same old boring crap from him meaning he'll just make his opponents look like crap. He did the same old stuff in WWE that he did in WCW in that he didn't want to put people over unless it was a HHH or someone like that and as a result he was more than ready to walk out the door in the WWE because he didn't like the direction he was heading and I believe deep down he was bored. Goldberg may never be happy in the wrestling biz because who wants to face a guy like him when you know he is gonna go over no matter what and ruin any momentum you may have had in moving up. Guaranteed he's immediately want a shot at the world title. I know Christian doesn't want to face him because like I said before there goes his push. I pretty much see him coming in and destroying an entire team like LAX or something and saying some crap like "Mexicans....YOU'RE NEXT" and Tenay will tout him as the guy who evened the side for America. Or some stupid cheesy shit like that

I remember when he debuted I was floored because Goldberg was/is simply an awesome and intense figure because he is like a god damn bus out there just plowing over everyone. But it just gets stale after awhile when it happens every single week you know? Maybe if he did go to TNA it would be different because I would love seeing him take on Samoa Joe, Abyss, etc. who he has never faced. I mean maybe he could take on Angle because I don't recall him really going against him in WWE because if I remember correctly Angle was Smackdown and Goldberg was Raw...I may be wrong but I think he may have a good match with angle.

I love Goldberg but I find myself getting pissed watching his matches because I cant usually tell what he will do next and a lot of the time I sorta know who he MIGHT lose to which is few and far between.

I never remembered to Old billys in ring work to be that bad, and yeah sure i kinda knew in the back of my head he had about 6/7 moves he used all the time, but i always though to myself well thats just his characters plough through anything story arc...but then i watched an old WCW tape i got of ebay for a pound..its called Goldberg:Who's next.

And belive me when i say, you can really get blinded by the character and story, because i cant count the number of bothced spots/ awkward manouvers i saw, and the only moves i saw out of 120 minutes of match clips, (around 30 matches are featured) all i saw was Spears, Jackhammers, Pumphandle slams and gorrilla press slams.

I personally would not like to see Goldberg in TNA unless 3 things happened...

1. He worked on his in ring alot. and inproved his repotoire immensley.

2. He accepted that he has to lose at least 50% of the time.

3. He got written storylines that didnt consist of him plowing through roster or trying to beat "the streak" or just been Bill the ex football player who wont sell a move, so we have to let him win.

I like goldberg.....really...but still...

I have said it before and I will say it again, if Goldberg were to have an attitude adjustment, he would be a great catch for any promotion. The guy can put on a hell of a match, and is a great mat technician. His problem was he got more cheers for coming out, plowing over his opponent, and then spear, jackhammer. It got in his head, it got in the heads of creative, so thats all they wanted him to do. Go out, spear, jackhammer, win. If creative where to tell him to have a match like he is capable of having, and he where to get over himself, he would work great in TNA! Matches against Angle and Joe would be great. BUt, sadly, that day will never come. Goldberg has it set in his mind that he is a one trick pony that needs to go over everyone.

i dont think that a good idea tna has alot of up-n-coming stars. Signing goldberg would stop development. plus i think he a selfish person and wouldnt pass on knowledge to the younger wrestlers like sting does.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: TNA should avoid Goldberg like the plague. He is the last thing that they need at this juncture. They have stable roster content and Goldberg is about as helpful to TNA as an Orlando hurricane. Bill had all of the physical tools to be great but he was sloppy and NEVER learned how to pace a match in order to make it last beyond a squash. He needed three to four years of seasoning in the low and midcards before being given his run, but Bischoff was a ****** and saw instant $$$. Too bad that the squash matches Goldberg was involved in were two minute affairs and the WWF counterparts were actual wrestling matches. Goldberg's "streak" primarily consisted of defeats of mighty warriors like Rick Fuller and Jerry Flynn. These things cumulatively led to combined effect of WWF stomping WCW into the floor. Besides, Goldberg is dangerous and needs to spend more time in wrestling school going over the ring psychology and safety end of the deal. Just ask Bret Hart. Selling is also as foreign to him as reading Mandarin.

Forget Goldberg! Tna should try and sign Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was such a great heel in wwe that he could easily take Jarrets spot as #1 heel in Tna. Not to mention he had 5-star matches with Angle in wwe. Imagine the matches they could have in Tna(ie Ultimate X, Iron Man, or six-sides of steel).
Also if Heyman comes to Tna, you would have a on-air role for him as Lesnar's manager!

I do like Goldberg, but I think his heart really isn't in to it. And in this business if your only in it for the money then you should be a wrestler.

i think he would be good in TNA if he did improve his ringwork ( could learn from angle )
realised it was the company that needed the attention and not him
and would make joe and abyss and cage look good
it would be a massive pick up after WWE losing HHH

pickups for RAW Great Khali

pickups for TNA Goldberg

i know who i would rather

ignorant ignnoramus >>>>sincade20<<<< you dont kno goldberg perosnally... i think goldberg shuld sign with tna untill he retires.. or if he his.. then sign and re retire l8r

sign goldberg= more ratings and more publicity
as much as i hate to say it i dont see goldberg goin to tna, hes doin a bunch of shows and he already shot down a deal from tna which was basically what they offered Sting. the only way he is comin back is if russo leaves or after a bunch of goldberg's movies and shows are over

I kind of skimmed through here, but did anyone mention the fact that Goldberg signed a deal with Spike tv? This could very well lead to an appearance or 2 on TNA. The reason I bring this up is there is rumor that Spike helped out monetarily with Angle.

I havn't heard of the signing with spike tv? That surely would mean some sort of appearence with TNA, what else would goldberg sign with Spike tv for?

i believe goldberg should sign with TNA mainly because i think he is really good. if he does sign i reckon he should train with sting (his friend) and angle so that he can improve it. his moves are already powerful and good but he needs to expand them abit. he can draw alot from the people that loved wcw because they would want to see sting and goldberg possibly going for the title. he could have some great feuds with the likes of samoa joe, angle and abyss. i cant imagine a big feud with sting because they both seem like great faces. its a shame that he wont sign with russo in the company but i can understand why. it was russo that brought wcw down and treated goldberg really bad. also he will probably want to win alot so in the contract say he loses around 60% of the time.

all in all i think goldberg could bring some ratings and some money.

also i think brock lesnar is another big thing to bring in as he has the ability to draw can be a face or heel and has excellent strength and wrestling moves

Wasn't Goldberg called at least once in WCW Phil Goldberg?

Anyway, Goldberg could be alright but WCW built him up to be an unstoppable war machine and I feel that ruined his chances of ever being able to develop into a solid wrestler. Other wrestlers may also be afraid of being in the ring with him due to him ending Bret Hart's career.

i dont think goldberg will ever go to the tna...they offered him the same contract they gave sting and he jus laughed and turned it away...goldberg thinks he is the idol of the industry for them to sign him they wuld need to offer ALOT more then what they offered sting..

This part of the post is a great idea. Lesnar really needs to return to American wrestling, regardless of where it is. He's Goldberg done right. He's a legitimate monster heel or face who can wrestle deep into matches if need be and his physical tools are the stuff of legend. Goldberg is overpriced and undertalented, and really needs to go back to wrestling school so that he doesn't happen to kick anymore wrestling legends in the head and end their respective career. He also needs to learn how to carry a match past ten minutes without repeating the same moves over and over like he did in WCW. The day Goldberg got a heavy push in WCW was the day I knew that company was finished in the ratings race with Titansports. Low and behold, here we are. Thanks, Goldberg!:headbanger:

Goldberg is a horrible wrestler. I'm glad we established that. He ended Bret Hart's career and who knows what other career he could kill? I don't think they should sign him and if they do, then it should just be to cut promos and wrestle every once in awhile.

Correction Goldberg didn't turn down TNA when he asked for more money like Stings salary same as Jericho when he asked for the same TNA was unable to cough up that amount but now they can
Goldberg was called but he turned them down cause he had a child thats all
He'll be back by this year !!! You ll see
