Predictions, In match order-

Finlay vs Rey Mysterio- I don't pay any mind to SD! So I really don't know this whole thing with JBL, With him looking to return to the ring and Rey being his first feud, A DQ is likely here, but I see JBL missing out on screw job, Rey wins via 619 in what is likely to be one of the better matches on the card.

ECW Championship CM Punk vs Big Daddy V- Hmmm...Burke should still be in this spot, What a waste of another good feud on ECW, Big V is shit, Always has been. CM Punk has adopted the Cena gimmick of superman comebacks, So I see him winning here. Not sure how because there is no way in hell he will get the GTS, but then again Morrison is making his return from "The List". So here could be another DQ. Big V will be moving to RAW or SD shortly, So not sure if they keep going along with this feud, Instead going back to Morrison/Punk.

Shit match. Punk wins somehow.

Number 1 Contenders Match-Triple H vs Umaga- Yup, I see this being a #1 Contenders match for the Title to be decided later on in the main event. Umaga has alot of talent, He could use a push but being involved with the steriod thing, and facing Triple H is not going to get him anywhere. Triple H has been a bore in the ring since his return, The Carlito match was better, I think this one will be good as well with Triple H (Of Course) getting the win via Pedigree.

Average match. One of the better.

Women's Championship-Beth Phoenix vs Candice Michelle- This has had good build up lately, The match with be nothing special and just another snack break for me, Beth should win the belt here and probably will, with a rematch going down at Cyber Sunday.

Boring match, with a couple of sloppy moves by Candice.

Punjabi Prison Match- Boretista vs Great Khali- Boring, I don't even have a clue what the hell a Punjabi Prison Match is, I heard they are ok, I could look it up on youtube but anything with Khali is shit. Same with Batista and Same with this match. Batista wins. Bring on Edge.

OK Match because it's gimmicked, I'll watch because I have no clue what it is.

WWE Championship- Randy Orton vs Triple H- This feud was going to happen, It should start here, Who else is there? Mr. Kennedy(Heel) No, Triple H seems like the only logical choice, Put Jeff Hardy in this match WWE, and the fans will go insane, while the IWC cries in agony. Jeff is likely, He's over huge even though some don't like him but Triple H has power, He's returned and will want back in the chase immediately, The match will be good, A refresher from John Cena but in the end, RKO wins, Vince will come out and screw Triple H furthering their feud. Cyber Sunday rematch with Vince as ref? Could be.

Overall- Where in the flying fuck is Hardy/MVP and Hardy/Shelton? WTF? The Hardy/MVP feud has gone on for what? 4 months? Finish it already, I'm dying to see another Single's Match before the Ladder Match at Cyber Sunday. Jeff/Shelton would easily steal the show from the entertainment side of things. I guess WWE is taking a step back with the number of matches, PPV will end about 20-30 minutes short...again...

Should be ok, I'll order just in case something amazing happens, but it is WWE.

Women's Title- Beth defeats Candice
I think Beth will win the title even though it looks like they are focusing on Melina getting another title shot.

Rey defeats Finlay-
Not really built up to be a PPV match but should deliver in the ring.

ECW Title- CM Punk defeats Big Daddy V (DQ)
I personally think ECW is the best brand right now. I can't watch both hours on RAW without getting bored, and I work on Fridays so I rarely catch Smackdown but when I do, its sub par. That sad this match will suck because V is no fun to watch. All of his matches are squashes where he yells during his moves. Prime example of a man getting a push because he's big. Punk will most likely win by DQ when V decides to keep beating him when the ref calls for a break. Either that or another count out win for Big V.

Triple H defeats Umaga-
Umaga is once again being built up to be a monster. Most likely this is so that Triple H can look even stronger when he beats him.

World Championship- Batista defeats Khali
Somehow the Animal will dominate, it will be so awesome! He'll do the spinebuster and a clothesline. Impossible not to have a five star match in the Punjabi Prison with these two world class athletes.

Does anybody else think No Mercy 07 feels more like a "Saturday Night Main Event" or 3 hour Raw special than an actual ppv? Low number of matches with 2 of them having no titles involved and one being a women's match? Its sad when the most interesting match is the one that doesn't exist yet lol. I was hoping the Undertaker/Kane vs MVP/Hardy match would've been on this card cause that would've been fantastic, seeing as how the Undertaker is one of the top guys in the WWE right now and MVP/Hardy are in arguably the most interesting feud at the moment (and improving week by week).

This just screams "don't care until I see Raw to find out who the champ is".

This ppv wont even have the Undertaker or Kane on it. Cena is out. Why put Umaga in it against HHH. HHH already took him out with the sledgehammer. You already know who will win. MVP&Hardy need a serious blow-up to lead to a ladder match for the US title. Finlay vs Mysterio. They show that match on Smackdown for free. Why watch it again?

the reason that this pay-per-view is looking slim is that they expect us to buy it solely for the fact that some one is going to have to face Randy Orton for the Title...that's it. Needless to say, that isn't enough for me...hence, I'll be going to the ol' interweb for the results, when I say "oh, that's nice how we get to see Randy Orton stay number one contender for another month."

I really wish they would have put MVP/Hardy vs. BoD on this card. I'd actually consider purchasing it then!

do like a bret hart at wrestlemania 10 losing to owen earlier in the night then beating yokozuna for the title.
have hardy loses the ic championship to shelton at the start of the night.
then have some sort of lottery where the name pulled out of the hat will face randy orton as he is the number 1 contender.
jeff hardy is named and somehow lucky beat randy orton.
orton destroys hardy after the match as he can believe he lost and carry on the cena feud with jeff.
Have Jeff as champ til cyber sunday where orton wins the title finally. three weeks like they did with edge once.

jericho comes back and attacks triple h. vince gives him his job back to destroy triple h

and push carlito now thats cool.

WWE Title Match- 6-8 man ladder match, similar to money in the bank, with hhh, orton, kennedy, hardy, shelton benjamin, and possibly returns of hbk, jericho, and even kane, taker, mark henry, john morrison, or rey coming to raw or at least participating in this match. Wouldnt be surprised if they throw in val venis to acknowledge the poll on wwe.com. (he obviously has no chance at winning)
Winner- Randy Orton, but thats a pure guess. (finally an unpredictable title match as well as one in which there will be no fu's stfu's five knuckle shuffles or that rediculously stupid three finger salute.)

Khali vs Batista- Edge interferes by chainsawing his way through the bamboo, Batista somehow escapes throught the hole that edge created.
Winner- Batista who eventually will lose the title to edge.

Rey vs Finlay- Very good "wrestling match" which will probably end up being the best one on the card other than the wwe title match. Rey will either win cleanly or finlay will get dqed with some help from jbl.
Winner- Rey

HHH vs Umaga- Wouldnt be surprised if it leads off the show and is for the opportunity to participate in the main event later that night.
Winner- HHH who goes on to the wwe title match.

CM Punk vs Big Daddy V- Big Daddy V either gets himself dqed or cm punk comes up with a fluke victory.
Winner- CM punk in order to continue the rivalry.

Beth Phoenix vs Candice- i really couldnt care less. I just hope that the winner loses the title to mickie james who other than victoria and sometimes melina is the only diva worth watching.
Winner- Beth Phoenix- she lost the last one in a weird finish and will most likely dominate this match.

At this moment... the ppv looks like shit... but with only what 5 or 6 matches... expect something big to happen. they'll maybe add a couple more matches or they're building the WWE title main event.

My Predictions:

Finlay Vs Rey: IMO, i see Finlay winning this one. I personally hate the guy in the ring but everyone is expecting rey to win but i can see a JBL interference to signify his return.

Beth Vs Candice: Women's matches... always shit. I hope Beth wins it so we can see real women wrestling but Candice will once again find a way to win the match. Expect Beth winning the belt at Cyber Sunday.Overall: Shitty match, dont even care.

HHH Vs Umaga: Umaga wins! simple is that. It would totally kill his monster gimmick if the game wins. He made umaga looked weak 2 times! I don't know why trips is so much loved! I personally am tired of him squashing everybody to make him look like a god. Overall: Good match coming up! but stupid ending if HHH wins.

Punk Vs Daddy: Big Daddy V... no inring skills, no mic skills, no talent, just 500 pounds a size DDD tits... Wtf is going on here?? expect Snitsky to be in a mainevent picture in a couple of months! why in the hell are they so into big guys...? anyway, V is going to win. Morisson is coming back and expect him to interfere to cost Punk the Belt and to continue their feud. Overall: Shitty match.

Batista Vs Khali: what the hell is the punjabi match?? Expect it to be the Worst match of the night... i dont know how that match works but anyway batista retains. He's losing it to Edge.

WWE Championship Match: Orton is in the ring waiting for the unknown challenger... Then Y2J's music hits the ring! But while everyone is Expecting Jericho winning the belt, the WWE surprises everyone by having Orton RKOing Jericho out of nowere, winning the title and sabotaging Y2J's comeback. Overall: MOTN.

I expect a shitty PPV, but im too exciting on who's gonna win the WWE title, so im ordering it!!!

Yes, this totally seems something like the 3 hour RAW specials they do where the whole roster is their.

This PPV was below average to begin with, now it is just horrible. No Main Event announced could hurt buyrates huge.

there's no taker, there's no IC match which means as of now there's no Jeff Hardy, there's no U.S. title match

I agree with the person who said they should a tleast crown a cruiserweight champion at the the ppv

at last coutn there were 6 matches

they should be able to have 2-4 more on the card. it seems like it will be a hsort night.

with the lack of talent and the lack of matches I may just wait until the results are posted here, then I can jsut watch the Bears/Packers game because at this point that sounds more exciting and it won't cost me 40 bucks

My Predictions:

Umaga vs. Triple H: Aint going to happen.

Batista vs. The Great Khali: There's no way Batista is losing this after a month. It just aint going to happen. This match is happening so they can have Khali lose again but he doesn't have to be pinned. I expect the ending to go a little like this. Both try to climb out of the second patr of the cage. khali's too heavy and as he's climbing the cage give way, leaving Batista to climb over.

Candice vs. Beth Phoenix: Candice get's another upset. Similar match to there Unforgiven one. Phoenix will win it the next night on Raw.

C.M. Punk vs. Big Daddy V: Punk wins by D.Q. in a crap match.


Rey Mysterio vs. Finaly: Good match. Rey wins clean but get's taken out by Bradsaw after the match.


Other Predictions:

C.M. Punk vs. John Morrison: Punk get's beaten down during and after the match. Morrison returns and demands a title show. Armando gives it and Morrison picks up the victory.

WWE Championship Match: Will be a triple threat. Orton vs. HHH vs. Umaga. I see Triple H picking up the victory. He's reliable unlike Orton and Umaga will be the job boy in the match.

Hope it's not a gauntlet or battle royal to determine the new champ. That's so TNA. There should just be a match with the top 3 or 4 challengers.

Final Prediction: No Jericho.

Before I throw in my card, I want to say....what the fuck? You cannot have 6 matches and expect to call it a PPV worth 40 dollars. You can't say that, OH, well Cena just got injured we didn't have time to throw anything together! , because he was injured two weeks prior to No Mercy, and in the main event. They weren't going to add additional matches apparently. This is terrible, absolutely terrible. I'm going to do all in my power to keep from ordering this, I'll find a stream, drive an hour to a bar to get it for free, or SOMETHING. I'm not about to pay for something like this waste of cash.

Rant over - moving onto the predictions.

Finlay - Mysterio - JBL s getting more and more heat toward Mysterio with each passing week, including even on wwe.com. I'm assuming that JBL will continue to get involved in Rey's matches, bringing him out of retirement sometime later on down the road. For now, I can see JBL getting Rey DQ'ed or lose because of JBL.

ECW Title: Big Daddy V - C.M. Punk - Terrible, disgusting, vomit inducing match. V makes me sick at my stomach to see. I'm going to have a hard time watching it because so. V can barely even move, he's more mobile than Khali, but not by much. I expect to see V squash C.M. Punk in a very short match, with a Morrison run-in, which, by the way, should be Morrison in V's place, with interference from V, but that's neither here nor there. Worst match of the night. Yes, I said it, and I mean it.

Womens Title - Candice - Phoenix - Should be ok, it would be shit on any other night, but with a match like the one I just described earlier, it will be a welcome relief to see wrestling....if only on Phoenix's part. I think Phoenix is going to win the title, but I don't know where or when. I'd say that Candice will retain tonight, however. Not too bad, but I won't be watching it past the first couple minutes.

Umaga - HHH - I can agree with Jake, that this match wouldn't happen, but if it were, it'll be a decent match. I don't want to see Umaga buried by HHH, but I don't want to see HHH lose to Umaga. It's touchy. But a decent match, with HHH going over or interruptions by Vince to a DQ or an upset.

Punjabi Prison - Khali - Batista - I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it'll be an alright gimmicked match. The two can't wrestle for shit, but since when does a match like this require wrestling? The very first one wasn't the best, but it was passable. Of course, they had much better workers there, but nonetheless. Heavy gimmick makes a decent match, regardless of the terrible wrestler's quality. I want to see blood....lots of blood. I'm a sick bastard, so what.

And finally......

WWE Title Match - It doesn't take a genius to know what I want. Just take a look around at what I've been saying. I think Jericho should return here and be hotshotted the title. Orton is a liability issue, and HHH has issues with Vince, and by the looks of things it's for a DX return. I would not mind to see Orton the champ, but it's still a heavy risk. Then there's the possibility of Kennedy for a feud with HHH to WM, but still, it's not what I want to see. Whoever is involved here will be the MOTN regardless. That's not saying much, however.

Overall - again - read the beginning of my post. Shitty PPV, waste of money, but I'm dying to see someone other than Cena holding it. It's not too far from WWE to have Cena win it in a wheelchair.

Jericho will probably return at Cyber Sunday, since it's about cyber and computers, as is the save_us promos. But I'm going to mark out like never before if Jericho surprises us all and shows up here.

I just wanted to rant about one match: CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V

I've been wanting to see CM Punk face Tommy Dreamer for a while now. When I saw Dreamer win that elimination chase thing, I was very excited; I would finally see my fantasy match, plus it was for the ECW Championship, which would make it even better, so I was planning on getting No Mercy. But then they go and make Big Daddy V the number 1 contender. Why? Punk vs. Dreamer would be a much better match, plus Dreamer is one of the few ECW originals left, so why wouldn't they give him a push? It's just stupid to me.

There not going to give Dreamer a push for a number of reasons.

#1 He can wrestle for shit. He's getting old and showing it.

#2 He's a face. So is Punk. As a new champ on an unimportant brand Punk should only face heels for the time being.

#3 He's not really over.

#4 Viscera (Strangley) is a more credible challenger.

I think the fact that so many people arent booked for tonight suggests a big main event, something that will take up the booking time. If thats not the case i'll be suprised because the WWE could have announced some filler matches through the website.
Personally i'd like Michaels to come back and kick Mr Orton's head off.

This looks like the crappiest PPV of the year! Wow, this card is god-aweful. I hope the made so little matches because they want to make a KOTR styled tournament for the WWE title. That will not happen and we will have a Battle Royal or a gaunlet match at the most, sadly. I have given up in WWE PPV's because of the quality.

I'd rather see a battle royal for the title then most of the title matches they put on. They're at least interesting and uses up more talent. I don't see Jericho returning, HBK or Edge would seem more likely to me. But HHH and Umaga being thrown into the title match seems very possible too.

Adding my fuel to the main event speculation, I see HHH vs Umaga being used as a three way title bout with Randy Orton. Orton wins (as he should) by pinning Umaga as HHH is out of the ring............followed by a lengthy pursuit of the title and Orton by HHH leading up to WM HHH vs Mr Kennedy

 

[The not-so Great Khali]

Event though there is only 6 matches tonight I'd doubt it very much if any of them last longer than 15 minutes (maybe the Punjabi Prison match will but only because it would take Khali 10 minutes to climb the walls.) I'd expect to see an announcement by Vince at the start of the show to explain the WWE Title match/situation or lots of backstage skits with him discussing potential plans with Coach or both.

Rey VS Finlay - Rey gets the clean pin but then gets into an arguement with JBL at ringside. They won't have JBL attack Rey on a PPV when he is announcing.

Candice VS Beth - Beth to get the win and the title here otherwise the storyline dies. Also Candice is on the Cyber Sunday poster so she is probably getting a rematch in a lingerie match.

Triple H VS Umaga - H will not job. Vince will be at ringside and probably Carlito aswell.

CM Punk VS Big Daddy V - Punk to retain by Striker getting V disqualified. Don't expect to see Morrison here, wait for Tuesday.

Batista VS The Great Khali - There's no way Khali can climb the bamboo shoots so Batista to retain. Also it's rumoured that at Cyber Sunday it will Batista VS Khali VS Undertaker VS Henry.

WWE Title - I think WWE shouldv'e played on the fact that Kennedy injured Cena and so he replaces him in the match against Orton. But they haven't and so I think they will have a battle royal with Orton winning it, or Hornswoggle!

I will be very disappointed if Chris Jericho does not comeback tonight.
I have hopes he will comeback in the title match and win but very slim hopes..
I think the title match will include randy orton, mr.kennedy, jeff hardy for definite,probably over the top rope match and orton coming out the winner.
Either way the is the first time in about 13 months i have actually been looking forward to a ppv main event.
