General No Mercy 2007 Discussion

No Mercy Predictions:

Current Card:
W.W.E. Championship Match: Last Man Standing: John Cena v. Randy Orton:
Reason: Unfortunately this is W.W.E.'s top feud right now, next to Batista/Khali of course. So they wish to push, & push.. and push. I can see the match ending with Cena trying to protect his Father, & ultimately sacrificing his own safety, as Orton becomes a 2-time Champion. OR, with how Orton's backstage attitude has been reported on this website, I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't give Orton the Championship at all.. & had Cena destroy him in this match.
Winner: Randy Orton Unless, they just bury him to Cena for the reports making their rounds.

World Heavyweight Champion: Punjabi Prison: Batista v. The Great Khali:
Reason: There is no way I'm believing this feud is still continuing. They finally got the Championship off Khali, to give it back to the former Champion (before the other two injuries, that is) & they stretched it out way to long to do that even. Khali never should've had the Championship to begin with, he should've been given ONE Championship title match, & even that shouldn't of been a single's match. This is horrible. Now then, the Punjabi Prison match.. am I the only one who liked the concept, but realized that there was a reason (other than what was reported) on why Khali didn't compete in it last year? To win the match, you have to climb up & over the top. I don't remember even with Khali coming out during last year's match, that he climbed it. I can't possibly see him climbing it this year.
Winner: Batista The only way Khali can win, in my view, is if he busts his way through the second half of the prison, to walk out.. instead of climb.

E.C.W. Championship: C.M. Punk v. (Tommy Dreamer, Elijah Burke, or Kevin Thorn)
Reason: I'm hoping beyond hope, & wishing beyond anything that Kevin Thorn gets the shot. Its about time they've put him in even a remote chance for a Championship match. Tommy Dreamer as well, even though Dreamer wouldn't stand a true chance against Punk, & Burke v. Punk in a rematch is NOT what I want. So therefore, I hope W.W.E. goes with the obvious choice: Kevin Thorn.
Winner: C.M. Punk Yes, even though I want Thorn, I can't see any of these three winning the Championship, although Thorn does have the best chance, as he's the only one of the 4 that shows true Championship ability right now. (yes, even over Burke)

Grudge Match: Triple H. v. Umaga:
Reason: I really have no idea, other than its a way for Umaga to try & get revenge for Triple H. injuring him. Its funny how a year ago, Umaga was undefeated & looking extremely impressive, even beating the duo of H.B.K. & H.H.H. in D-X.. now, in less than a year, he's dropped matches to not only Bobby Lashley, John Cena, & Jeff Hardy, but also Santino Marella.. yeah.. you think I'd forget that. (I don't care what the reason was, he still lost)
Winner: Triple H. Umaga will only win, if he has help.. which isn't impossible.. but W.W.E. doesn't look to be building him for anything anymore.

Rumored Card:
Intercontinental Championship: Jeff Hardy v. Carlito/Mr. Kennedy:
Reason: Jeff Hardy & either of these two, be it Carlito or Kennedy can put on a great match. I'd like to see Kennedy win it, but Carlito may be given the shot, since he's been the whipping boy lately.
Winner: Carlito/Mr. Kennedy whoever gets the nod between them, will most likely win it. Hardy was only given the Championship due to the scandal anyways.

U.S. Championship: M.V.P. v. Matt Hardy:
Reason: This match has been building since before Summerslam, I think its about time they finally let it happen. Surprisingly though, I see M.V.P. retaining. Hardy has beaten M.V.P. in every one of their little "side matches," & if this is a single's match.. M.V.P. can cheat to win, setting up a rematch - Ladder match.
Winner: M.V.P.

Grudge Match: Rey Mysterio v. Finlay:
Reason: I'm sorry, but I can't stand watching these two wrestle. The styles are way too different for the match to be entertaining. All this is, is a way to keep Mysterio in the spotlight, & Finlay on a p.p.v.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

Women's Championship: Candice Michelle v. Beth Phoenix:
Reason: Okay, now Beth can win the Championship. All they wanted to do was show that Candice can beat the bigger, unstoppable. Now that she has, she can slowly fade away until she learns more. Beth can stay dominate against Mickie James for a solid 2 monthes, so this is foreseeable.
Winner: Beth Phoenix

On a final note.. I have nothing for Undertaker, but I'm more than sure he'll be added. Perhaps a Mark Henry/Undertaker rematch.. but not unless its a gimmick. They've already done the Casket Match, so Buried Alive would overkill.. since they already have other gimmick matches going on.. I see it being either, Hell in a Cell, or plain rematch.

W.W.E. Championship Match: Last Man Standing: John Cena v. Randy Orton:No brainer for me, but I honestly think this will once again go to Cena with some kind of help from his dad, but not sure if that will be the case. Being a last man standing match, I have a feeling this will be the second best match of the night, with Cena, once again getting a win within the final seconds, a trait that I have started to love about Cena.
Winner: John Cena

World Heavyweight Champion: Punjabi Prison: Batista v. The Great Khali:This will go to batista, no question. As said above, they would never continue this feud, especially by giving back the title. I believe this will be a good match, and seeing as it will most likely be The Great Khali's last match for a while maineventing a pay per view, I think they will go all out, and try to have Khali go out with a bang from the World title picture. Should be a good match, and I rate it as being the best match of No Mercy.
Winner: Batista

E.C.W Championship: CM Punk vs []:Once again, too bad for CM Punk, but I see this being the worst, or at least, the worst of the title matches. CM Punk will win, but once again I hope he faces off against Burke. Burke is the rising ECW star, and they should give him more time in the spot light to shine. Ever since the end of the originals vs new breed storyline, I have hoped and hoped he would get another shot at the spotlight.
Winner: CM Punk

Grudge Match: Triple H. v. Umaga:Triple H will win, furthering propelling himand his momentum higher into the depths of RAW. Triple H will win, but Umaga, being Umaga, will put up a very good fight. This should be the best match on the card that isn't a title match, and I'm looking forward to see if my predictions are true.

W.W.E. Championship Match:
Last Man Standing: John Cena v. Randy Orton: I hope orton finally wins this time around. After a solid SS and a fucked up Unforgiven, this fued needs to end. Please WWE dont fuck it up with a Draw

World Heavyweight Champion:

Punjabi Prison: Batista v. The Great Khali: I'll keep this one short. Batista wins. I just hope The Great Jabroni doesnt fuckup and break/fall off the Bamboo prison and let the title change hands again. Fuck

E.C.W Championship:

CM Punk vs [Winner of the Fatal Four Way Chase]: Will be one of the better matches of the card. AND DONT LET THIS BE THE OPENING MATCH OF THE PPV U BITCHES IN STAMFORD

Grudge Match:
Triple H. v. Umaga: Does anybody notice HHH is becoming the next cena??? Squash after squash. Hunter Humps Homo's wins

U.S. Championship:
M.V.P. v. Matt Hardy: Matt prevails, as long as tag titles are dropped before No Mercy. Brothers become Respective midcard champs on their brands. This is the best ongoing fued of 2007. Agree??

Women's Championship:
Candice Michelle v. Beth Phoenix: Beth wins so she can give the womens title some prestige by fueding with mickie and victoria. She is the brock lesner of womens wrestling :p sorry chyna you are a man. I saw ur porn with Xpac and i almost died

Inconclusion i just wanna say i hope TNA gives WWE a run for their money when they go 2hours next month so we can get our monies worth on PPV's. WWE also needs to get rid of hollywood writers for their show. U SUCK BITCHES

Cena v orton= I am gonna say randy orton cause now cena has had the title to long needs a change.

Batista v Khali= worst match of the year, batista to win and I think edge will come back and win the title at either b4 the rumble and then drop the title to taker at mania.

HHH V Umaga= HHH will win in a squash match

Cm punk v Burke= Altho would like to see tommy win I reckon burke will, great match potentially punk to pick up the win, with punk to drop the title back to morrison by the end of the year.

All I want to see in this PPV:

- To see Khali be destroyed, batista-bombed, injured, and never EVER see him again. :shooter:

- To see Cena FINALLY lose that damn title to Orton, and of course, see Cena get kicked in head so I don't see him for while.

If those two things happen, I'll be satisfied.

:headbanger:

My Predictions:

WWE Championship LMS Match- Orton vs. Cena
I have a bad feeling that its gonna end in a no contest like most other LMS matches. But I'll be ok with it if it leads to a HIAC match.
Prediction: Double Count-out ; no contest; Cena retains

WHC Punjabi Prison Match- Khali vs. Batista
Thankfully they don't have to actually wrestle in this one. True, it'll still probably be bad, but at least watchable. GOD I HOPE EDGE COMES BACK SOON!!
Prediction:Batista retains

HHH vs. Umaga- this match is completely obligatory as a way to end the HHH-Umaga/Carlito fued. Umaga's music will play during the HHH/Carlito Cage match, giving Carlito the advantage and win. This will not only hype up the match at NM, but free up Carlito for something else... more on that later.

Here's what I think will be added:
ECW Championship Match- Kevin Thorn vs. CM Punk
Personally I'm bored with only seeing Punk Burke and Morrison on the PPV's. This is Thorn's time to shine. I don't like him all that much yet, but I do see potential in him, if they were to downplay the vampirism a bit. He has no chance of winning, but if he impresses, he can secure a spot in the ECW main event, especially with the release of Monty Brown.

IC Championship- Carlito vs. Jeff Hardy
Where can Carlito go after a fued with HHH? His been impressing me lately, and this match will be a test for both men. Carlito's getting some real heat with the crowd right now, so now's the opportune time to push him. Hardy's just a very boring champion.
Prediction: Carlito wins; new IC Champion

Mr. Kennedy vs. Hornswoggle- This HAS to happen. You don't honestly believe they're dropping Kennedy out of the major storyline of the year do you? McMahon likes him too much. Total squash.
Prediction: Kennedy wins

WHC No. 1 Contender's match- Mark Henry vs. Undertaker
Because WWE is gonna drive this fued into the ground til they have no where else to go with it. Double DQ which leads to the audience choosing tween these two and Khali to face Batista at CS. I...Hate...Mark...Henry...

Rey Mysterio & Kane vs. Finlay and JBL- with the injuries and suspensions and lack of depth on the SD roster, it wouldn't suprise me to see JBL to come out of retirement for like, this one match, specially after the angle on SD this coming week. Obligitory face win.
Prediction: 619 and Kane win

I think they'll have another SS-like segment with MVP and Matt Hardy. They'll drop the Tag Titles sometime on Smackdown and the Climactic end will come at CS, which makes sense as seeing that thier rivalry is based on competition, so they can have a gimmick match (hoping for ladder!)

WWE Title: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
ok - my opinion. If they are gonna keep doing Cena/Orton - they gotta switch the belt over at some point. And if they're gonna do it, it has to be now. Otherwise, it kinda wrecks the entire storyline. Cena's had the belt for a year now - made everyone happy now, so take it off him. My guess is Orton wins with some sort of weapon.

World Heavyweight Title: Batista vs. Great Khali
So here comes the return of the Punjabi Prison match....yet Khali never actually did participate in last year's match. Batista will not lose the belt back to Khali, and Khali sucked as champ anyways. Easy victory for Batista schooling Khali in his own gimmick match.

ECW Championship: CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke
Why do people keep saying that the ECW match is always gonna be the MOTN? I don't get it, because it hasn't, and won't happen. Just the same thing over and over - it bores me. Punk easily retains - then loses to John Morrison at next PPV.

Triple H vs. Umaga
Umaga is not gonna beat Triple H, too predictable. The Game hasn't lost yet since his return, and it's not gonna happen at a PPV. HHH with a pedigree.

Raw tag Titles: Cade and Murdoch vs. London and Kendrick
the only tag teams (point already proven), I bet London and Kendrick win though for WWE to make a lame attempt at keeping the tag division exciting.

US Title: MVP vs. Matt Hardy
Hardy has all the momentum right now, but I'm gonna say MVP uses that Playmaker and keeps on Ballin' with that title. I'm surprised he hasn't customized it like Cena did...

Intercontinnental Title: Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Kennedy
Hardy's had a couple of decent IC title runs lately, for some reason, I don't see that changing now. Hardy with a Swanton bomb after a failed Kenton bomb by Kennedy.

Undertaker vs. Mark Henry:
Please be a Buried Alive match - and Henry can finally Rest In Peace.

Confirmed so far...
Randy Orton vs John Cena Last Man Standing for WWE title
I see John Cena winning this match furthering there feud. I believe this will be a good match but i still see Cena winning furthering there feud into some kind of gimmick match. I see the pappa Cena playing a significant rule. Winner and Still champ John Cena:headbanger:

Batista Vs The Great Khali Punjabi Prison Match for WHC
I see Batista winning this match for the fact is that they are not gonna put the belt on him then in a month lose it to Khali. No just doesnt make sense. I see Batista winning this match without even Batista making it to the second level. Unless he uses his super power strength. But i dont see that happening. Winner and still champ Boretista.

HHH vs Umaga: Imo this match is gonna be terrible, this is gonna be another person the Game squashes to make him look super human and making Umaga look like nothing. I see Triple H winning via pedigree. poor Youmanga never stood a chance. :(

my predictions

Matt Hardy versus MVP: I see MVP retaining his title to further there feud, I see MVP winning via Playmaker after he capitalizes on a Hardy mistake. Winner and still US champ MVP "Ballin"

Jeff Hardy Versus Mr Kennedy: I see Kennedy winning this match because hardy's reign was that of pity because of all the suspensions. I see Kennedy winning via Kenton. Winner and New Champ Mrrrr.... Kennedy.

Beth Phoenix Vs Candice Michelle: I see Beth dominating this match and taking the title off of Candice by using her manly like strength. Winner and new Womans Champ Beth Phoenix.

I see more to come possibly tag matches but when i think of it or get info on confirmed matches i will update.

Since I already gave my match predictions, and I'm bored, I'll just state a few things I think are guaranteed to happen and vice versa, guaranteed not to happen:

1. Batista retains the WHC, but most likely drops it to the Undertaker at the next ppv after No Mercy.

2. Randy Orton will win the WWE title. Why? Because their feud won't last if they have Cena retain 3-0. I see some people here thinking that he'll retain so they can have a "gimmick match" for the 4th one....what do you call Last Man Standing? That's the gimmick match, guys. WWE's doing the hat-trick lately where the third time's the charm. It'll most likely spawn over to Orton as well. Then they'll have a rematch at the next ppv, but Orton will retain, even if it means he'll lose via DQ.

3. For the life of me, I can't see Kennedy or Carlito taking the IC belt off Jeff Hardy. Now don't get me wrong, I'm extremely impressed with how all 3 of them have been pushing themselves lately (though the setback with Kennedy is annoying), BUT, if Kennedy is going to be involved in the son storyline, giving him the IC title will do nothing. It'll make it so they can't use an IC feud to fill in the ranks of their program, thereby losing some value. We all know if Kennedy is to feud with Triple H, it sure as hell isn't going to be just for the IC belt, right? So having Kennedy with that title isn't going to work. Why wouldn't they give it to Carlito? Because they're grooming Shelton to fill in that gap at the time. After they finish the Hardy/Shelton program, Carlito will probably step up and be the main feud for Hardy. Eventually, he may win, yeah, but Hardy isn't dropping the belt at No Mercy.

4. In regards to Triple H vs Umaga, there's only two possible outcomes for this match: Hunter pedigrees Umaga and gets the win or Umaga and possibly someone else beats the hell out of Triple H in accordance to Vince's wishes to punish him for what he's been doing. The former is more likely.

5. CM Punk versus ???? As we now know, it will be either Dreamer, Burke, or Thorn. My guess is that it will be Dreamer or Thorn just to switch things up. If they're smart, they'll do CM Punk vs Dreamer in an extreme rules match to help get the fans into it. No matter what, CM Punk is not going to lose...I'd bet my bank account on it.

6. Candice Michelle vs Beth Phoenix....guaranteed this match will be NOTHING worth talking about, just as well suspected lol.

7. Regarding title changes....more than a few people like to predict that half the titles will change hands on every ppv and they're always proven wrong. The WWE isn't going to change the WWE champ, WHC champ, IC champ, Women's champ, US champ, and a tag team all in one shot. They like to drag things out. The card obviously isn't set yet, but if I had to guess, the only belts changing hands will be the WWE and Women's. The situation with Hardy/MVP and the tag titles will resolve itself on Smackdown, Hardy might not even have a match at No Mercy since they've been keeping the IC belt off the ppvs lately, and if they're having two gimmick matches (punjabi and last man standing), they probably won't have that ladder match everyone is hoping for between MVP and Matt. The only other belt I could see switching is for Londrick to win, but they could easily just do that stint on Raw.

8. To end it off on an obvious one, if there is a "top contender" match, most likely involving the Undertaker, Finlay, Rey Mysterio, and Kane or Mark Henry, we all know the dead man is taking that one.

WWE Championship: John Cena (Champ) v. Randy Orton
This is a last man standing match, which means that, like the other members have posted will end only in two ways. They will either go to a draw or Cena will retain. If the Cyber Sunday reports are true then it will most likely go into a HIAC match in which I think Orton will finally win. But then again, they could let Orton win at No Mercy and then retain at Cyber Sunday.
Winner: Double Count Out

World Heavyweight Championship: Batista (Champ) v. Khali
This Punjabi Prison match will be horrible. Batista will have to do almost all of the work and Khali will just keep booting him in the face and going for that crappy claw. Batista will win as he will drop it to either Undertaker or Edge, if he gets back in time.
Winner: Batista retains

Triple H v. Umaga
Triple H will squash Umaga in a decent lenght match. I hope they make Umaga look like a monster still, or he will fall to midcard. Triple H will win with a pedigree.
Winner: Triple H

ECW Championship: CM Punk (Champ) v. John Morrison
I know the chase only contains Dreamer, Burke and Thorn, but they tourny ends on the last ECW before No Mercy, which is the same taping that all the suspended wrestlers will return. I think Dreamer will defeat Burke in the last match but then when he is celebrating, Morrison will make his way and make a suprise entry and win the tourny. Morrison will go on to No Mercy but I believe Punk will retain, so they can continue the fued.
Winner: Punk retains

IC Title: Jeff Hardy v. Carlito
I see Hardy retaining in this match. I don't believe Kennedy will be in this only because they are gonna find a way somehow to fit him into the whole bastard son storyline.
Winner: Hardy retains

US Title: MVP v. Matt Hardy
I beileve they will finally give Matt the single title that he deserves so that MVP can move up the roster, but their fued my continue.
Winner: Matt Hardy

Number one contender's match: Taker v. Henry
I see Taker winning this match once again just like Unforgiven.
Winner: Taker of course

Women's Title: Candice v. Beth
Beth will squash Michelle and actually win this time.
Winner: Beth

I just want Orton to win and Batista to beat the shit out of Khali because we all know he can't wrestle for shit.

I am going to this show and the only thing that I have to say is the Chicago crowd will boo Cena to death if he wins. I see an Orton win, they always do something special for the Chicago crowd. As far as Punk goes, they don't need to add anything to this match to get people into it.The homecrowd boy coming back with the belt, they could have him wrestle Funaki and we'd be happy as long as it's more than a 10 minute match. They will save a gimmick ECW title match for the next PPV. I see Thorn getting the nod here and him and Punk having a long feud.

From the looks of Smackdow in appears as though we'll be seeing Finlay vs. Mysterio. I'm looking forward to that one. It should be good. Finaly might be old but he can still go. And Rey may well be a fat ass but he can still go.

Unfortunatley I also see a Taker/Henry rematch. I cant believ WWE offered Henry another contract. Silly bastards.

I my memory doesnt fail me, this is the card so far:

WWE Championship Match,John Cena vs Randy Orton Last Man Standing Match
Lets see, the second LMS match for Cena in less than a year. do we really need to see Cena retaining? I mean, if he wins, Orton should be vanished forever of the title picture, something that WWE can't allow with their more than weak roster.
One thing is for sure: Dad Cena will play a big part in the match. I see him costing Cena the Title (hopefully) because of some sort of dumb interference.

Winner...and your NEW! WWE Champion: Randy Orton!

WHC Match, Batista vs The Great Khali, Punjabi Prison Match
This should be the second time that WWE use the Punjabi Prison structure if im not wrong. and it would have been a mistake not to use Khali in it. Bu, Batista? well, I think we will have Batista shoved down our throats for another 2 or 3 PPV at least, but this time, actually winning! :D
Scenario 1: Batista will get the win, setting the scenario for a short tag team program with Taker as his tag partner, vs Khali and Henry. Maybe a Fatal four way at Cyber sunday, with Taker being screwed up by Khali and Henry.
Scenario 2: Batista gets the win, and start a short program vs Rey for the WHC, leading to a Cyber sunday match, where the stipulations could be:
1) 2 out of 3 falls match
2) No DQ match (highly unlikely)
3) Night gown match :D

Triple H vs Umaga
Unlike the others, I can see the first loss of Triple h since his return. Thank this to Carlito, who will interfere in one way or other. Triple H will dominate the match somehow, only to be screwed by the "RAW's Rotten apple"
Winner: Umaga
----------------------------------
Possible matches:

ECW Championship match, CM Punk vs Elijah Burke
Somehow, this could be the last match between this two, as I dont really see that they are going anywhere. Anyone miss John Morrison besides me? Elijah is really good, but his character is getting a little boring. Maybe after this, we could be back to Punk vs Morrison, or maybe Punk vs Big Daddy V.....yikes!
Either way, the Punk Era will continue stronger than ever. Long live Punk!
Winner: Cm Punk (maybe with a GTS, what a surprise, lol)

Inter Continental Championship match, Jeff Hardy vs Shelton Benjamin
Show stealer anyone? usually, this two guys delivers when we talk about PPVs; Doesnt matter that jeff is kind of "spotty" he and Shelton are two of the most celebrated superstars, one by the Marks and the other by the Smarks :D.
again, this could be the the match of the night, and i see Hardy retaining with ....a Swanton!!!! hahahaha!
Winner: Jeff Hardy

World Tag Team Championship match, Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs Bryan Kendrick & Paul London

meh, I can see this match blowing so hard....dont ask why. but I see the Rednecks cheating again over spanky and smilie. the titles change would happen in Cyber sunday at latest.
Winners: Rednecks

Women Championship Match, Candice Michelle vs Beth Phoenix
As of reported lately, every suspended guy shouldnt appear on the next PPV after their suspension (Thanks to Triple H backstage Power, we have Trips vs umaga though) What this have to do with the women Championship match?
The answer is simple: NO Kennedy, No king Booker at No Mercy, thus resulting in a Women PPV Match filler. No offense, but Candice shouldnt even be on a PPV, Wrestling.

Unlike many of you, I cant see MVP vs Matt hardy on this PPV. The reason could be well that they need to lose the WWE tag belts first, IMO. Then, a little build up before Cyber Sunday, leading to a match with some "challenging" stipulations" like a Checkers Game, a Crikett Game or the Dangerous Darts Game for the USA Championship.

That's it, maybe when the card is official, I'll make the rest of the preds properly.

Thank you for reading.

im looking forward to cena-orton lms it should be the match of the year although i am not certain which way to go, im cenas biggest fan but he needs to do sumink else like a big rivalry that doesnt envolve the wwe championship, i would love to see a different wwe champion, and would love it to be the cocky, back-stabbing S.O.B randy orton

i will give my predictions once the card is full

I agree with the Last Man Stadning thing from Y 2 Jake. John Cena never lays down for 10 seconds. He has that never give up attitude. I love John Cena but it's time to see the belt change hands and go to Orton. I'm not sure how this one will turn out. But either way I'd like to see Triple H with the title somewhere down the road.

really hoping for a shelton vs hardy match for the IC belt on this one...i think they have time to build it a little over the next couple weeks, and I think this one could go off in spectacular fashion

Im also hoping we get our MVP matt hardy payoff..even though MVP is one of my favorite wrestlers, Id almost rather have him drop it, so A.Matt can have a singles title, and we can have a cute little "how far have we come" segemnt in the locker room between him and jeff lol and B. becuase I think MVP can move on to bigger things...I dont think he can legitimately WIN the title right now, but I think he would make a good transition contender for either Batista or the Undertaker...

Im also hoping for the return of Mr.Kennedy, in a promo roll at the very least..and of course a chris jericho return would be great, but thats probably wishfull thinking lol

Given that Batista, Undertaker, Mark Henry, Khali and Rey are currently taking up the main event spot on SmackDown!, it's doubtful that MVP would be able to squeeze in there.

Not only that, but who would that leave as an opponent for Hardy? Dykstra? Masters? They barely get TV time as it is. Finlay is a possibility. So is Palumbo, given the push he's getting. I suppose Kane could fit in there as well......although, I'm not too keen on seeing Kane vs Hardy again.

My guess is that we'll be seeing a triple threat match for the ECW Title. I see Morrison interfering in the Dreamer/Burke match. Or then again it could be a 4-Way. But Dreamer shouldn't be getting a ECW Title shot at his age. It wont give the belt any credability. Morrsion, Punk & Burke aren't read for the title. But at some point they will all be superstars.

It's all but announced that Jeff Hardy will face Shelton. Can't say that I'm excited about that match. Hopefully Haas returns and costs Jeff the title.

And I see another match between Cade/Murdock and London/Kendrick. Enjoyed there last match. It's a shame the WWE fans couldn't have cared less.

If they truly don't let Cena in the match...which they COULD do, theoretically, by just having Orton dominate from the very beginning of the match with a cheap move before Cena is even out into the ring, then my guesses:

A). Battle Royal - Winner is either HHH, Kennedy, or Orton. If its HHH, we see Orton/HHH for a while. If its Kennedy, I'm not sure, they'd probably just move up the Kennedy/HHH storyline. If its Orton, we'll see what we were going to see, minus Cena, so you'd see a lot of Orton against those that don't deserve title shots right now, like Rhodes.

B). Some kind of combination of a few people. Candidates include Kennedy, Orton, HHH, Umaga, Carlito, and Jeff Hardy (if they're going to try to balance it so HHH isn't the only face, seeing as Hardy is their #2 guy now).

Definitely what isn't going to happen is that the following people have NO shot whatsoever of being the main event man, let alone winning the championship:

Shelton Benjamin, Lance Cade, Daivari, Hacksaw, Charlie Haas, Hardcore Holly, Kendrick, London, Santino Marella, Highlanders, Trevor Murdoch, Cody Rhodes, Ron Simmons, Snitsky, Super Crazy, and Val Venis. That literally leaves the guys I mentioned above this paragraph as the only contenders. If the match DOES involve HHH and/or Umaga, then my guess is the card will be changed on the spot so-to-speak or we'll see an announcement tonight on ECW or integrated into the Smackdown broadcast, telling us of a few more matches. If you take away the Umaga/HHH match AND the Orton/Cena, and combine the two into one match, you're left with only four matches...one of which is a women's title defense, another being a Khali/Batista match, another being a filler Mysterio/Finlay........and you're looking at one horrible ppv lol.

So....wow this post is getting longer than I expected, lol....possible filler matches or matches they haven't added yet:

1. Londrick vs Cade/Murdoch vs Highlanders
2. MVP / Matt Hardy situation (either a tag team title defense or the united states title, finally)
3. Jeff Hardy vs Shelton Benjamin
4. Undertaker vs ???? (God let's hope not Mark Henry)
5. Cruiserweight Open (Obviously Noble, Moore, or Wang Yang are the only plausible winners)

i dont know what they are going to do for the wwe title match here is what i think they should do. take all and i mean all the names of the roster it odesnt matter raw smackdown and ecw. put them in a hat and draw out 6 names and have a money in the bank style match for the wwe championship i think it would be the only fair way to do it. but you know the wwe they wont do something different . it will be s.o.s. ( same ol s**t) and either hhh or orton will get the title. i mean my idea looks good on paper but they dont have wrestling matches on paper they have them in television sets.

Updated card = Updated predictions

WWE Championship: Who knows what they're doing here. As I've stated in other threads, the only three logical options I see for them are Orton, Kennedy, and HHH, and the one that makes the most sense for building feuds and stretching things out over time is Orton. Whether its a singles competition, a Last Man Standing match, a Battle Royal, who knows, but I'll say that there's a 90% chance Orton will leave as the champ.

Batista vs. The Great Khali: Batista will retain and drop it to the Undertaker or Edge soon.

CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V: Winner will be CM Punk by disqualification, since they want to keep building BDV up as a monster but don't want him to win the title.

Triple H vs. Umaga: Triple H wins so that on Raw, McMahon can "punish" him by making him start a feud with Orton, the new WWE champion.

Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay: Mysterio wins either by DQ or a straight pin.

MVP & Matt Hardy vs. The Undertaker & Kane: I can't see the Undertaker being booked into a losing match, but I don't know why they would place him in the position to be a tag team rather than striving for the WHC. So I'll assume here that MVP and Matt Hardy get counted out or DQ'ed when MVP does something to mess it up.

Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix: Phoenix I guess. I don't care.

So there you go. We get one definitive new champion with the WWE title, the WHC is retained along with the ECW title, a possible new women's division champion, and a 70/30 shot for a retained tag team title. Typical WWE ppv fashion where you don't have 3 title changes or more.

the wwe have credited randy orton with injuring john cena but what i think would've been better is if they credited kennedy with injuring cena so that because kennedy injured cena he should get the shot at orton at no mercy, the match would be heel vs. heel but in the match kennedy would be over with the fans like a babyface and then he could win the title and hold it until wrestlemania where he loses the title to triple h but the thing with hhh and orton is i think they would be more suitable to win the world title than the wwe title but wwe and world titles are both the same so i guess it dont matter, so basically i what im tryin to say is as kennedy doesnt have a match at no mercy i think he should be the one to face orton for the wwe title

my no mercy predictions

mr kennedy defeats randy orton in the last man standing match to win the wwe title

batista defeats the great khali in the punjabi prison match to retain the world title

cm punk defeats big daddy v by countout to retain the ecw title

triple h defeats umaga

rey mysterio defeats finlay

beth phoenix defeats candice michelle to win the womens title

the undertaker and kane defeat matt hardy and mvp to win the wwe tag team titles

3 title changes
2 titles retained

Undertaker and Kane vs Hardy and MVP match is not taking place at No Mercy...It was announced on Smackdown tonight that the match will take place on the Next Friday Night Smackdown...During a commericial break right before the Mysterio vs. Khali match. The Bros of Destruction Re-Unite and they did not mention if the titles will be on the line...If it happens at No Mercy then it will be non-title and then on Smackdown Taker and Kane will get a shot at the gold cuz most likely they will win at No Mercy...

So I don't know about any of you, but if this is the final card for No Mercy... I'm not going to order it. This really seems to be a filler PPV and I expect many if not all of these matches to happen again in the future. With the exception of the Punjabi Prison match. Sure I wonder who the WWE title will go to, but all in all whoever is involved with the match will probably be feuding. Espically if it's a battle Royal the last two guys will feud... So all in all I'm not expecting much from No Mercy, but I do expect it to really set the stage for both Cyber Sunday and Survivor Series

Anyone noticed how they've booked loads of potential matches but just haven't announced them yet?

A match between MVP & Matt Hardy. It's got to happen this month, or they've got to have a tag title match.

Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton.

A Cruiserweight Title match to crown a new champion.

Cade & Murdock vs. London & Kendrick

Palumbo vs. Masters

Cody Rhodes vs. Hardcore Holly

Some of them aren't ever going to make it to PPV. But for once it's good that if a match is announced just before the PPV it wont just be thrown together.

WWE then announce Kenny Dykstra vs. Tommy Dreamer and render my post pointless.
