D-Man and IC25's Official NJexus HQ

That's too bad, it would have been a riot if he just said, "No." I would love to see Jericho there, but only if he was in Y2J mode, I don't think I'd get pumped up for him coming back if it was to insult me in a complex manner.

Where did you and D meet him, IC?

Damn dude, that's way up past Paterson, totally out of my jurisdiction. I don't think I've ever been to Ridgewood, or at least not in recent memory.

It takes about half an hour to get ANYWHERE in Northern New Jersey, which is one more reason I love where I'm from. Still, besides Paramus Park Mall and possibly a random Guitar Center in the area, I don't think I've spent any time in or around Ridgewood.

If I could meet any wrestler, I'd pick Mick Foley, and then Edge, but THEN I'd pick Jericho. He seems like a pretty good guy that wouldn't be afraid to interact with the fans.

Seriously. I mean, it seems that the minds of the average wrestling fan has been poisoned ever since the Attitude Era. Guys like Mick Foley are worshiped for the mutilation of his body and his mic work in the past. I've never felt that blood, violence, and psychotic behavior enhanced my personal preferences for the product. And I especially never felt that Mick's microphone work was exceptional.

Go figure.

I liked the fued he had with flair, but other then that I can't think of a time where his mic work has had Me think it was anything impressive. I feel that when flair said something along the lines of "you're nothing but a glorified stuntman (I think it was that?) that it was the truest thing Flair has ever said. If it wasn't for his hardcore matches where would he be today?

well that's how I feel about it. He would never of lasted if he started off in the PG era.

(I'm not going to lie, I had to check then to make sure I was not posting in the GSD section :lmao:)

I am not sure that people wanting to meet Foley stems from his willingness to mutilate himself, put over other talent or his psychology on the mic.

Surely most of it comes from the kind of person that his autobiographies suggest that he is - an amiable sort of fellow who you might be able to have an interesting conversation with that is not just about Hell in a Cell or wrestling in general.

I think Chris Jericho tops many of the "would like to meet" polls for similar reasons

That feud in TNA with Flair was such a fucking bust. I don't see how anyone could have thought it was worth watching. I changed the channel in the middle of every one of their promos that contained nothing more than incessant ramblings and ego battles. Their matches were just blood baths and had no rhyme or reason.

I have no idea what you're talking about :lmao: I'm talking about the one on raw a few years back. that led into an I quit match that saw Melina turn on Foley. I must be mixed up with somebody else???

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. That's exactly why I'd like to meet Foley. When it comes to favorite wrestlers to watch, Mick probably doesn't crack my top 20, but he's a damn interesting guy and has the reputation as one of the most down to earth wrestlers to ever compete at the level that he did. He's funny, nice, and he seems like he's not afraid to speak his mind. His commentating at ECW ONS 05 shows that he's not afraid to speak his mind even if it puts him at odds with his superiors or fellow wrestlers so long as he keeps the fans entertained.

TNA tried to capitalize on the success of the first Foley-Flair feud (which WAS very good) by having their own version, and low and behold... it sucked. I'm pretty sure D-Man knew that, he was just referencing TNA's version.

Not joking. I actually think IC has a lot of perspective to gain from defending Mysterio.
