I feel this was a legit shoot. During the attitude era wrestlers were given leeway all the time to break the 4th wall and say what was on their minds. It almost never happens these days but last night was one of the few instances where it did.
Punk didn't just break down the 4th wall. He imploded the entired foundation. It may originally have been scheduled to be a typical end of show promo from Punk, but he clearly went off script and spoke about his own honest frustrations that he's felt during his time with WWE. If it were a worked shoot, it would have been ALL about John Cena. But Punk said from the beginning that it had nothing to do with him or there match. He spoke about Dwayne, and John Laurenitis, Vinces doofus son in law, ROH, Colt Cabana, Heymnan, and even tna via Hulk Hogan.
My guess is WWE has pulled the plug on Punk entirely. There will be no match with Cena. He's gone.
I just wish he would have LITERALLY burned a bridge on his way out like Homer Simpson did when he quit the nuclear power plant. lol
