wrestlezone reported this.........We believe that TNA's big announcement will be an upgraded TV timeslot or an announcement of a star coming into the promotion Goldberg (who has been in talks with TNA), Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho or possibly Chris Benoit.
To comment on this and some of your opinions, There's no way trish stratus comming to TNA will be "the huge announcement that will change wrestling" that TNA is making especially since Vince allowed her to retire with the championship, it would be unprofessional in her part in my opinion for her to come in with the WWE woman's championship and pull an Alundra Blaze A.K.A. Madusa. Some might say business is business but I think that she wants to prove to Vince that he didn't make a mistake by allowing her to retire WWE woman's champion. Now she can still go, but she shouldn't do the thing with throwing the belt in the trash. Vince Russo working for TNA is also not the announcement because TNA has allready reported that. Eric Bishoff comming doesn't really change wrestling because you allready have Cornette in the role Eric would be in. Kurt Angle cooming is possible but I don't think it's it either, Angle leaving the WWE was for many reasons, personal, and physical. He has been thinking of joining another organization but TNA isn't it. I think that Kurt will be going to the WWE when he works out all his things with his injuries and personal family issues. Jericho comming isn't it either because he was recently interviewed by Ashley M. and he told her he was thinking of returning to the WWE. Goldberg comming to TNA could happen, but that's FAR from a huge announcement in my opinion. Brock Lesner on the otherhand is very plausable. Benoit jumping ship would be a HUGE disapointment for WWE fans who are waiting for his return although he was supposed to go on some house shows in the WWE in October and is preparing for his WWE return so maybe that's also not happening. Smackdown needs Benoit ASAP. I think that as far as the 2 hour thing is concerned, i highly doubt that a 2 hour show, or change of timeslot is the "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" TNA has been raving about , unless it is going up against RAW and i don't think they are ready for that type of competition. The reason I don't feel it's the announcement is because it's been all over the wrestling internet for weeks. I rather the announcement come from left field, and nixes everybody's predictions of it. Even though I'm not a TNA fan, I rather it be something different from what has been already predicted. That's not to say the 2 hour show in a different time slot isn't going to happen cuz i think that is still going to happen, but being that's already out in the open and in the public it should be something nobody expects. It could be Ted Turner buying them out but we'll see. Its been reported that only 3 officials have knowledge of the content of the announcement and all 3 signed confidentiality aggreements saying they wouldn't say anything to the public or wrestling media. Information always leaks out but I think this is a sittuation well the information is going to be kept a secret until the ending of tonights TNA PPV.
