they probably hired Angle and its going to be the big announcement when in fact Angle is nothing more than a knock off of UFC's Ken Shamrock. so if the bringing in of Kurt Angle is the "huge" announcement, its not going to matter, because when he went to ECW, he couldnt handle it, what makes you think he can handle guys similar to the ECW roster? just in a different company. its probably going to be Angle, who cares, he sucks.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Kurt Angle, a knockoff of UFC's Ken Shamrock? Are you insane? Kurt Angle will go down as one of the best wrestlers of all time. Couldn't handle ECW? What's not to handle? It's the same thing as Raw and Smackdown only with crappier wrestlers and a 1 hour time slot. It's not like it has hardcore rules anymore. You are insane, and a statement like that just shows that you know nothing about wrestling. Period.

How about this" Ok I know Jeff is my son but he sucks **** therefore I'm firing him and giving the belt to Samoa Joe, the best wrestler on this side of the galaxy."

Your right in some points. Angle isn't a rip off of anyone he is one of the greatest of all time. But I think Angle couldn't handle wrestling at all any more. Even if you put him on another show it still would have turned out the same. He needs this time off.Period.

Monday night war ending with a TNA buyout from Vince Mcmahon

Ok, going to say this again...there will NOT be a buyout, because TNA is not for sale. Not only that, but TNA's financial backers have deeper pockets than Vince McMahon. WCW wasn't bought because they were struggling financially. WCW was bought because Turner was selling it because he wanted out of wrestling, and Bischoff couldn't get any financial backers in time. Again...TNA will NOT be bought by the WWE.

While I agree that Samoa Joe would be kickass as a champion, Jeff Jarret is not Dixie Carter's son. In fact, I believe Dixie and Jeff are around the same age...

I don't think it's going to be a wrestler. I think it's going to be a two hour timeslot, because that IS going to be something that people years from now will be talking about how that brought TNA to another level. If it is a wrestler, it's gonna have to be someone HUGE! And no, Bill Goldberg is not huge enough. It would have to be someone like Ric Flair.

...Hogan... or Piper..?

Maybe... MICK FOLEY!!!!!!!! that would be gunit.

lol

OK sumone smack that guy who said that shit bout Kurt Angle...Kurt Angle is probably on the list of the 10 top wrestlers of all time...a Ken Shamrock knockoff...ummmm WHAT? Ken Shamrock wishes he was as good as Angle...

oh and to the post if it is not a 2 hour timeslot...then i'm gonna go with Goldberg.

Dixie Carter is sending a message, so it has to be big.

Let me throw some possable things out there:

1. Eric Bischoff being brought in to actually add some real leadership and better storylines.
2. The signing of Goldberg and another Major star.
3. Announcing a monthly special live show from some big venue (ALA Clash of the Champions).
4. 8 o'clock monday timeslot for the current one hour show.

I'am thinking that this announcement could be multiple things in order to gain major recognition.

TNA can take on WWE real soon because Vince is deluding his product; There are too many world champs so the titles are less glorious and mediocre talent can become WWE Champion.

I know this is a long shot but it was a funny Idea that just came into my mind... TNA buys the name WCW and Monday Night Nitro from Vince... :twak:

I hope TNA isnt dumb enough to sign someone like Goldbeg, one of the worst wrestlers ever.

I'm going with the 2 hour time slot - not on Monday.

It would be like WCW Signing Hogan ---- Hogan isn't known to be a good actually wrestler, but is known as a character... Goldberg could do the samething for them... Hogan is what launched WCW's success...

... I think this is just another stupid ploy TNA is gonna try to get more people to order the PPV... They say "News that will change wrestling" about everything.. Its gettin a little old.. Its prob going to be like Bobby Roodes manager or something stupid...

Hogan and Piper are tied to no competes with the WWE for another year from memory. And besides Piper has been in TNA before - how would this be something BIG!! its already happened and as recently as 18 months ago. And I hope to never see Hogan in a TNA ring unless he is an authority figure, i.e. playing the boss, or a championship committee member, etc.

Eric Bischoff IMO would be a welcome move and would be pretty big, but what would be the point of that seeing as how they just recently brought in Cornette - who is doing a great job, as expected.

Goldberg would not be a big deal for me and I think for many others, and would in fact be a letdown for such a hyped announcement.

If they signed 'The Rock' - it would be the equivalent of WCW signing Hogan back in 1994 (I think it was 1994). Seriously if one guy could bring about a new Monday Night Wars it could only be The Rock. And as we all know he's to busy making movies and pissing on the industry that made him every chance he gets. He doesn't even acknowledge questions about his wrestling career in interviews anymore. So that wont be happening anytime soon. But anyway...

The acquisition of Kurt Angle would be a personal wet dream come true, lol. As would a two-hour primetime spot, becuase to be honest this one hour thing is getting old. Ive grown accustomed to it and my body has developed an immunity to it - I NEED A LARGER DOSE FOR MY WEEKLY FIX. And until WWE stops serving up crap and until ROH has more frequent events or a TV deal really, i can only get it from TNA.

Big wrestlers could be it, but the only guy I can think of who would fit the bill as a "massive star" and be free to work for them is Chris Jericho... the announcement is almost like his WWE debut with the "Millenium Man" thing...so it could be...

But most likely is the live 2 hour show...

its not gonna be that big, unless vince has bought out TNA. now THATS a major announcement. he would just screw it up anywayz.

As far as Im concerned TNA are yet to dissapoint with announcements. WWE usually hypes bullshit announcements - i.e. a few weeks ago even, when Kennedy said he had a major announcement, so he says hes going to RAW but it doesnt happen. This happens a lot in WWE in my experience and I've watched it for 15 years.

This reminds me a lot of the announcement they made regarding the move to Spike TV, during the period where they went dark on the internet only with Impact! They said basically the same stuff but to a lesser degree of ""OMG!! BIG TIME NEWS!!"" This leads me to believe it must be something with their TV deal. I doubt it will be touring, becuase they never made a big deal about the announcement of BFG being in Detroit, they simply said it during a PPV. The fact that they are hyping this announcement from beforehand makes me think it IS actually something big.

As far as acquisitions go - I doubt it. Christian was never hyped beforehand, well not in this way at least. There was absolutely no hype about Sting - his bat and trench coat simply appeared in the ring at the end of Turning Point. No hype about Scotty Steiner - again at least not in this way (only Jarrett saying he had someone on speed dial). For it to be hyped in this way and for it to be an announcement that is totally removed from the TNA in-ring product, and the fact that TNA corporate is announcing it and not one of their on-screen personalities IMO pretty much eliminates the chances of this being about someone new coming in.

11)That they are going hardcore to show wwe and that so called ecw how it's done. hey they do have alot of old ecw guy as well as abssy.it could be awesome if done right like the old Ecw days. and if os get New Jack.
12)If they signed 'The Rock' - it would be the equivalent of WCW signing Hogan back in 1994 (I think it was 1994).
