Worst Date for TNA PPV

Are you people serious? 9/11 is a holiday just like Memorial Day, Veterans Day. There is no rule that says any events cannot be booked on 9/11.

The 9/11 memorial show goes from 9am to 2pm. THAT'S IT. It's not a all day affair.

There is NFL, MLB and Tennis games currently going on at this very moment. Why the hell would a wrestling PPV be such a problem?

Threads like this are damn near sad. I mean come on. The PPV airs at 8pm, not am. There is over 300 shows that isn't covering 9/11 airing currently, should they be canceled too?

The PPV is fine. I'm sure they will do a moment of silence or something. It's not like they book it on 9/11 every year.

While I agree that there are now rules that says you cant book anything for this day...there are no rules for that PERIOD. We have football on Thanksgiving and Christmas...does that mean the NFL is against holidays? No.

However, this was a NATIONAL TRAGEDY. Just because the Government is running memorials from 9am-2pm, doesn't mean no one else has to. News programs and sporting events are the only thing that really needs to do some sort of tribute.

Football and baseball are American sports just as much as soccer is a European sport, thats why they all start with NATIONAL.

If something is going to fall on 9/11, or around that time, then its only right to do some sort of tribute. Hell, RAW tonight didn't fall on 9/11, but they still did a tribute. But I suppose in your mind that was uncalled for.

WWE was the first LIVE program and first SPORTING EVENT to go on after that day. Its only right that, even if the PPV wasn't on Sunday, TNA do some sort of tribute on Thursday. In fact I would be appalled if they didn't do anything on Sunday OR Thursday. Yes at the time of this I know they did something Sunday, but I still think they should do something on Thursday.

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong, or offensive, with having the PPV on 9/11. I was thinking in the terms of business, they're going up against a lot that will hurt their ratings.

Maybe, but what else could they do? They couldn't have made the PPV earlier anyways or else they would have done it. They couldn't have held it on the 18th, WWE has a PPV on that date. They couldn't cancel it anyways, so they were stuck no matter what.
