Here's another option, Ted Turner might be working on buying a part of the company and adding his finicial backing. You know that he is Ticked off that he lost WCW to Vince.

I was talking to my friends today and the topic of Ted Turner came up. Apparently there was a rumor out there that he was looking at getting back into the wrestling bussiness after he left his company. The only thing that was keeping him from doing it was that it wouldn't be on TV. We speculated that he could invest into TNA since it is already on TV nationally. If Ted did do this It wouldn't be a surprise that he brought in Bischoff to add credablity to the product (He is better know to the average fan). Bischoff would easily recruite big names to widen the fan base and have them fued with the younger guys to give them exposure.

^Ted is loaded with money and could compete with McMahon overnight (which he already proved). I believe he still owns the Braves and I know he is one of the (if not THE) wealthiest landowners in the U.S. He's got enough money to literally swim in. Wrasslin' is like a hobby for him.

Not a bad idea. Alot of people didnt realize that one of the conditions of WWE buying WCW was that Turner could not get back into wrestling intil August of 2006. So with that being said, it could very well be it. I dont think so, but with wrestling nowadays, you really cant tell until you see it

Damn straight.

I know right

I am hoping for a quality show soon to kick Vince in the pants instead of the continuing Stale WWE. Wrestling was alot better when the WWE had competition.

While until the creative geniuses and Vince get a grasp on what direction to drive the WWE, we will be getting the same ol' storyline that we have been getting. That definatley includes him coming off the air and giving the airtime back to where it belongs and that's to the in ring performers

I highly doubt the Ted Turner thing, but it would be fuckin sweet. But I hate it when people keep saying TNA cant compete with the WWE money-wise. PLEASE PEOPLE try to REMEMBER it this time: PANDA ENERGY HAS DEEPER POCKETS THAN THE WWE.

And for those unaware Panda Energy is the parent company of TNA. Thats right, OMG for the billionth time - NO!!!! Jerry Jarret does not own TNA and hasnt for 3 years now. The only thing holding TNA back is the fact that Mr. Carter (the owner of Panda) wants to see TNA performing at a higher level before he starts throwing money at it.

But back to topic - purely for the interest it would generate and the rebirth of the Turner/McMahon rivalry - Turner becoming a partner in TNA and having Bischoff come in would be awesome!! A further announcement of TNA moving to two-hours on a Monday night and that they would begin touring nationally for Impact! by January would be every wrestling fan's greatest dream come true through one single segment.

Its good to dream.

If Turner got envovled, they could have live programming this week, if it did happen. Imagine the Media HYPE! Right now the problem is that there is nothing to peak the publics interest for TNA.

SO TRUE. Turner throwing himself back into the wrestling business would definately be an interest point for mainstream media and it would turn heads as it would spark a whole new round of discussion about The Wrestling Wars being on again. And TNA could even use it as a tool to say that 'Turner is Out For Revenge' as a way to plug themselves. Yeah it would definately create some hype and wake some people up to TNA.

Yeah we should start sending him messages to urge him to put some backing behind TNA...

I hope that they do get a better time slot and two hours. For one, It is too late at night for those in the est. If a segment is boring I tend to fall asleep with the TV on. The second thing is that the show always starts of strong, has a good middle, but fails at the end of the show most of the time. They need to focus on having a just as strong or stronger ending than beginning. The one hour doesn't give enough time for the storyline and everything feels rushed, and having two to three matches don't satisfy.

One thing that they improved on is that the taping doesn't look like it was edited by some kid in junior high with some scotch tape.

i think that its gonna be that... ted turner bought out the World Wildlife Fund, and shut it down. Then he owns the term WWF... see where I'm going here? TNA is no longer TNA come Sunday... but it will be WWF. World Wrestling Federation.

I would really like to see Jericho....and that's about it
not a major annoucement but just wanna see Jericho in TNA
hes' one of the best wrestlers of all time TNA needs jericho

as far as Sunday goes i hope it's something amazing that no one ever thought of i mean it's natural to assume that TNA is going 2 hours but what if it's something else like....just my imagination....but what if something crazy like Shane McMahon wants to compete against his dad and is now the new face of TNA...we know it won't happen but if it's something like a 2 hour show I'll be happy but not shocked

I put that Idea out months and months ago
The New WWF vs. WWE
In others words The new era of wrestling, this infact would be HUGE
but TNA/WWF would need some major stars, sorry but AJ Styles and Somoa Joe may be entertaining, but most non internet.wrestling fans wouldnt know who they are. TNA in my opinion is a crap name, I've never liked it,
Total Nonstop Action sounds like a 5 hour porno dvd. The fact the ring is six-sided never worked for me, nor did the fact they broadcast all their shows from the same building. Kurt Angle likely wont be in TNA because he stated that he didnt want to compete against Vince, Scott Hall's return maybe possible. IMO TNA should be on Tuesdays at 10pm TNAvs.ECW, eventually working their way to Monday Nights.

Dixie Carter makes her big announcment, TNA to Monday Nights as Vince Mcmahons music hits!! Coming to the ring to declare WAR on TNA. And announces the signing of AJ Styles!!! What, one can dream.

Has anybody thought of the possibility of Panda Energy selling TNA to Vince. Rememeber the sell of WCW. Most people didnt know about that until the day before. In wrestling, you never know until it happens. Personnally i dont think its the signing of another wrestler. This is something that is suppose to change the course of the industry...what better outcome would it be then Vinnie Mac buying panda energy's interest of TNA. I would say WOW!!!!

Dixie Carter isn't giving up TNA... I think it is more likely that Ted Turner invests into TNA... Or perhaps announcing Ted Turner buying Spike TV from Viacom and going 50/50 with TNA...

How 'bout either Brock Lesnar or Bill Goldberg actually showing up, that would certainly create waves through the industry especially considering how badly WWE fans want good ol' Brock back, also the Turner experiment is a strong possibility

Something has caught my eye when visiting the TNA website. Maybe it's a hint?! Check out the Spy Hunter advertisement! Its been there since the announcement about the announcement... http://www.tnawrestling.com/index2.html Could it be??? Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in TF'NA!!!????

Yeah I have seen that ad... it would be great for TNA would definately up the ratings thats for sure.... but thats not going to happen... I have seen that add on many different websites even on WWE.com... so I dont thin there is a chance in hell that The Rock is going to TNA.

I think it could be a timeslot thing or Ted Turner buying in somehow... I dont think a single wrestler would change the industry as we know it not even Angle, The Rock, Brock or Goldberg going to TNA.... know if they all went there thats another matter.. lol

If Ted bought into TNA, he could sign whoever he wants that is currently not under contract with the WWE at any cost...

Omg It's About Impact! Expanding 2 Hours Why Doesnt Anybody (not Everyone!) Get That?
