I think WWE are building towards a Cena vs. Orton match in the coming years.. No one wants to see it right now because they've had match after gimmick match and on ppv's such as breaking point, hell in a cell.. So Orton now being on the blue brand, we can see fresh feuds.. and then maybe WM 30 we'll finally see a match between Cena and Orton in the main event..

Honestly, we should have seen this match at WMXXIV, but they made it a triple threat match...

I've got to agree with the right honourable posters saying Cena & Orton will happen again one day. They are this generation's equivalent to Rock and Austin, in terms of being consistently over and always in or around the main event scene.

Wrestlemania 30, WWE and World Heavyweight Championship unification match, face Orton, heel Cena, is my humble prediction.

I find it funny how people bash Orton for only caring about himself and nobody else. But yet this is now 3 years in a row thats hes gonna be in a mid card match at a Mania.

And he's one of the top 2-3 guys in WWE now.

A lot of this can get a little silly too. What is headlining WM? Best match? Most hyped match? last match? world title matches? People use different criteria.
Please read my thread carefully, this doesnt just go for you, this goes more some of the people who say hes headlined WM 22, 24, 25 etc. NO, that's not headlining. When i mean headline i mean like for example WrestleMania 28 this year Rock vs Cena. And some of u do get the thread stating Orton vs Cena headlining Mania in a few years as well as Punk vs Orton vs Cena possibly the best Triple threat match that will ever take place in WrestleMania history.

Ortons had many great Mania matches against guys like Rey M., Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, HHH, Cena, and more recently CM Punk.

But i do have to say he hasn't had that huge Wrestlemania win to me. I would like Orton to be in a Main Event at Mania. The build wouldn't be bad, and depending on who he is facing, the match could be a classic.

Maybe we will see Orton vs Sheamus next year?

There's no real way to answer this question since it's all speculation but I'd say he will definitely headline in the next few years depending on if they are going to keep bringing in stars for these one off WM moments aka rock vs. cena best out of 3 matches or Austin vs. Punk. Then too you have to think that when Taker retires he will likely do it at WM and that match would probably (or should) headline. Orton's young enough though that he will get his moment before he's too broken down and burnt out to shine in it.

I know I know Im jumping the gun this WM hasnt happened yet but with this WM focused around Era vs Era with Cena/Rock and Punk/Jericho what would you rather see at Next years WM.

CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

or

the end of Era's Match
Rock, Steve Austin, Triple H and Mick Foley vs John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton and CM Punk

or

Brock Lesner vs Undertaker

I know they are random matches but Punk/Austin is a dream match, The end of Era's Match looks good on paper and would give all the Attitude fans closer on that Era with a big match with the top guys who succeeded them and the Lesner/Undertaker match would properly get 100 Buys on its own

so what do you think?

the end of an era match seems more to me like the nest Summerslam or Survivor series match ever, but still not worthy of Mania, at least not to be the big draw.

It will be tough, I guess for me it would have to be Punk and Austin, if they wanted to go that similar to this years that is.

Lesner/Taker is likely as well

Huge Austin fan. Would love to see him up against CM Punk. But then who wouldn't love to see Lesnar try and beat the streak?

The ONLY one I would want to bring back to face Taker would be Goldberg. Hype up both of their personal win streaks. I don't care one shit about Brock Lesnar. Barely care about Taker for that matter. He is broken down, and IF they book him to wim and go to 20-0 then he should retire. Why have him try again for 21-0 and end up being 20-1?? This manufactured "streak" has barely been believeable post 10-0. Goldberg would be in better shape by a long shot, and doing business for Taker would never happen.

I would like to see another retirement match? Maybe Cena (heel) vs. Ziggler or Miz (face) - a different approach than what we have been seeing.

Barrett (face) vs. Kofi (heel)

Cody against Ryder

Stuff like that. But after this WM, I don't need to see Taker defending a "streak"...

id love to see Punk vs Austin next year it wouldnt be the best match ever but i think the promos leading up to it would be awesome and the match would draw more fans then rock and cena is. and even though they have fueded in the past id love to see brock lesnar vs the undertaker next year at wrestlemania espically if brock came back atleast a few monthes before undertakers back and is on a unbeaten unstoppable role it would be a pretty entertaining match and i think brock could easily be built as a threat to end the streak.

An ERA match.. Rock and HHH vs Cm Punk and Cena... Del Rio (c) verses Wade Barret...brock lesnar verse Goldberg II, undertaker verses Sting, Jey Uso verses Cody Rhodes, Kane verses a more serious zack ryder, rey mysterio verses sin cara, hunico verses Dolph Ziggler, randy orton (c) vs chris jericho, Big Show verse Shaq .

Did everyone forget about Randy Orton vs Stone Cold? I'd rather see Punk vs Austin, but I'm just saying.

Out of the three you listed, I'd love to see Lesnar vs Taker, but it would have to be a specialty match. Last man standing? Ultimate Submission? Something different. I would say HIAC part 2, but Taker and Hunter are doing that this year.

Not on your list, two matches I would love to see at Mania are the following:

Taker vs Sheamus would be awesome in a 3 stages of hell match. 1st fall Singles match, Second fall Submission match, 3rd fall Last man standing. I would have Sheamus win the first fall. It would be a huge boost for his career to pin Taker at Wrestlemania, and it wouldn't blemish Taker's record. Obviously I'd give fall 2 and 3 to Undertaker, but I think it would be awesome.

Another match would be CM Punk vs Roddy Piper. CM Punk reminds me so much of Piper it's scary and I think these guys can have an amazing verbal feud, and a pretty good match in the ring. Piper is way past his prime, but he can still go, and Punk is more than capable of covering up Piper's flaws.

I would enjoy Austin/Punk for most of the reasons already mentioned the promo work would be pretty great even if the match wasn't upto much.

Presuming Lesnar was available I would actually love to see him up against Orton the fued could be built and promoted as the two most physical and dangerous stars in the WWE going at it.

I'd then have Cena/Undertaker, as Cena is one of the only people left who it could be believed is capable of legitimately ending the streak and the heat and atmosphere would be crazy. This has to happen before Taker retires.

With the rumours that Rocks onboard for WM 29 too I'd pit him against the Miz, the promo work could be epic and with Miz's ties to the entertainment/celebrity world a fued resonating around the most 'Hollywood' superstar in WWE would be plausible.

I'm aware this is all pretty star packed, extremely unlikely to happen, full of non-full time AE wrestlers and would undermine the younger talent but its my dream card and is just fantasy booking so heyho.

I Really like CM Punk vs Stone Cold. But I think It's even more intriguing if CM Punk goes back to the Straight Edge Gimmick so they can have some real fun with the story.

I totally agree with Lesnar vs Orton!

Rock said he wants to do something he's never done. So he goes after The Streak, it's believable Rock could beat Taker. Also Rock/Taker never had a big memorable program together.

With Cena I give him Jericho. Why? Jericho has never beaten Cena in his whole career. So you make it a Retirement match. If Jericho can't beat Cena he Retires.

Just a few ideas that might be interesting IMO.

I really don't want to see anything more from the attitude era. It's over, move on. With that said, Lesnar vs Cena would be a match I'd be interested in. Maybe Cena vs Taker. I don't see CM Punk being in the position he's in by that point, but I've been wrong before. Once.

With any luck I'll be attending WrestleMania 29, this is what I'd like to ideally see at the top of the card:

World Heavyweight Championship - CM Punk (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Royal Rumble Winner)

WWE Championship - Alberto Del Rio (C) vs. Cody Rhodes

The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho

1. CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

2. Rock, Steve Austin, Triple H and Mick Foley vs John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton and CM Punk

3. Brock Lesner vs Undertaker

1. Punk vs Austin at WrestleMania 29 would be epic and worthy of a slot on the show especially since Punk would had time to build himself up nicely.

2. End of an era, how about we'll end that theory now?

3. Along with Austin/Punk bout Brock taking on the Undertaker could happen and would be cool, WWE set that up nicely when HHH said it's not good business so someone in WWE ending it would be ******ed but bring the guy in who hold a bunch of singles wins over Taker who holds like one win over Brock so you've got that "intangible force vs the immovable object".

So 1 & 3 would be doable and awesome, 2 would suck.

John Cena vs The Undertaker @ next year's WrestleMania...

Submission Match

Either Undertaker's streak ends... or Cena's "Never Say Die" attitude fails him and he finally breaks down by submitting.

I'm personally not a big fan of submission matches because they're rarely done where the finish isn't a totally predictable setup.

----

Randy Orton vs Stone Cold Steve Austin @ next year's WrestleMania

Viper vs Rattlesnake... RKO vs Stunner

Similar nicknames, similar finishing maneuvers (sorta, although the Diamond Cutter would be the catalyst that'd connect the two)

Seems like it could be marketable. However if Austin isn't in condition to compete in a ring, I'd love to see DDP make a one-time appearance and take on Randy Orton.

----

And finally... (this would never happen but it'd be an awesome dream match)

CM Punk vs Kurt Angle

=====

P.S.

One match I'd love to see (non-WM match) would be a Survivor Series style match between:

Al Snow, Brooklyn Brawler (insert famous Jobbers from the past here) vs Jobbers from the current era

Trying to promo that match would be interesting to say the least.

I wanna see a huge build up into a classic tag team match. We havent seen a classic tag team match in YEARS! I remember watching TLC triple threat Dudleys vs edge & Christian vs hardys and it stole the show and was unbelievable. The last dominate and fun to watch tag team we've seen is london and kendrick or rated rko. I want a huge WM tag match. What I want is ziggler and swagger to run the tag division. They have all the tools and set up, being in the same stable. Both cocky and arrogant, seems so obvious.
WM Ladder Match for the Tag Team gold
Swagger & Ziggler vs Primo and Epico (only if wwe builds them up as they should) id prefer a london kendrick return or maybe air boom. But swag and zig could be the modern day christian and edge. This will also give them more heat for future wwe title runs.

Im sick of 1 match return matches. Yeah its fun, but it does nothing for the future of the company. everyone wants to see a lesnar or stone cole 1 match return but id rather see an epic match with what we have and make them into the next lesnar and austin. If they do happen to do another one, i want months of tv time to build it up rather than 5 weeks before WM.

WWE title
John Cena vs CM punk. This feud is just waiting to happen. But wwe needs to continue to puch punk. They perfectly got him over with the wwe universe but once he was over they backed off. WWE needs to keep making punk the rebel who doesnt take anything from anyone and could just quit at any time. They have turned him into too much of a babyface lately, its annoying. Thats where cena failed. He was way over as a babyface 3 years ago, but they made him cheesy and corny. I hate him, but ill admit that i would love him if he still called his moves F-U and STFU. The minute he started wearing crap about hustle loyalty and respect i hated him. he was legit because he was the good guy that always defied the odds and never backed down. Then he changed to a guy who always did the right thing and did whatever he could do to please the fans and be the best entertainer he could be. I mean shit, kane was destroying him every week and ruining his relationship with his best friend yet he still cracks jokes and smiles. 3 years ago he would be pissed and annihilate kane. im fed up. i like the guy but wwe ruined him. i just hope punk doesnt get sucked into that. anyways if they exxecute a good storyline, this could really work.

World heavyweight title
Randy Orton vs Del Rio vs Sheamus vs Kane vs Rhodes vs Miz
WAY too many 1-on-1 matches. needs somethin with unpredictablility. maybe make this no holds barred. Orton needs to be heel though, he is a god awful face holy fuck. sheamus i really like as a face. triple threats are awesome, fatal 4 way even better, 6-pack challenge.....even better.

IC title vs US title
Sin Cara vs Mason Ryan (please build him up) -next batista
I personally like both these titles, but wwe doesnt do shit with them. horrible story lines. IC title used to have awesome matches. im looking to combine them here so 1 title can go to both shows and have a decent stroyline at least.

Money n the bank
Kofi vs R-truth vs Christian vs Evan Bourne vs Wade Barrett vs Daniel Bryan vs Hunico vs Big show
Although i really want big show to get the title soon (only as a heel) horrible face, he deserves it can would be way over as champ, Barrett takes this one. Mark henry maybe interferes.

Casket Match
Taker vs Jericho
Perhaps jericho has a stable by then and gets help, yet loses.

Smackdown v Raw match
Rey Mysterio vs Ryback

well with The Rock confirmed to be wrestlnig again on the card, the only way we will see Austin is if it is Austin vs Rock IV, play off Austin returning for his first match in 10 years, coming back to avenge his loss to Rock and subsequent 10 years retired.

Austin vs Punk seems good on paper, but Austin isnt going to return for a one off to put over Punk, and it will make zero sense to bury Punk against Austin.

Undertaker Im hoping retires at 20-0 following this years match, I have no desire to see him return for a 6-7 figure paysay and take a spot that one of the hard working guys miss out on like Sheamus and Bryan did last year.
