30 day song challenge

Day 11: A song from your favorite band.

The Killers-Human

My favorite band is the Killers. This was my favorite song on their last album. I love the lyrics. Brandon Flowers is a fantastic vocalist, and this song really hammers home his great voice. He song comes off the Day and Age album, my favorite album in a long time. It had 3 awesome songs, and a couple of other good songs. Great song, my favorite band.

Day 12-Song from a band you hate.

I don't know if you are familiar with this band, but it's part of the emo/pop-punk movement of the earlys/middle 00's. A completely waste of time. Many (emo) teenagers feel identified with their music, because every shit they recored is about pain, love and...nothing more. Yeah they are a bunch of emos, anyway, they fucking suck, I fucking hate them, you know where am I going to right?

Day 12- A song from a band I hate

I might be one of the 4 guys from New Jersey that doesn't like Bon Jovi, but if you've heard one Bon Jovi song you've heard them all, and this one is my least favorite. It sounds like any other Bon Jovi song, and I just don't care for it at all.

Day 12: A Song From A Band You Hate

This is a toughy. I hate oh so many different bands and it's difficult to narrow down one worth picking. I think the band I hate more than anything is Halestorm, but I feel like using someone else this time. I'm using the same bands too often. I'll go ahead and go with:

Evanescence- Bring Me To Life

I have to clarify first of all that this is actually the sole song that doesn't bother me my this band, but it's the first thing that popped up and I wasn't going to sift through all of the other garbage videos they have. I fucking hate Evanescence. I hated them as soon as they started getting all of this praise for having a female singer who "Rocks!!" Bullshit. She's a another dime a dozen singer who isn't any different than any of the chicks that go on fucking American Idol with guitars behind her, no better than the chick from Flyleaf or.... fuck I can't think of anyone else. I'm pissed off just thinking about it now. Fuck Evanescence.

Day 12: A song from a band you hate

I fucking hate Napalm Death. Whatever that shit is that they play, it cannot be classed as music. Quite possibly the worst band I have ever heard, closely followed by Cradle Of Filth.

Napalm Death just make grunting "UHHHHHHHH" vocals, and then scream. Sorry to any fans of theirs on here but I cannot stand them, just untalented noise to me.

day 13 - a song that is a guilty pleasure
Eazy E- Gimme That Nutt

I have no clue why I like this song, it just makes me laugh. My friend showed it to me on night after riding around in his car blaring Boys in the hood. Well we had this as loud as we could riding down the street. It was pretty fucking sweet, we got alot of shitty looks for it. But we had alot of fun.

Day 13-A Song that is a Guilty Pleasure.

The New Kids On The Block-Summertime.

And that's exactly what this song is. I typically wouldn't admit to liking songs from any boy band because I really don't. However this from the New Kids On The Block wins me over. I just enjoy this.

Note:My video is downloading so here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpkCWs2zSNY&feature=artistob&playnext=1&list=TLjwq_Qex8Jy0

Day 13-A Song that is a Guilty Pleasure.

Lol, a guilty pleasure? I have so manys... I'm going to go with the same artist that I wrote in another "guilty pleasure" thread: Enrique Iglesias.

This song, has been a party-favorite lately. Yeah, some Spanish flavor in a party, never hurts. I don't know what, maybe the sampler is amazing, or the un-censored chorus ("tonight I'm fucking you") made this one a great song. Nevertheless, it's still Enrique Iglesias, what the fuck can you expect about this guy? Good music? :disappointed: Plus this song has the greatest youtube comment ever:

this porn has nice music.

Day 14- A song that no one would expect you to like
Baracka Flacka Flames - Head of The State

I don't love the song, but the music video just does it for me. This song allways puts a smile on my face or makes me laugh. I was 17 when Obama went into office and would have voted for him, I think if he had a small bit of hood in him shit would be a little bit flipped around.

This verse made me lose it the first time I lisitend to it.

Catch me in the hood, eating barbeque
When my father died, I said fuck school
I put a nice suit on and got some marijuana
Eight years later, George Bush was a goner
I run the military, *****, if you want that beef
I give a long-ass speech and put your ass to sleep
Shorty, talk is cheap, so watch what you say
I'm the president of the fucking USA

Also his little dance at 1:20, I will be doing that with a bottle of something in my hands the next time I drink.

Day 13- A song that is a guilty pleasure

This is just a fun little song. The reason it's a guilty pleasure is because it's from a sort of dorky band in They Might be Giants, and I also discovered it on Homestarrunner years ago. I'm by no means embarrassed to say I like this song, it's just something that warrants an explanation.

Day 14- A song that nobody would expect you to like.

It's sort of a chick song, but it's so fucking good! I even learned how to play it on guitar, I like it so much. I don't really know what it's about, I don't have any emotional attachment to the lyrics or anything, but Michelle Branch's voice is phenomenal, and the guitar part is sweet. I think it's about wanting to be with someone who has a lot of problems and make them feel better, and that's something I can definitely relate to, but that doesn't even matter. The song as a whole is amazing, and it's easily one of my favorite woman rock songs out there.

Day 13: A Song That's A Guilty Pleasure

Lil Wayne- Steady Mobbin

I'm just not a huge fan of Lil Wayne. I get his appeal, but it just isn't for me. However, this song is just too catchy to me. The metaphors are just funny as shit and the hook just works for me. Still, I think the dude is an annoying twat, but he can deliver some catchy shit every now and then.

Day 13- A song that is a guilty pleasure

I know, I know!

After despising everything to do with Busted when they first came on the scene, I discovered that this song grew on me more and more every time I heard it. I really do think its impossible to dislike. It's cheesy, childish but just so catchy and fun to listen to.

I almost never skip it when it comes on to my ipod and I love walking round in public with it on my headphones, knowing what people would think if they heard what I was listening to. Fuck it, its not a "GOOD" song, but its a little guilty pleasure. If we didn't have those, what would we be? Machines, that's what!

Haters gonna hate, but thats what I went to school forrrrr

Day 14: A song that noone would expect you to like

This really is the most incredible voice I have ever heard, and probably the most emotional piece of music ever made.

I usually cannot stand opera music, I just do not enjoy it, but for some reason this song has always moved me. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Pavarotti was an unbelievable talent, his voice is incredible and although many other tenors sing this song too, Pav made it is own.

It is my Dad's favourite piece of music of all time, and regularly brings him to tears every time he hears it. I have heard an English tenor sing it before a Bolton Wanderers match once, and I saw so many grown men crying in the stadium due to the power of Nessun Dorma. A magnificent song.

Day 14: A song no one would expect you to like.

Lady Gaga: Bad Romance.

Lady Gaga is actually an artist people wouldn't expect me to like. However I tend to like her. At first I didn't but her songs were just so catchy. This one is one of her best.

Day 14: A song no one would expect you to like.

Well, a song that no one would expect me to like??? I've also got plenty, I like alot salsa and tango for example. Those two genres are far superior than any metal song. Anyway, maybe something a little pop, hip if you will :)banghead:) :

Yep I do like Katy Perry's MUSIC. Lol, not only her smoking body! Okay, I only really like this song, but not because is catchy, but because lyrically is different and musically is very well structured. From all the singles I've listened to, this song is definitely the best both musically and lyrically speaking that this great artist have.

Day 15- A song that describes you

Bit big-headed I know, but I like to think of myself as a pretty charming guy. I am friendly, pretty easy to get on with and I think this song kinda fits that.

It is always hard choosing a song that describes you but this is probably the closest I am going to find I reckon

Day 14: A Song Nobody Would Expect You To Like

Yeah I know. I have no defense for liking it either, I just do. Despite the fact that I do have self respect, I just can't help but find most of her music catchy. This one was the first however, simply because of the Whale ****es episode of South Park where Cartman does his own rendition. Fucking hilarious, yet I'm a bit upset for with them for exposing me to her music while I was trying to avoid it like the Plague.

I'm sorry to those who have lost all respect for me.

At the rate Im going, im going to somehow turn this into the 90 day challenge for myself.....

Day 6: A Song that Reminds you of Somewhere

Ok, so the song reminds of....A Dashboard Confessional concert in 2005. I know that sounds quite boring, because well, it's a DC song. But at the time, it was the only song I knew, and the title seemed apropos for that night. My good friend Amy had invited me to go, as a fourth with her best friend and her boyfriend. The thing was, Amy was quite engaged, yet her fiancee refused to do anything that remotely involved socializing. So along I went as her date, little to know the night that awaited.

Thrice was the band that was supposed to open for them, but the girls decided they wanted to blow them off to do shots at the bar near the venue. Whatever it was, I was one and done, cause that shit was nasty. Amy, her best friend and her boyfriend(who coincidentally became one of my best friends) kept drinking, and all 3 were sloshed by the time we got to the concert. Thrice was just finishing up with "All That's Left" when we got to the venue, and DC came on shortly after.

Well, I found some things out about my friend Amy when shes' drunk, mostly that shes a horny ****. I had no issue being her "date" for the concert, but I did when she kept trying to grab my dick every 5 minutes. After a good 45 minutes of trying to keep her hands away, I just gave up, as it truly was a fruitless endeavor, and at a concert with a drunk friend isn't really the time to try and explain to someone the morals of what it means to be engaged. I can't believe I remember this, but Screaming Infidelities started playing when I finally gave up, and Ill never forget the sexualized look she gave me when the song began, as if she was getting away with something.

And then she decided to tell her fiancee when she sobered up the next day, but the fallout is another story for another day. ;)

Day 15: A song that describes you.

Bon Jovi: It's Your Life.

If you guys read some of my other posts in the music section you know that I'm a Bon Jovi fan. They are one of my favorites. Although I find a lot of their songs relatable(sp) I think this one is what best describes me. I mean the title says it all. The title speaks volumes in its self and then you listen to the song. It's our lives and we should live our lives the way that we want or see best for ourselves. That's my big speech for the day. :)

Day 15: A Song That Describes You

Tech N9ne- Slacker

I thought this one would be hard but as it turns out, it was harder to decide which one I was going to use. It was between this or a song called Asshole by the same guy. I ultimately stuck with this because I feel I relate to the song a little better.

"Never did I have a lot of dough.. Smokin' pot and watchin' videos."

That may be one of my favorite lines. It really doesn't apply to me as much anymore since I quit smoking about a year ago, but the Slacker elements suit me. I'm a lay cunt who does nothing but sit on my ass and watch videos all day. That has some merit to it, as being a stay at home dad really isn't all that difficult.

Day 16: A song that you use to love that you now hate

Justin Timberlake: Love Stoned

I wouldn't say I hate it because I don't. However I use to get pumped up and excited when I heard the song. The other day when I heard this song I was like "whatever." I like this song but this one is not my favorite JT songs.

Day 15: A Song That Describes You

I think this song describes me. Many friends (and foes) have told me that I am an idealist. I try to be coherent between my ideals/principles and my life by applying them. That's why I "give it all" for my principles. I chose my career not only because I actually like it, but also because I see how can I help others. As far music and art concerns, my principle, as the song says, is "the reason why I sing". I see myself as someone who wants AND WILL dedicate his life towards his principles...."I give it all"

Day 13: A Song That's A Guilty Pleasure

I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. Coming from a passionate Leeds fan, it takes a lot to say I like a song from any other football club. But I can't say I dislike the song.

Day 14: A Song Nobody Would Expect You To Like

Coming from someone who dosen't like Akon or David Guetta very much. I have to say this tune is a fucking great. It used to constantly be played in clubs. But like a lot of todays mainstream music, it was forgotten about like 4 months after it's release.

Day 15: A Song That Describes You

This was the first song to come to mind. I can't deny being lazy. The only time I like to think I'm not lazy, is playing matches for Tramore Athletic. Infact I wasn't sure which song to pick untill my girlfriend gave out to me for being so lazy.

Day 17: A song you here often on the radio.

Bruno Mars: Just The Way You Are.

I love this song. When I heard this song from Bruno Mars I thought that this song was awesome. Then I heard Grenade. I decided to check out some of his other songs and had to buy his album. I definately enjoy this song.

Day 16: A Song You Used To Like But Now Hate

Puddle Of Mudd- She Fuckin' Hates Me

This fucking song, man. I remember being a kid and just loving this song just because of all of the profanity. I was listening to it all the time because my brother had the CD. Then it came on the radio and just got played the fuck out. Even as a kid, I was sick to god damn death of this song.

Looking back, I don't get it. It's just a cliche song about relationships like every rock band does whenever they suck. Theory Of a Deadman anyone?

Worst of all, Wes is from my hometown. He's a cunt.
