Buddy of mine is a New York Giants fan. For years I told him how awesome it was when the Cowboys won the Super Bowl. When the Giants won the Super Bowl I got a text saying now he got why I said it was such a big deal. I'll tell you the same thing I told him: just take it all in and enjoy the feeling. You never know when it might come again.

I said that Buck Showalter was right on schedule, unfortunately his calendar often ends around here. Beats bottom-feeding. If we can stay healthy and avoid another October buzzsaw (well done, KC. Sweep it out!), we'll be on the other side of the ass whoopin' next year.

A buddy of mine sent me a message that the Royals are going to the World Series.

If the Cardinals can make it through it will the be the best World Series in the history of baseball for my inner child.

If the Giants make it though then I'll be hardcore rooting for the Royals.

How loud was the place when the final out happened? Did you taunt any O's fans or just harassing Butcher?

It was ridiculously loud. To a good portion of the crowd this was the biggest sports win they had ever seen and the others had been waiting 30 years(not counting sporting kc's win last year as soccer isn't as popular). I didn't witness any taunting toward Orioles fans(other than people with brooms but that wasn't a shot at fans) and the group of them tailgating near us seemed like pretty decent people. I feel like the city has such a positive outlook in general right now that most of the people don't really feel the need to bring anybody else down.

If the Cardinals can't pull off the three game sweep to win the series, my allegiance lies with KC. I'd love to see them win, oh and also, fuck San Francisco. Hopefully they don't get iced by waiting around though.
