I was rooting for the Tigers this postseason but you can't win in the playoffs without a bullpen. It doesn't matter how good your starters and hitters are. If your bullpen is shit, then you won't win at this level, bottom line.

I was calling on Jones and Delmon Young delivers instead. At this point Buck Showalter and Dan Duquette are rivaling John Harbaugh and Ozzie Newsome for my favorite coach/GM pairing. Talk about acquiring talent at a value and maximizing all of your players. These guys have believed and bought into Showalter since day one and Buck is right on schedule. This is a great ride.

I've been an NL guy all my life. That said, I can't stand the Cards, Giants, or the Dodgers. So I will be rooting for the O's or the Royals come series time. If the Expos somehow pull off a miracle then I will hope they win it all. Yes, I called them the Expos.
