Xbox 360: Madden 2010: Franchise Sign-Up

CPU games get boring to me so I want more human games which is why I am considering the Giants as well.

Outside of losing Osi, the Giants still have the majority of their team intact. And Osi was dropped because he was "2nd" on their depth chart believe it or not. Either that, or the guy replacing him was younger and going to improve over him. Not sure.

The point is.. Osi wasn't a huge loss.

The only issue with the Giants is..

A.) Eli is your QB.
B.) You have Clinton Portis instead of Brandon Jacobs (in my opinion, thats a better value though)
C.) No real WR's since the version we're dealing with doesn't accept the "other" Steve Smith or Manningham, as actual targets. (Manningham is a FA as well)
D.) Their Defense, to my knowledge, is getting old.

On the plus side.. if you want more human opponents. You'll have a guaranteed 4 a year, but unless you finish in a similar position to Ty or Myself, you'd never face us until our division matched up.

Personally.. I think your best option may ironically be the Niners as a re-build, the Cardinals since they still have a very powerful offense, and just need a Defense, or the Packers if you can somehow find a valuable QB in the draft.

Not for nothing.. the Falcons are decent as well. Future QB in Matt Ryan, great back in Turner. Solid #1 WR in White, and a Hall of Fame TE in Gonzo (even though he may retire) Their defense has a Julius Peppers-isque DE in Abraham.. all you truly need to rebuild their is your defensive secondary.

I just can't beat human controlled teams and I would like to make the playoffs. I know this sounds stupid, but I just can't beat anyone in this game.

The thing is, you have to play humans to mold your craft and continue to get better. I think Marquis would be a prime example of this. He never played Madden (so he said) and lost a lot of human games to begin with, but then learned over time and began winning human games.

Maybe its not that you can't beat humans, so much as you can't beat humans - with the team you have, currently. I've experienced this before. In other leagues where I've selected teams besides Carolina, I've lost more than won with them against humans. Its all about who you're comfortable with.

Like Baller said, if you don't like your team or believe you can't win - switch teams. Arizona actually has a great team and a ton of offensive weapons. While your QB may need an upgrade, and your defense should be added to.. you have Boldin and Fitz, along with Forte at RB. Its a very stacked team.

If you aren't able to play, please let me know so you can concede your game to your opponent.

My first guess would be something on Scotty's end, since INDY has played human games before already. I'm assuming you've both checked your connections and naturally they're working.

I'd try looking for a possible Problems and Solutions Q&A on the internet. (where, I don't know) Also check xbox live for Connection issues. Otherwise, hopefully someone else in the league may know what to do.

Eh I would contact your ISP and see if they have anything they can do to your modem to open up your connection more for Xbox Live. Your modem/router has a firewall and if the ports aren't opened properly, it won't allow full access to your connection. Look at it this way, you have a wall you're trying to push water through. You have a small hole to push the water through and a large amount of water. The hole only allows as much as it can through it. Now you take a drill and make a larger hole. The water will flow through much quicker with the larger hole. So opening the correct ports is equivalent to drilling a larger hole in the wall.

And if any of that made sense to you, I did a better job explaining than I thought. Bottom line, contact your ISP for help opening the ports.

I was in the playoffs but yes I threw a pick instead of kicking a field goal because I wanted to win. I have no regrets. Wayne was open and Cromarti got to the ball faster. Shit happens, move on.

That would do it. I have two modems at my house actually, one is for testing purposes and that's hooked up right now. It has an automatic configuration settings for Xbox Live so that was nice. My other one I had to set up a DMZ so there was no confusion where the data for Xbox Live was supposed to go.

Once again, I'm leaving the deadline to a relatively close time so we can all try to get our games played as soon as possible. The quicker you get in contact with your opponent and work out a time to play, the easier it'll be to figure everything out and move forward.

I would appreciate if everyone would focus on trying to get their games done by Wednesday, if not sooner. However, if you must get an extension, then please let me know BEFORE WEDNESDAY.

I have been meaning to bow down to you for beating Moon Knight in week 17. By you beating him, I won my division, so thanks.

And actually, if either of you won your division, we will play next season, since the way NFL (and Madden) schedules work ensures that the 4 division winners of each conference play each other.
