Because from a kayfabe POV we'll know who the "true" # 1 contender is. A triple threat would not be logical. It would be dumb.

If Rollins/Bryan wins at Fast Lane: WWE will backtrack and patch up anything and not bother fixing things unless fans scream into their ears that they're making obvious errors in judgment.

If Reigns wins: All this was fucking pointless and WWE is just flipping you off.
