There's no reason it would make a lick of sense other than they're both spooky.

And they're both iconic; they're two of the most respected wrestlers in the business. One is WCW's greatest and the other is among WWE's greatest. Also, Taker has already faced almost everyone of Sting's stature. And so on... It would make a lot of sense, although it doesn't really have to, as some of Taker's streak matches from the last 10 years would say.
