WWE Backlash 2016 Live Discussion

So Bray vs. Kane is a better match than Bray vs. Ibushi? Please, please, just tell me why. No one gained anything from it. The Orton feud could've just easily been forward with anyone, even a fan. Please, enlighten me why Kane fighting Bray was such a good idea for you or at least, why is it a better idea than having a CWC competitor (remember, CWC is actually a show WWE pays to produce therefore they probably want good results) have an exhibition match in a WWE PPV produced.

You can't. It's not stupid. It could've worked and you hypocrites would've loved it.
It couldn't have worked as well as what happened.

I guess that World Title run Del Rio was promised was given to Styles.

Good old school match, good finish. They made good calls with the results, I feel happy.

Everything else was boring but at least we have AJ Styles as WWE Champion. Good enough for me. I wonder how many in this forum have wrongly said in the past that it would never happen.

That was a really good match. AJ was great as usual and Ambrose showed why he's better than some give him credit for.

:wtf:

AJ STYLES IS WWE WORLD CHAMPION!

AJ Styles just became the first wrestler to be TNA, IWGP, NWA and WWE World Champion. With this last minute deal, AJ Styles can actually be a candidate in a years time to the WWE Hall of Fame.

Who in the blue hell is Ibushi, why should he debut and lose to Bray Wyatt and why should I, the WWE fan, care about him?
A competitor in the Cruiserweight Classic Spoder has a hard-on for who isn't even under contract and has stated he isn't going to be.

Try this: "People this is Ibushi, he's fighting in the CWC finals, you know, a show WE produced for you on OUR WWE Network. Don't know him? Well, after his match with Bray Wyatt, you'll want to tune in."

That's how business usually works.

What a hell of a match. Definitely ended that show on a bang. Loved it.

Can't believe it's even possible that AJ Styles could be WWE Champion, let alone that he is.

I'd find a way to drag that to WrestleMania if possible. I'm sure AJ vs RKO has to happen at some point in the near future before AJ vs Cena happens again.

That's true. Cena's next reign is a big one. Saving it for Mania is probably for the best.

And AJ vs. Orton could happen at Survivor Series.,

No, it isn't.

Semi-Finals dude not Finals.

Also why would they waste time, money & any effort on someone they won't be able to capitalize on?

You know, if Bray can lose to Kane with interference he can lose to Ibushi, or anyone else from the CWC as well. And it would sell the CWC final perfectly.
I like the way you involved Bryan as well. The fact that RAW gets the Cruiserweight division shouldn't stop this. Not all cruiserweights at the CWC will be in the division.

I think it's thinking outside the box.

It's very mind blowing that this conversation persists, but the long and short of why this doesn't work is:

1) As far as anyone knows Ibushi has a very specific contract with the WWE allowing him to work the CWC and nothing else
2) The fraction of people watching the CWC vs watching Backlash is small
3) It completely lacks story or any reason for being
4) It means that either Bray takes a loss to a newcomer who isn't even under contract, or a guy who might be able to be a part of WWE's long term plans in the cruiserweight division on Raw loses in his first match.

This isn't difficult.
